In chapter 10 where we see Draco, Severus was feeling hopeless about the matter. He'd already tried the legal ways, as we see with Scrimgour's comment about Severus needing to stop defending his Death Eater pals. Will he resort to other means? Who (or whom) is it that the mysterious person wanting to break into Azkaban wants to free? Hmmm... More soon!

Yes, Snape was very curious, especially has he would have never expected Hermione to have the initiative to commit to something at which being successful requirest more than book knowledge.

As for Hermione, this is her chance to convince Snape to really work with her, to set a higher tone to the working relationship than the expected reluctance and annoyance he would most likely have had instead.Yes, a true Slytherin… letting the Gryffindor chatterbox go on and on while he listens, ascertains, and craftily calculates what to do with the influx of information.  =)

Too bad she surprises him so much that he is too confused to be conniving!

! I'm glad you liked this chapter. I felt sorry for Severus too (and for just about everyone in that scene, excluding, of course, Bellatrix Lestrange—heh)!

They both will have to reach for understanding. Their intense attraction to each other has brought them together, but they are both a bit clueless about how to have a relationship with each other.

Harry is concerned about Hermione's well-being, and he still has many of the same feelings towards Snape that he had in canon. He misjudges his actions and views them with suspicion. Mostly, he just wants to ensure that he doesn't harass his friend, so he will be keeping a keen eye on him, yes!
LOL, yes, Hermione has her dark (and delicious!) knight who will, most certainly, be protective of her =)
