Reviews for Geneamorology
enjoying the story...LOVED the line "...I don't need much to be happy." upon thinking about the engagement party. Gotta love Snape.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thank you. I enjoy writing this Snape too.
Hmmm... Is Hermione's inquiring mind going to land her in trouble, one wonders? Good chapter, you've still got me hooked.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Sometimes, people don't let their mind get too close to discomfort zone, and Hermione is just going to avoid to confront her suspicions. Besides, she's busy plotting the demise of her marriage.
I continue to love how their voices are evolving in this story. Especially Hermione's larva comment!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thanks. It was both fun and challenging to write the two voices in this story.
OMG! everyone is sooo evil! Dang! I hope there is some happiness to be found somewhere!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Happiness yes, but not in a traditional form.
I'm glad that Hermioe chose to save face by being sneaky in her asking for money. I enjoyed, as always, the split perspectives. Well done.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
That was part of the fun ;) Thanks for reading.
Only Severus would be difficult AFTER sex, lolo to funny!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
But he's mellower. Thank you.
At least Hermione was clever enough to perfectly time her request for finances.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
She's learning... Thanks for reading.
Very entertaining story!I've been noticing the regular updates and since it reached the 10+ chapter mark (which I have a habit of waiting for with WIPs) I finally decided to give it a read.I honestly don't prefer first person writing, since it can be difficult to write believable action and detail smoothly... but this is very good! The plot is moving wonderfully. Both of the characters are very canon, and nothing is better than evil/snarky canon Severus.Looking forward to the next update!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Don't fear for updates! The story is finished in French, and will be entirely translated.
It was a challenge to write in the first person. It was the first (and only to date) time I tried my hand at it. It's quite an exercise.
Fantastic! I especially love how the twins are very blustery and ineffectual. They're great, don't get me wrong, but yeah. Blustery. And in this case, ineffectual. I especially like how Hermione was sneaksy enough to ask for money post-sex. Again-fantastic!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thank you very much.
This is a very sad marriage. Is it going to improve?
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
It isn't a classical marriage by far. Don't expect words of love from those two. Their life will be more of a modus vivendi than sharing. Their relationship will always be based on manipulation, but they will enjoy it.
up to when she asks money for new robes when I’m still under the effect of post-coital bliss.
That's a pretty Slytherinesque time to ask!
It's strange, rooting for both of their plans to succeed... Looking forward to more.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
difficult to choose between the two? Yes, I can see that.
I'm having fun reading selfish Snape, and Hermione trying and failing to find likeable things about his character is amusing.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
I'm glad you enjoy it.
This is a really great story. I'm always gunshy about reading a story that's not completed, but I couldn't tear myself away. Great Job!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thank you. If that can reassure you, the story is complete in French. It's just a matter of translating now.
Response from potterbrat (Reviewer)
Oh -- is that all? LOL! No problem.
Hi I really liked reading your story but untill I finish mourning for canon snape, I can't handle anymore of snape death,so before I read any further I need to ask you is the death of your warning implies he is dying in your story too?
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
No, the character death warning was for McGonagall in the first chapter. There will be no more death in this story.
Response from onyxbluemoon (Reviewer)
Great! (not that I'm wishing death on anyone, but as long as Snape is alive) I am going to read it right now. Iloved the story.
I love the contrast that you have-everyone treating Snape like a romantic hero, but treating Hermione like a little seductive tart. It's so close to real life! As always, I can't wait for the next chapter.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thanks so much. I'm afraid those kind of discrimination are deeply ensconced in people's psyche. I've just sent the next chapter to my beta.
Thanks for reading.
LOL. I almost feel a bit sorry for Snape. Hermione might be malleable at this point, but once she dries up, I'm sure she'll be a force to be reckoned with...
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
You'e right. Give her a few years to get the hang of Severus, and he won't be the almighty husband anymore.
I've got to be better about keeping up with my favorite stories. I take a break and you've uploaded all these chapters on me! I quite like it. : ) The wedding should be interesting - I'm wondering how many guests will leave hexed.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Hey, only a chapter a week! How long was your break? Consider it as a nice coming-back surprise.
I enjoyed writing the wedding, which will be in the next chapter.
Loved Hermione's retaliation against the Weasleys! Severus's reaction to it has me wondering if her attempts to get him to divorce her will impress/amuse him.
Looking forward to more!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
I'm glad you liked it. I thought that rubbing their noses in their mistakes would be the worse punishment for them.
Severus will mostly realise that his wife isn't his lapdog, far from it.
Great updates. Not to fond of Severus attitude towards Hermiones parents, but not to be avoided I guess with regards to his true nature. I love the way he is realising that Hermione migth not be that easily to "handle" as he first thougth:-) Keep up the good work and update again soon!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
A too easy wife wouldn't have suited him, whatever he thinks. Thanks you.
poor hermoine....i want to send someone a howler! it sounds so fun to amke one! loved it as always!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thank you.
Great chapter! I really loved the back-and-forth POVs and thought that the narration worked quite well. Stupid Weasleys! I feel terribly for Hermione...but, then again, whe really is much better off without Ron. I can't wait for the next chapter!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
That's a very nice thing to say. Thank you for reading.
I'm glad Harry is good with this. Hermione needs him. And Snape? Hey, I like Snape.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Hermione needs her friends.
Snape isn't supposed to be likeable, but I like him nonetheless.
Meeting with Weasleys was really good. I can't wait for the wedding and, of course, wedding night
I suppose poor little Hermione won't be able to convince any potential employer she is the best person to hire?
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Your wishes will be granted in the next chapter.
Why wouldn't Hermione be able to land a job? She's the best.
Response from Bawetta (Reviewer)
Becouse:
1) Severus needs an unemployed spouse - plot reasons;
2) Who want to hire a person with disturbingly revolutionary ideas?
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Ah, but Severus might find an interest in an employed spouse, and not everyone would be disturbed by Hermione's ideas.
Response from Bawetta (Reviewer)
But doesn't he has to be the only one family supporter to work with certain ingredients?
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
He must not go over a certain amount or earning for the family, and well, there are ways, but I don't want to disclose everything now.
Response from Bawetta (Reviewer)
Don't! It would be like checking your christmas gifts a week earlier - loosing all the fun. :-)
You know, I am really enjoying watching the Weasley's squirm, and I like them too lol.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thank you. It was fun to write.
