Reviews for Geneamorology
Naughty, naughty Severus. He'd better change some nappies now! I'm hoping her pregnancy and the birth will engender an attitude change in the curmudgeon. As always, I look forward to reading more!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
I think it'd be better for the children if Severus stayed far away from nappies. His attitude will change... a bit. Next chapter is the epilogue, and will be up soon hopefully.
Poor Hermione, tricked into a pregnancy and then having to figure out what to do. :)
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
I too sympathise with Hermione, but somehow, she managed to get the upper hand on Severus in this situation.

I pity Severus if he and Hermione get to the point where they care for each other, and then she finds out about this . . .
Author's Response:
They will care for each other, in their own, different way.
Don't worry about Hermione finding out Severus's trick. She have developed a tendency to make the best of each situation.
I'm feeling very conflicted here....would it have killed him to admit that he wanted the child (regardless of the reason why)? Not a very healthy marriage, in any event.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
This Severus can't acknowledged such feelings; he has too many issues to consciously deal with positive emotions, though he will mellow somewhat in time.
I don't know if their marriage is healthy or not. It doesn't appear so to me, just different.
That went a lot better than I expected it to! Than again, Hermione doesn't know that this is "his fault." I doubt it won't be long before the dragon dung hits the fan.Good update!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Hermione will figure it out, but her mind has started its "Slytherinisation", and she will make the best out of the situation.
Thank you.
Sev is so devious! Damn I love that man! Hermione is not going to be best pleased. I foresee some fireworks in the not too distant future.Good chapter. Thanks.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Plotting certainly makes for an interesting marital life.
If I have to convince a woman to marry me before the first of April, I would do well to research how one courts a woman. It should not be that different from service with the Dark Lord, but there is no harm in being sure.
LOL!! Oh my. Well, I suppose that's true for courting some women, but by no means all!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
How would Severus know? He only had "easy" women.
Response from firefly124 (Reviewer)
That's exactly why it's so funny: that his experience is so limited he thinks this must be a reasonable generalization.
Severus's little web is getting more and more tangled. I wonder how far into his lies he's going to end up.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Severus lies as easily as he breathes. But Hermione will learn to entangle the threads of Severus's web with time.
Much as I'm not surprised by the results, my heart does go out to them.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Ditto. I'm not even sure Geneamorology is that reliable... Perhaps they could have been happy together.
Once again, the tightrope this relationship walks between antagonism and accommodation is absorbing. But it feels as if things just got very dangerous for Mr. and Mrs. Snape in this chapter!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Not that dangerous, just "interesting".
the tightrope this relationship walks between antagonism and accommodation I really appreciate your wording.
Ha ha, sneaky Severus triumphs yet again! Love it!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
For how long though?
Minister of Magic is, as usual,a dork. Please smack him around. I think our 'happy couple' is very entertaining as well. Keep up the good work.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thank you. The next chapter will be up soon.
Devious! What an author.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thanks very much.
Poor Hermione, she's going to have to stay on her toes.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Hey, but the same can be said for Severus, you know.
I really love this story and I love your Snape. He schemes and manipulates, but he's not evil and you can't help but want him to succeed in whatever he's plotting. I also love the battle of wills between him and Hermione, as she also schemes to get out the marriage (in between bouts of great sex). They have the oddest marriage ever, but somehow it works. I can't wait to read more!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Your review warm s my heart so much. This Snape is not far from evil, though, but I'm so very fond of him. He's found a worthy partner in Hermione. All she needs is a bit of experience.
The oddest marriage ever was entirely intentional. Not all love stories are made with perfume, bouquets, chocolates and clinging.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Hermione takes the news of her pregnancy. I'm thinking denial. Or possibly rage.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Neither, really. You'll see in the next chapter.
Uh-oh. Collision course now, unless Hermione does an oil check . And knowing Hermione, she will figure out that something is up, but will she do so before or after the morning sickness?
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
You'll know in the next chapter. I will give you a clue: she didn't expect to be a mother so early.
I love your scheming, evil Snape! Great chapter!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Thank you. I'm quite fond of him myself.
Yay, a new chapter!
Well, well, it seems like Hermione will start soon to analyse our Potion Master actions. I can't wait for what's coming!
Great job, Septentrion :)
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
But I'm not sure she'll get far. When one does not want to see...
Thank you for reading.
That does sound like a job Hermione would like. Ooh, is she going to figure out that Severus wasn't forced to kill Dumbledore?
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
I feel a bit smug to have thought of a job in law months before Jo said that Hermione would work in it.
There are truths people don't want to know, don't want to be aware of, and this might be one of them for Hermione.
Thanks for reading.
It must be a novelty, searching for a mistress for one's husband! Miranda sounds interesting, but I get a feeling that plan is going to fall through somehow.
Is Hermione going to regret not investigating Severus's lack of guilt? Uncovering the truth might have been the best way to rid herself of an unwanted husband.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Your guess is accurate, as you will see in the next chapter.
Hermione, for some reason, doesn't want to go into Severus's past. She believes him to have helped the Order, and she's set on her plan. And she really can't consider the idea of being married to a monster right now. She isn't life-experienced enough to handle it.
Hermione is receiving perfectly good sex, OK not lovemaking, but she is looking for a mistress for her husband. I presume this mistress would take her place in his bed. I realize that Severus has not been pleasant to live with so far, but the only pleasant thing she has going is what she is working on eliminating? I'm puzzled.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Hermione wants a divorce. if she can catch Severus in flagrante delicto with another woman, she can get her wish. Good sex doesn't make a wedding.
Uh-oh! It looks like the jig might soon be up for Severus! I never thought that someone might discover his true loyalites. That would certainly be an interesting twist. Great chpater!
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
Actually, Hermione will never bring herself to dig into it too much. It would mean too many things she isn't ready to deal with right now. Perhaps she'll find out later in life, but at that time, she'll probably choose to remain silent and use the information to blackmail her husband.
I'm glad Hermione isn't totally dependent on Severus. My great grandmother had some marital advice for the women in our family passed down.1. Never let your husband know everything in your head and heart.2. Always have some money put to the side that he doesn't know about.3. Always have him think he loves you more than you love him.I thought this was terrible until my first marriage. Needless to say I was broke, abused and not happy. I now follow grans advice and I have a wonderful husband whom I adore and he doesn't treat me like a maid. He buys me flowers 'just because' and appreciates the work I do. If this little saga gives you plot bunnies for this or future stories you are welcome to use them. And why the long saga to begin with? Simple, Hermione is seemingly following the advice already. Great chapter, wonderful story.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
I like your gran's advice. That's a sensible way to deal with a long-term relationship. I've depicted a very independant Hermione in this story, a Hermione who would probably suffer in a relationship with Ron, but not right away, only after a few years, when she knows herself better.
A very entertaining chapter. Snape's glee at the opportunity to taunt the ministry and the Order is perfect. I'm looking forward to Hermione's attempt to get him together with her chosen mistress.
Response from septentrion (Author of Geneamorology)
What would be life without its little pleasures?
You'll get your wish in the next chapter.
