The war is over and the last of the Death Eaters have been rounded up and sent to Azkaban. Moved by the spirit of celebration and blissful in their own new-found contentment, Hermione Granger's friends begin to wonder if the never-ending battle of wits between she and Severus Snape isn't a hint of something more. When they decide to test their theory with a little matchmaking scheme, their meddling puts Snape in a position to save Hermione from a debilitating evil. But how far is he willing to go to help her?

I love how Hermione said she'd have to burn down her library, if Snape was in her good books! The conversation between Severus and Remus, and then Bill too, was very funny. Thanks for the laughs and the update!

Thank you! I am so glad you liked it! I can't take all the credit as I borrowed the basic ideas from Shakespeare. He's a great writing partner. :)
I don't know how I missed this, when it came out in the Exchange! (I'll admit that I cheated, however; I went back to the Exchange and read the whole thing, but I'm reviewing it here. Hee.) I love the way you've started this, and how we have hints of what is to come. Nice, intriguing, but not overdone.

Considering the title, I realized fairly quickly that this story would be a Harry Potter version of "Much Ado About Nothing" with Severus as Benedick and Hermione as Beatrice -- but Remus and Tonks as Claudio and Hero?!? I think that one's going to be tough to pull off!

I'll just say that this is inspired by but not a complete adaptation of "Much Ado." The conflict or levity of the story will be coming from a different place.
Oh, Hermione! damnit, the only person who could give clues for a countercurse is dead. Looks like Snape's extensive expertise and knowledge is needed. . . .
