Hey.  So I always found the idea of Harry watching a tender, romantic, erotic moment between Herms and Sevs kinda squicky and skipped this fic despite the multiple opportunities I had to read it.  Now, though, I've read it (thanks in large part to quiz_sshg) and I'm glad I did.  It was a nice counterpoint to the two HG/SS fics that made me have to blow my nose in a pair of dirty pajama pants (That's a secret.  I don't have kleenex in my room and the house's toilet paper has gotten quite cheap of late, which is too sensitive for my nose.) if I wanted to breathe around the whole sobbing/swelling thing.I know it's older, so I wouldn't have commented at all (even though I advocate reviews on stories old and new, because I am lazy), but I found an em dash with spaces around it toward the beginning, and I felt cheeky enough to point it out.And, hey, tell whoever's in charge of featured fics that I really appreciate the nod.  Because I do.

I know that I read this over at FF.net.  I thought I left a review there, but I just checked and I didn't! So I'll leave one here. :) 

Such a lovely story!  You did a fantastic job with Harry.   I love how you made him start to think - he didn't totally accept it right away, but rather began the process of accepting it and of changing himself.  So well, done.  I just love this story.  Definitely one of my favorite one-shots ever.

This is just a lovely story. Beautiful scenario and lovely character development.  It's so hard for Snape to be tender, and you do that so well here.  And it seems that Harry the voyeur at last learns something from the Professor!

From your mouth to Rowling's ear! I _want_ to like Harry. I _want_ to love Harry the way I used to. And I'm so terribly afraid I won't be able to after book 7. I like your ending better.

You did an amazing job of developing the steps from anger to confusion in Harry's internal dialogue. I was worried at first that the story was less plot and more voyeristic porn (which I wouldn't complain about either) though it starts with a depth unusual to pwps. You kept the depth from beginng to end. Great Job!

Absolutely amazing!  I'm sitting here teary eyed because it was so beautiful.  :)  Changes and growing up...and coming to grip with the things we are least proud of...and allowing ourselves the happiness we all deserve despite our actions...fantastic :)

Aw..That was wonderful.  To think that Severus and Hermione had fallen in love the past year and how much she helped him..I was giggling while reading Harry's thoughts about Severus and all of his faults...  I'm glad that Harry will be open to their relationship now that he knows the truth.  This was a nice read.

Oh, this is such an amazing story! Not only a great entry in the Fall Prompt challenge, but generally sound and well-written.

You have portrayed the characters as I believe how they could behave. Harry, angry and bitter, but able to think when hit on the head with the truth; Snape, still his nasty self but not a martyr and capable of feeling love without becoming sappy; and Hermione, not a supergirl who knows everything, but also only a woman who, though very smart, needs more than that, too.

Among a lot of drivel in fanfiction this is one of the few gems, and one of my favourites now.
