Sequel to 'Courtesy of Your Fairy God-Jarvey.' Hermione mistakes Severus' intimations that he would like to deepen their relationship for just the opposite, and unintentionally pushes him away. With their relationship needlessly on the rocks, it's Regina Fletcher, to the rescue! More wacky fluff, with a dash of fluffy angst!

Mostly Harmless! Though I have to admit, I'm even stranger than I appear. ;-) There's a pile of unbeta'd stuff on my LJ (dracfic) if you're interested in Raw, Untamed, fanfic.
Believe it or not, "How Argus Filch Got Wild, Got Laid, and Got His Magic" has been rec'ed by Know It Alls! It's true! They gave me this pretty lil' ribbon and everything! And in March 2007, they saw fit to likewise reccommend (as an antidote to angst) the story that started it all, 'Courtesy of Your Fairy God-Jarvey'--just in time for the first anniversary of that story's posting! *hugs Harm*
(I also have to admit that 'mostly harmless' may not be the most apt description of a member of the Mad Chatters...)
Finally, I just have to say... Storyville. If you were there, you know what I mean.Reviews for Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey
Damn it woman. Why didn't you tell me you updated two more chapters here? I have the link at Ashwinder in Story Monitor (this site doesn't support it).
You should've send Reggie my way. She would've learnt a lot of colourful Spanish expletives just by hearing me when I found out there were two more chapters I didn't know about.
Now, I go read them. ;) I'll review later.

Oops! Guess I've been neglecting my self-promotion activities on Potter Place. Must wobble on over there!*giggle* Be careful what you wish for--Reggie might decide she wants some dancing lessons in the birthplace of the Tango, and as Severus knows, she can be a right irritating houseguest!
Response from Maddy Riddle (Reviewer)
No problem. I was able to find them anyway... ;)
I don't know. Irritating houseguest as she may be, she may help me get my own snarky bastard. *giggles*
I love this story, loved the first one too. I admit that I am also curious to know what happens with Ginny and Draco - does the poor manipulative Ferret have a fairy-god Jarvey? Is Ginny the Weasel his ideal (they both seem pretty manipulative to me)...
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Thank you! In the face of such kind words, I feel a little guilty revealing this, but... I'm afraid some questions simply won't be answered in the epilogue. Not since I have a good 12,000+ words of a sequel written so far...Shhh! That's a secret!
Response from Raye (Reviewer)
Okay, you now have me eagerly waiting...I loved the first story so much I saved it to disk to take to work (where we aren't allowed to access certain sites) to read in my lunch break.
Really enjoying this one
I hope this epilogue is going to be a nice long one, with a lead in to the jarvey getting a series of her own (well, a girl can hope )
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Ah, well, long epilogue... no. More Jarvey? You bet your sweet bippy! Yahooooo!
Give the Jarvey her star...her snark was EXCELLENT!!! I am loving it! I think you could make this a nice little series...each focusing on one aspect...their wedding...childbirth...him getting himself in trouble..Reggie having to rescue him...etc....And is Reggie ever getting her promotion? Will Mab ever give up tormenting the sweet little fairy god-jarvey?
and since the mob worked so well in getting this chapter up...here it is again...update quickly...I want to see what is in the epilogue...so many possibilities...
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Am I foreshadowing a little too heavily again? LOL It may take a while, but I promise, promise, PROMISE, fandom has not heard the last of Regina P. Fletcher! And I'm not just talking about one mere epilogue. Here's to Reggie and all those who love her--and may those who don't love her tip a few cold ones back until they see more clearly!
hmm, Draco has to find lucrative investments, Ginny has a product that needs investment, how long after they get together before they decide to keep it all in the family?I can imagine Ginny pulling Narcissa into line as well.Severus is back with Hermione , and Harry is going goofy about Luna. Please don't make it a double wedding, somehow I don't see Luna and Severus agreeing on the decorative scheme
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Whee! I think I went a little heavy on the foreshadowing!Weddings? Oh, there's only one chapter and an epilogue to go. Weddings... that's a whole 'nother story, luv. Thanks for reviewing!
I have been remiss in reviewing, even though I've been reading and really enjoying this sequel. The original was LMAO funny, but this, especially this chapter, is ROFLMAO funny.
Highlights? Minerva's kick and smug grin; He deserved better than this. He was a reformed arsehole, damn it; Ginny lecturing Hermione to sleep; Ron's reflection about Harry's and Hermione's expressions being similiar, although that wasn't so much funny as sweet.
Brilliant chapter, brilliant story, and for god's sake, unloose Reggie and let the air turn properly blue!
Looking forward to the next installment very much!
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Thank you so much! I wondered where all those folks were who were silently pushing up the hit counter. I promise, Reggie will have snark and profanity to unleash in the next chapter! She's nearly barmy from only getting to say one word in this one.And I also promise that a warm and soapy Severus and Hermione will be doing some rolling around... but I don't think it will be due to laughing. Woo hoo!
Did Reggie actually make it through the floo with Severus? That was my question from this chapter, although you had a few good ones in your A/N as well.
now, get the next chapter up for us...I want more Reggie!!
Don't make me get the mob after you!
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
You know, that is the cutest angry mob I've ever seen. Hey! Careful with that torch, buddy! Chapter six is Pending, for goodness' sake.Reggie is, indeed, in the next chapter. Check the scene where Draco and Severus come through the Floo. Snape realizes his 'invisible tormentor' is still clinging to his shoulder when Draco dusts him off. She's silent, for a change (since she can't reveal her presence for anything short of an emergency.) Thanks for reviewing, luv!
i liked the way snape was thinking about proposing that was a good touch. Hermione is a bit on edge. Other than the slight dragging out of things, this looks like it can be a good story. I will move to the next chapter
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Hee hee... I have reached another milestone as an author--I've achieved the ability to 'drag' things out. I promise, it picks up presently! Thanks for reviewing!
All he knew was, whoever still swore by Merlin’s hairy arse plainly hadn’t seen Arthur’s.
*rotflmmfao* oh my god, I am still laughing my ass off about this comment right here. !!!!
Let me guess, there's some Draco/Ginny romance blooming on the horizon? Ooh lala.
Thank you for another awesome chapter and I'm very much relieved that Hermione and Snape are finally back together.
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
*Snicker* Once that comment popped into my head, I was giggling at random intervals for the rest of the week!Ahh, many things are on the horizon. The only question is, will we learn them in the next chapter? Or will it take another entire story? *evil chuckle*You're very welcome for the chapter, and rest assured, I can never keep those two lovebirds apart for long!
Great Chapter. More please. Reggie gets to show her face at weddings and babies, right?
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Thank you! There is a bit more... but golly, I don't think I can squeeze a wedding and babies into one measley chapter and an epilogue! Guess I'll just have to come up with a sequel!
Very cute!!!
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Thanks luv! Reggie sends hugs.
Here I thought it was the most hilarious chapter I've read in the fairy-God jarvey series until that moving yet funny dialogue between Severus and Dumbledore. I don't mean that dialogue was bad but it has a different quality. Reggie must have blessed you in your craddle for you to be so talented.
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Thank you so much! I fretted a great deal about that scene, not wanting to lose the humor, but wanting to respect that it was a serious, emotional moment. And if Reggie blessed me as a baby, that might account for what my Grandma remembers as one of the first real sentences I said: "My mouth is always getting me into trouble!"
Excellent...The idea of Albus as a member of the International Society of Fairy Godmothers and Related Do-Gooding Beings is just too... too.... tooo..what's the word I'm looking for?...rich...that'll work. I love it...
As for you thoughts on Ron, I agree with you...he just needs a bit of time to mature properly, before he begins regressing to being a teenager as all men do at some time.
Loving it!!! Now, get us the next chapter ASAP!!
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
LOL I love your assessment of Ron (and men generally.) Yes, I think if he became TOO mature, it would just spoil his charm. Albus struck me as being excellent Fairy Godfather material. *grin* Madam Mab completely missed out. Thanks for reviewing!
Response from queenp (Reviewer)
I'd better have a 1/2way decent assessment of men--I've got 4 brothers and a husband...husband's fond of saying that he was more mature at 16 than he is now that he's in his 40s...but yeah...they think they are all that, then they discover they don't really want to be like that and start acting like a kid again...
Harry overprotective? Shocking? Not likely. Nearly everyone he has ever loved has been murdered. Calling all of his friends once a day is totally believable to me.
Thanks for another wonderful chapter. Headmaster Dumbledore said, 'Crap!' That cracked me up, too. *lmao*
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
The first time I ever heard one of my teachers swear was the first time I nearly choked to death on a laugh. Somehow, it just seemed the thing to toss in there!I'm glad you liked the chapter, and especially about the Harry feedback--I've been terribly worried about writing--well, about writing anyone except Severus and Reggie. (For some reason, they come very naturally to me.)
I hope that overgrown, overdressed bat of a prat can sit still and listen to Hermione's reasoning behind the miscommunication. Of course, he'll have to show that pain-in-the-arse boy who calls himself "best friend" that he's very oh-so-wrong about Severus' relationship with Hermione. I hope they meet in Hermione's flat in the next chapter ... all together, amidst the forgotton quills and strewn parchment - all the better to poke someone in the eye with.
Okaaay ... I'll go now.
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
LOL Well, I can't abide violence, so eye-poking is out (sorry, Messers Howard, Fien, and Howard!) But before the night is over, everyone will listen to SOME form of reason--more or less!*sigh* Overgrown, overdressed bat... just sounds so... romantic.
WOO-HOO!! Reggie is back! I love the little jarvey...and the fact that she is Hermione's fairy-god mother makes it even better...and that Hermione screwed up royally is great, especially since it was her brain that got her into trouble...the one thing that she usually relies on..*giggle* I can't wait to see what happens next...Severus is in for a bit of trouble with Reggie isn't he?
UPDATE QUICKLY!!!!!!
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Ah, it's trouble all around, this time! Reggie can't stay away for long, she has too much fun with this lot. And I'm glad you have fun with her, too!
Oh, my good god... where do you come up with this stuff? I truly think your imagination is a bottomless well of wonderfully humorous ideas. I am truly looking forward to that next submission in queue!!
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
*blushes* Well, with both my grandads having passed on, someone had to take up the mantle of family storyteller! Plus my dad was of the opinion that no little brain could grow up strong and healthy without frequent helpings of 3 Stooges, Marx Brothers, Abbot and Costello... you get the picture! I think I was the only eight year old who knew who George Wallace was, because my parents had to explain the punchline of the phonograph record with Bill Cosby's '200 MPH' routine on it.
Loved the first...this one is starting great as well. More soon please.
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Your wish is my command, luv--more is in the queue! Keep your brolly handy, it might get messy in here!
Oh, Poor Snape! I bet he has never incurred the wrath of Hermione quite like this. Great start! I can't wait to see what happens next!
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Oh, yes... few men have encountered 'Thermonuclear!Hermione' and lived to tell the tale! Thanks so much for reviewing--there's more in the pipeline, including the wacky antics of Regina Fletcher, Fairy God-Jarvey!
Hooray, a sequel! I loved the first installment so much I think I've read it about five times. I'm definately looking forward to this.
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Whee! I'm glad you had fun with the original. Hopefully you will find the sequel just as good, if not extra crispy! Five more chapters to go, and a wee epilogue. Stay tuned! Thanks a million for reviewing!
I laughed until I cried. Literally. My husband thinks I'm mad as a hatter anyway (did you know the madness was because of the mercury-containing substances hatters used to use?) so hearing me laugh until nearly one in the morning didn't really faze him much. Thanks oodles!
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
And the Mad HP Fanfic Wives' Society recognizes yet another member in good standing of the Puzzled Hubands' Auxiliary!I remember reading about hatters and mercury ages ago--something about the compound they used to treat the felt soaking into their fingers as they shaped the hats, wasn't it? No OSHA looking over anyone's shoulders in those days! (I shudder to think of what glassblowers went through.)I'm very glad you enjoyed this yarn, and in case you fancy a giggle at one in the morning again (or any hour, always open here at TPP!) I'm currently posting the sequel. Thanks for the review!
(Apologies for the delay in reviewing.)
You CANNOT leave it there, miss! I know you say there's still a wedding to come, but that is an evil end to a chapter, let alone a STORY!!! Grr.
“One of the compensations to bedding a know-it-all,” he replied, licking his lips expectantly. “Remind me, pet… what were some of the others?”
LOL! Despite the not-quite-ending, this story is wonderful. Well done, and chocolate to your muse to help finish the next one. Cheers, dear.
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
Dracontia's muse (an attentuated yet fuzzy muppet-like creature with huge, beseeching eyes) is held at wandpoint by what appears to be an overweight barbie doll in a purple and gold Ren Faire costume, with diamond-studded cat's eye glasses and large, gauzy wings, who screeches, "I want a moment of triumph! That Fletcher beast has bedevilled me long enough! You WILL give me that moment!""Yes, Madame Mab," the poor Muse quavers, trembling before the creature whose face is beginning to match her dress."That's more like it," she growls in a self-satisfied manner as she flitters off (at least, as much as a thing with the proportions of a bumblebee can 'flitter.')Thus, the Evil Cliffie came to be...Little does Mab know, dracontia does not take kindly to ANYBODY messing with her muse. Payback's a b!tch, Mab, as you'll find out in the sequel.Musie is recovering nicely with the aid of chocolate. Thank you kindly! The story is begun, and hopefully there will be enough that I am ready to post by the end of summer (I really have to write something for the Sex Ed challenge first.)In the meantime, I think it is safe to say that the lovebirds are more than adequately... compensated.
1) I love ron! can you write a whole story about him? have you?2) the part about phineas nigellus being highly irregular almost made me pee my pants. that was great.
Response from dracontia (Author of Return of the Fairy God-Jarvey)
1) I love Ron, too. Alas, I've never had a plot bunny just for him, but he shows up in any number of stories (including a stint in The Fairy God-Javrvey's Apprentice) and I always try to get him some much-needed respect!2) I think I'd been saving up that remark since I first heard of Phineas Nigellus. :D3) Thanks very much for reviewing!
