I'm a 26-year-old Accounts Payable manager for a construction company. Basically, I'm paid to write checks and intimidate the menfolk around here. I live with my boyfriend and our dog. I wasn't sucked into the HP fandom until just after the release of HBP. So, I'm a newbie compared to most of the fans out there. I've written in several other fandoms (under different pennames) - Anita Blake, Buffy, X-Files, etc.

Poor Severus has a prejudiced man that can't seem to accept his son as a father.
Oh no, how horrible for him that he seems to be losing his mother again. I'm glad he allowed Hermione to comfort him, but I just hope things aren't awkward the next day.I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

I've enjoyed this story so very much. I'm glad we got to see the conflict between Snape and his father, and I do feel very sorry for Snape and Eileen.
Of course, I loved Hermione's tenderness towards Snape, and the ensuing lovemaking.

Yes, only one chapter left. I've promised it before the end of the week. Someone has told me that she's been reading the story, and she's leaving for several weeks of camping this weekend. I couldn't possibly leave her hanging without the last chapter.

-- ANYWAY, I can't tell you how much I've loved the last few chapters. I had always hoped that Severus was trying to save his mama (few things, i think, can motivate good men so desperately) -- and I'm so pleased that he's clearly spoken of Hermione to Eileen. And I LOVE soft/tired Severus, after they both go back to his house after the first meeting. I SOOOO wish she had stayed. I hope that Crooks welcomes Severus -- cats (or half-Kneazles), after all, are very important to their girls. Or witches.I have loved your story, and hope you write more, here and elsewhere. Thank you! I briefly considered putting an ex-lover in the coma, but it would cause much confusion in his relationship with Hermione, and it would divide his heart. I didn't want to drag the story out for several more chapters because it is my first in the HP fandom.

How sad for Snape, but I'm happy Hermione is there for him. And might I say that this is the sexiest sex scene that I've seen in a long time. I'm not sure if it was because they got right down to business without all sorts of pretense or what, but it was great.

Thank you! I thought about making the sex scene slightly more explicit, but eventually decided that it would detract from the interaction between them and the atmosphere of the chapter. Anyway, I'm glad that you liked it!

She comes into play in the last two chapters, but Hermione doesn't actually see her in person.
Yay! Snape has one less burden. I wonder what the next morning at work will be like...hmmm. I just sitting here (fly on the wall) waiting for the next unveiling.

*whimpers* I was so excited about finding out who the coma patient was (although i did kinda guess at the start of this chapter) and NOW.... I have to wait for the next installment of Hermione and Severus growing closer... *grovels at anogete's feet* I love this story so much, I review all the time, as you know... and PLEASE update soon!!! No, Severus does not know that Hermione followed him to the Muggle hospital. He actually doesn't find out within the span of the fic, but I left the future of their relationship on a good note, so I'm sure she'll confess eventually.

Yeah! Great story. I have also been wondering when this very intriguing but polite romance was going to earn its NC=17 rating though. But I see others have inquired and you promise things are going to heat up. (glad I'm not the only lech in the readership, hehe).THough, to be just a bit critical, I'm not sure any woman could be pressed up against a towel-clad, damp Severus, and then just...leave.

Hermione: will power of STEEL! I think she's still a bit uncomfortable around him which is completely understand as he still is Snape, and Snape is pretty intimidating even if she isn't afraid of him anymore. Their next encouter like this in the next chapter does not involve Hermione walking away though. She'll stick around and even invite him to bed. I promise lemons to come in the last two chapters.
