A beautiful story. I'm not usually one for a story where Severus (or Hermione) die, but this was done very well. I love the way you brought out Severus' thoughts and feelings. Thank you for the final letter, and for giving Hermione the permission to move on without guilt. I suppose that is what true love really is, as far as these two are concerned. ~The Mistress

You have a wonderful style of writing. I felt the passion between Hermione and Severus, and you have built up the tension leading up to the battle beautifully. The only thing I'm not sure of yet -- but I'm sure you will address this in future chapters -- is why Harry is with Snape and why he doesn't seem to have any animosity toward him. I will definitely be watching for future chapters. I am caught up in the whirlwind you have created in just one chapter.

Honestly, it is always nice to have a chapter where you have a bit of side story. Actually, this "side" story is really essential to the whole plot, so it was necessary. And thoroughly attention-grabbing as well.

Ah, you know, I believe you probably have. Many ardent SS/HG shippers just hate it when Snape dies. They just don't handle it well. But I'm of the belief that if all stories were written where Snape the Brave lives, gets pardonned and he and Hermione live happily ever after, this ship would get quite boring. Hang in there!
i hoped that it would be voldemorte that was killed and murdered when i saw warnings on it i am vera sad about snape dying

I know. I actually wept for many days writing this scene. I love writing a deeply regretful and yet deeply empassioned Snape, and to kill him off that way was truly difficult for me. The story does have a point though, and I've just submitted the next chapter to the powers that be! Thanks for your review. HH
