Ending up as one of the more prominent portraits at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a dull thing indeed, for a former double-spy. But there are ways to amuse oneself when boredom gets the better of you.

Reviews for Framing Hermione
Regardless of Snape's interference, I think Neville made the right decision. Your family and doing what you love--that's a once-in-a-lifetime gift.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
I think Neville was happy to get the facts pointed out to him so he could make an informed choice. Severus motives though ... well ... he is still Severus Snape. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Bless Neville. He realle has grown out of his childhood awkwardness. I like that. And dear, harsh Snape. If the Sorting Hat was able to see his loyalty, I'm certain it would have placed him in Hufflepuff. Or at least threatened him with it :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
I always did like Neville. He always seemed so human in the books and I especially enjoyed his character development in them. I would just love threatening Severus with Hufflepuff House! I might need to use your idea in a fanfic sometime, with your permisson, of course. Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Response from Chaoticclara (Reviewer)
Permission granted :) I'd love to read his reaction to that threat. Though I suppose I should threat carefully from now on...

Somebody is starting to sound a tiny bit smitten.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Just a very, very small bit smitten ... ;)

I agree with Ron. I was considered quite smart but chess just never really stuck.A rather sad chapter but shows growth in their friendship.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Different kinds of smart ... I find that so interesting. And it is a sad chapter but I think they needed to work through some of their history. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Their friendship is consolidating nicely. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Slowly but surely. And Severus do need a friend so much!

Their conversations have become more meaningful. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Yes, that was what I tried to convey, how they slowly builds a friendship. Thank you for noticing.

She is growing on him isn't she, I'm sure he will enjoy her reading voice.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
She is. And he will. Only, what is he going to do about it ... he is in a painting and she is ... well, alive.

What? Snape actually being pleasant? Let me check the weather. LOL Took him long enough, but nice to see him developing a friendship.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
he needs a friend, doesn't he? And I think that library gift got him. Who wouldn't be pleasant after that? I know I would. ;)

I still want a library for Christmas! *grin* It sounds like she's on the outs with the Weasleys. I've never cared for The Scarlet Pimpernel or The Three Musketeers, having had to read the books in junior high English class, but I love The Count of Monte Cristo, in all its unabridged glory. ^_^
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Me to. Who in their right mind wouldn't? Not so much outs with the Weasley's as realising that they are not the best option at this point. I loved all of those books. And especially the Scarlet pimpernell. I haven't read it for years though so I don't know what I would think about it now. However The Count of Mounte Christo is quite outstanding, and I got the idea that one Severus Snape must like the theme of that book.

His straight talking is much better than all the other's weeping and wailing. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
The weeping and wailing got it's place too, but in the end, horrible as it is, someone needs to get on with things. And Severus knows that better than most (even if he might have benefitted more by doing some traditional mourning). Thank you so much for reading and revewing. I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the story.

"There are a lot of things I never had to do. yet I did them anyway"
Never were truer words spoken. Severus' brand of blunt honesty is just what Hermione needs.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Yes. True words indeed. Sometimes an outside perspective, someone not involved in the same sorrow, the same crisis, you'r involved in, helps more than anything because the advice you get are practical. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

I'm sure Hermione is in complete shock over how considerate Severus is being towards her. It was good of him to explain to her how he was in the same situation as her kids, and what worked for him. Looking forward to the next.

Thank you for the kind review. The next two chapters are in queue, and I'm glad to have you along. I hope you'll enjoy how this story turns out in the end.

thats our snape getting the job done sigh thanks for the chapter.

Gee, he's actually being decent and making good points. I'm sure if Hermione wasn't buried in grief she would be shocked senseless. Turns out it wasn't a bad idea to have him talk to her.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Yes. He understands sorrow, mourning and pain, our Severus, sad as it is. And to my mind he saw his own greif over Lily mirrored in Hermione's greif over losing Ron. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Oh, Pyttan... This story has taken an important turn; I hope lots of readers have stuck with you to see it. Grief can be raw and is always very personal. Well-meaning people regularly say the last thing they should. You have beautifully painted that portrait. All of a sudden, Severus and Hermione have a very powerful connection that will change *everything*. Well done.hm88
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Thank you so much. Greif is difficult and as all the people close to you usually are greiving for the same reasons you are, it's ... difficult, I suppose, to find someone where you can vent your own greif and, in some cases, anger. I'm glad you like this chapter.

Oh no, poor Ron, this is one of the few storys in which I liked him. Maybe Severus is the one to comfort Hermione, he won' give her soft words tears, he may well be able to put enough fire in her belly for her to carry on.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
I like Ron , and it hurt writing this story, and I'm very happy you came to like him here. And maybe ... next chapters are in queue and I hope you're enjoying this enough to keep reading. Thank you!

He has a vested interest in her, however perverse. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
He has, hasn't he? I bit of an obsessive personality I would say ... Thank you for reading and reviewing. I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the story too.

Ah, poor Hermione. To be saddled with a condoling Snape is bad enough. For him to take her classes as well? *shudder* ^_^BTW - just a small nitpick? September only has 30 days, not 31. Or was that deliberate? ^_^
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Yes. He hasn't distinguished himself as a compasionate guy, and even less as a good teacher, has he. And no, not deliberate. Typing mistake... Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Poor Hermione. Nice to Severus finally acting decent, though.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Yes. Very sad. I like Ron so this really hurt to write. And yes, not that he has suddenly turned nice, but at least he starts to act human at this point. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Now that was a brilliant, unexpected turn of events. And Severus actually *offering* to teach exactly the way Hermione does after all those years of heckling? Probably the best apology he could have offered. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out--hm88
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Thank you so much. He never was much of an apologoizer and this felt fitting. Glad you noticed that bit. I hope you'll loke the next chapter too. Thank you for reading. I'm happy to have you along.

How sad, but I guess it had to happen. Sounds like this might be a turning point for Severus' attitude. Glad he got to say his bit to Dumbledore. I always thought he was neglected that in the series.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Yes, I always did think that Severus never got to say his piece. No real closure for him. I'm glad you liked that bit. Thank you for reading and reviewing.
