Ending up as one of the more prominent portraits at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a dull thing indeed, for a former double-spy. But there are ways to amuse oneself when boredom gets the better of you.

And the lovely banner above was made by Talesofsnape, a friend of mine.
Reviews for Framing Hermione
Oh, he's diving well into the gutter to tell such tales on a professor! He may be having a lovely time at the moment, but I wonder what will happen if/when Hermione gains her own frame? Surely he doesn't expect to escape scot-free? I predict battles of epic proportion unless some serious sucking up ensues. ;)Thank you for entertaining us!hm88

He is horrible, isn't he? And absolutly truthful too, the git. Well, suffice to say, Hermione is not a happy Professor and well ... Thank you for reading and reviewing! I hope you'll stock with this tale to the end.

Wilful, Minerva? Oh yes, how dare he have a will of his own? Doesn't he know he's a slave? Children are wilful. This is not a child; this is Severus Snape, who spent almost twenty years as spy between two utterly ruthless megalomaniacs, while you tended to fall to pieces whenever your particular megalomaniac wasn't around to prop you up. I sincerely hope Severus butchers those two pompous, self-righteous Gryffindor women. They should have left him well enough alone. They deserve everything he dishes out. I will be seriously disappointed if Minerva and Hermione manage to get the better of Severus for even as much as a moment.
Oh my. Sounds like someone is begging to be draped a la Mrs. Black of Grimmauld place... I highly doubt that a "talking to" from Minerva is going to be effective in the least.Visions of Snape and Phineas as "Statler and Waldorf" (of Muppets fame).Looking forward to reading more soon!hm88

Have they fogotten the Hogwarts motto? they are planing to not only tickle a sleeping Dragon, they are going to poke it with a stick.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
*Giggles* They always pokes dragons with a stick. They never did have any sense of selfpreservation. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Severus you sly fox... Getting Hermione to become headmistress. Even if you tried to stop things at the last moment.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Sly indeed. But not a bored portrait anymore ... Thank you for reading and reviewing.
I would appreciate another story set in this universe, but please give it a happy ending! I'm a happy ending junkie. I understand the point in your earlier authori's note about how this story could have just gone on and on without really ending. There are many stories that start out with a unique concept like this and then sort of ramble all over the farmyard until you don't even get excited about seeing an update anymore. So, I think you chose wisely and hope you'll be inspired to write more soon! Thanks for your work!
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
And I'm just so terrible when I try to write an outright happy ending. I might try. I can't garantee anything though. I'm so glad, even though the ending was not quite happy, that you can see why I made the choice to end it here. And I am inspired to write more. Reviews like yours and several others that has been kind enough to comment on this story makes the writing worth while. Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Let me start by saying, I really enjoyed this story. I like an open ending, it gives the imagination a chance to work, but leaving Hermione asleep feel a little unfinished. I look forward to a stand alone piece in the future.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Thank you so much. I'm so glad you enjoyed the ending. I do see your point as far as Hermione goes, however, I do have a bit of an explanation for that choice:The prompter of the story asked for a fic that moved within the bounds of cannon (the books) and explored portriathood with Hg/SS as the gruding and bickering pairing who later ended up as friends. Oh, and I wasn't allowed to bring back Snape to the land of the living (which reminds me that I need that add the prompt to the story). I reached the point where I felt I had done my best to fill the prompters whises but when I tried to wake Hermione up it didn't work well at all, and I felt it detracted from the story rather than adding to it so I decided that this was indeed the end.Thank you for reading and reviewing. It's been so nice to have you along, and getting reviews and feedback like yours make me want to continue writing.
I liked the ending. We can imagine the rest. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
I'm so glad tou liked it. Open ends are a bit difficult to write but I couldn't see it end any other way. Thank you for being with my story to the end. Your kind reviews means a lot to me.
I'm actually sad to see the story end here. I would love to know how things are between them after she wakes up. Perhaps an epilogue, or a companion piece. I would also like to know how she handles being a portrait; what about her kids? Don't get me wrong, I loves the story, but it seems that you ended it with more questions.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Hi again. So, now you know ... most of it anyway. In any case: I like to read stories with open endings, and I suppose that's why I tend to write most of my stories that way. As far as Hermione and Ron's children goes I felt really bad for them while writing this story. The same goes for the other characters that, you know, died, in this story. I do leave the readers with a lot of questions, I realise that. The reason is that this story mainly deals with portraitship and how Severus copes and to a certain extent changes as a portrait. This story also had the potential (or rather it risked) plottering on endlessly without really coming to an end. When everything was said and done, this was where it, to my mind, were supposed to end. I'm very happyand flattered that you liked it enough to want it to continue for a while longer. I don't think an epilogue will ever happen. A stand alone companion piece might.Thank you so much for following my story and thank you for your generous and kind reviews.
I'm really enjoying this delicious little story. Never would have guessed Severus' aim was to eventually have her as a portrait partner. Sly one, him. Well done!
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying this story.
HELL'S BELL'S, AND BUCKETS OF BLOOD, this is what happens when you free unwilling house elves, they go barking mad! Hermione's heart is in the right place, but this time that brain of hers is wrong. Rather than forcing clothes on them, give them a choice. I hope Severus saves her, if he doesn't she will never speak to him again, for taking her away from her children.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Ah. But I don't quite agree with you on this one ... You'll see ... eventually. Thank you for reading, reviewing and staying with me for so long.
A nice twist that I didn't see coming. Very good. I'm looking forward to more... Will Severus save her, or will she become a portrait much sooner than he expected? Don't answer that; I want to wait and see!
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Thank you! I'm so glad you are enjoying this little tale.
Hermione has always been very short sighted about house elves, they have a completely different culture to humans. While I agree that it is a crime that they are mistreated, they pine themselves to death if they lose there family, just look at poor little Winky, if she had not been taken in at Hogwarts she would have died.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Oh, one of the tough discussions rarely discussed in the fandom. I have a lot to say on this subject so it can't be adressed in a good way in this forum I think. Thank you for reading and reviewing and for being willing to discuss what is a difficult issue.
Oh, I have the feeling she'll change her mind, although probably first after the House Elves have rioted. I'm looking forward to what Severus will say on the matter :)And I do hope Draco and Hermione will end up on friendlier terms in the end.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
Ah. Well... can't really say anything about that without giving too much away, so I'll give you a cheery wave and a thank you for reviewing ;)
She'd better talk to Severus before she acts. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
No, she won't. Decition made and all of that. Thank you for reading and reviewing. Happy that you are still with my my story.
*gasps for air* Chapters TOO short! *gasps for air* Make them longer, PLEASE! ^_^
Response from Pyttan (Author of Framing Hermione)
I'm sorry ... the thing is it was originaly published in one go, so it was possible for me to make these snap-shot chapters, without annoying the reader since he/she had access to the whole story at once nd now it is what it is. I'm glad you find them so readable you want them longer though. Thank you!

The question now is... does Draco know what he's talking about or has Hermione just scored one for House Elf rights?I'll be interested to see where you go with this. Thanks for posting--hm88

I hope Hermione has done more research than just talking to Kreacher, who, like many of the Blacks, has serious mental and emotional problems.
Good conversation. Looks like Hermione has two strong supporters.
