Advocate Hermione Granger receives a visit from her friend Astoria Malfoy. Draco has been arrested on very serious charges and is in need of a good advocate to defend his case. Hermione agrees to speak to Draco as a favor to Astoria. Draco tries to convince Hermione that the case is worthy of Hermione's attention.

It also sounds like Lyra wants a relationship with Severus. And they all seemed to be 'protecting' each other. I wonder if the house elves helping would play into the defense..

It sounds like Lyra would like a relationship with Severus. Hermione is definitely jealous of this. I'm looking forward to seeing how Hermione's relationship develops with Severus. I'm also looking forward to seeing how Hermione handles the prosecutor. I'm sure Edgecrombe won't soon forget what Hermione did to her after betraying DA.

Severus has come through the war in fairly good order, he has his health and a career,his personal life is a bit lackluster, but time will tell on that. Hermione is trying to get them released to house arrest, a good start to any defence, I think that she is also showing signs of jealousy.

Yes, Severus is doing quite well. He's had 12 years to recover from the war. Hermione has no idea what she's thinking/feeling right now towards Severus. She's always been more partial to him than most, so she might just being trying to protect him, or at least that's what she's telling herself.

The Malfoys had to send their daughter away, Voldermort would have had her killed, or worse given her to Bella *shudder*.

Given her beauty and good lineage, she would probably have been a trophy wife for a Death Eater that pleased Voldemort. But I shudder to think what would have happened to her when Lucius displeased Voldemort. Sending her away was by far the best decision they could have made for her at that time.

Legitimate sister, eh? I'll believe that. *grin* Love it that they used magic to prevent their medicines from being stolen and copied by other Muggle companies. Wonder if I've heard of any of these medications. ^_^

Okaaaay, I will admit to being a little intrigued. *grin* "MISS Malfoy"? A squib scientist? Might she possibly be a by-blow of Lucius'? Or some other relative? Am awaiting the next chapter for answers. ^_^
