The war may have ended, but for some of its heroes there doesn't seem to be a happily ever after.

Reviews for Angels With Broken Wings
I like how Hermione is so take charge, but it also kind of worries me that Severus is being sooo complacent.
Totally happy to see a new update and Severus fear of needles makes him even more attractive, strange as it must sound:-))
Please let her find something for his pain quickly. I like your characterisation of Hermione and do hope that Severus gets his snark back along with better health.
I've never been attacked by Nagini and I'm afraid of needles. I don't think less of him for it.
Love the reasoning. *grin* And Muggle contraptions are HARD to put together. That's why I pay the store to do it. ^_^
Hermione is hardly showing much gratitude for a place to stay. An abnormal response for one of her character, (it seems to me,) but perhaps indicative of her own mental problems. Perhaps they can help one another.
He'd have given her detention for her foul language. No doubt. I hope he doesn't hex her over the blood tests.
Oh, Brother! There are too many variables that could account for Severus' condition; and if someone is poisoning him, Hermione had better get to the bottom of things and fast. Excellent story, I'm enjoying the mystery!!! :)
Yay! Hermione is cookin with gas now!
Severus is definitely going to be glad he opened his home to her if she can figure out what's going wrong and get him some help. Excellent chapter! :)
Shame on Hermione jumping to conclusions! He may be as knackered as her looks. She should continue her investigation and see what turns up or *gasp* annoy him with a few questions. Excellent chapter! :)
A knight in not-so-shining armor is a knight nonetheless. It's good that they will be able to help each other. Excellent chapter! :)
Please tell me that you're planning on killing Ron slowly and terribly by the end of your story. If you need a hand, I'll gladly oblige. Excellent beginning! :D
Great update
Hermione is as thorough as always!
Hermione's in her element -- RESEARCH! *grin* I know how Severus feels, too. When the weather's damp and dingy, my Reynauds won't let me do much either. ^_^
Snape admitting freely that he's hurting like hell and that he has dropped his wand---Merlin, that's scary!
Hermione came just in time; thankfully with her witts and skills intact, whatever else is damaged.
You go, Hermione!
ah, finally she realised that the Severus she is living with now is a hurting Severus that needs help, not a villain who tries to exploit her (she has obviously lived to long with Ron). Besides, give the girl some aim to research and you have a happy girl:-))
I'm glad she finally realized that he's truly unwell and not just treating her like a house elf. I hope she can cure, or at least help him. I hate to see Severus like this. :(

I hate seeing Severus like this too. But at the same time I really like writing injured Severus, because he's so in control and closed off most of the time, he's only going to show his vulnerabilities/human side when there's something badly wrong.

Ugh. What a mess. I hope there's a bright side to everything...
uh oh, that doesn't bode well for eithr one of them.
I can easily imagine Ron turning out this way, perhaps because I've seen firsthand how ugly things can become when someone has a short fuse and a large sense of entitlement.
Hermione doesn't sound like she's anywhere near sure what she wants out of life just yet. Perfectly understandable in someone so young. Hermione hasn't really had much of a chance to explore her dreams as she's had to spend so much of her life in the wizarding world just trying to keep herself and her friends alive.
As far as I'm concerned, for Ron to try to "tame" her and fit her into a Molly-shaped mold by forcing motherhood on her is simply unconscionable.
a very interesting first chapter, I really liked it and I look forward for more. The Hermione/Ron pairing have never made sense to me, nor have I found it in any way interesting, so some Ron bashing really makes my day. I admit to love Hermione, brainy girls with courrage, unfailing loyalty to her friends and loved ones are few and far between in any novells. (Though I will admit that I find Hermione just as wrong for Ron as I find Ron wrong for Hermione)
Oooooh! I really don't like this Ron, but I'm really interested in the story so far.

I don't think he's a bad person, but we've seen in the books that he's the quickest to lose his temper. And Hermione isn't the type to back down, so I can see her pushing him past the limits of his temper just by being more stubborn and independant than he's really prepared to deal with. I honestly would categorize it more as a physical fight than as abuse. I mean, it is abuse, but I imagine that although she doesn't throw the first punch Hermione can and does give as well as she gets so there isn't really a dominant partner in the altercations.

Poor Hermione! what a total git Ronald Weasley is turning out to be. I will be looking forward to more chapters.
