I adore the world of HP.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to stir my cauldron.
Reviews for A Rose for Hermione
Sorry for your loss. Sad but compelling story.
Very intriguing twist on the events. There is a very fine line between love and obsession. Sorry Hermione crossed it, and sorry Ron never grew a pair. Sad story. As for making person wonder, it also happens to make *me* wonder as it possibly weeks earlier in which Percy had found them, thereby causing the stench of death in the cave, waiting just long enough to know there would be no hope to save either of them? Or is that just my twisted imagination throwing in a few extra evil barbs on Percy's part?
Wow. That was very different, but it's a story that stays with you after reading it. What a sad, sad life.

You are so right on a "Rose for Emily." I'd say I'm sorry for your lose, but it always comes out so shitty. I can say that too- I "lost" two parents 23 days apart to separate circumstances. On that note, how can you lose someone? Isn't something that is lost likely to be found again? sorry, time for sleep.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
Sorry about your parents. I can't imagine how how that must have been. :( ~hugs~
Before I read your last note I totally was like OMG this is like a rose for emily only harry potter style, it's creepy and sad. but good :)

lol Thanks for reading! :)
This is the second time I've read this and I found it just as chilling as the first time.I think it was incredibly well done. Oddly enough, I can imagine Hermione doing something like this...She just always thinks she so right! LOL
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
Thank you so much for reading and commenting. She does always think she's right. LOL And isn't always. Snerk. :)
Okay, that was dark and creepy and... rather romantic. Morbid romance. Gotta love it. I know I did! *smiles* This is really good, something unexpected.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
Thanks for reading! Very morbidly romantic indeed. That's what I was aiming for. :)
Very dark, but very, very good, and astoundingly original!

Thanks for reading :)
Gosh, to go from a humor piece to one of dark angst--all I can say is wow! Very beautifully written and very original. It's an interesting question whether Hermione would go that far: I say yes, for one that she loves. Anyway, it's hauntingly beautiful. I hope you are at peace with what happened to your friend.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
I jump around in the genres I write all the time. Thanks for reading. I am definitely at peace with my friend's demise. He's just had a road named after him not long ago. :)
Wow. Very impressive. Probably the strangest take on the Hermione/Severus romance I've ever read (lol), but extremely well written and depicted. Everyone is frighteningly in character (read: Percy). Very good.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
Very strange indeed. LOL I tried to make Percy sound like himself. Thanks!
I forgot to tick the notify box!

No problem!
Wow! I mean it wow!I don't see it happening like that but whoh, was that dark, and its been six years almost that my grampy died so I'm dwelling on death a bit as well, that is so sad about your friend.Thumbs up for a dark but well written Edgar Allan Poe type story!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
It's sad how such strong, painful emotions stick with us while the equally strong, happy ones slide away, huh? Thanks for reading. :)
Sad, but very well written, I rather like it, even though it kind of ends a bit sad.

Thank you for reading. I'm happy you liked it.
"Friends don't let friends live with dementors" That line made me laugh out loud. I guess coming from Percy, it seemed trite. Perhaps, you intended that reaction? Roses have always reminded me of death. Big fan of the Faulkner story. Sorry about your friend. Dara
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
I'd hoped people would chuckle at the irony of his words. I can just see Ron's gaping mouth and incredulous expression as Percy says that with all serious. Hahaha! What an idiot! Teehee! I am glad to see so many people that are familiar with the story! Cool. Thank you.
Ahhh I thought it seemed similar to Faulkner's "A Rose for Emily". As soon as I read the indentation and strand of Hermione's hair, I knew it had to be influenced by Willian Faulkner. It's such a fantastic short story. Kudos for the writing and the great taste in fiction!
That was... unsettling. In a good way. Thought provoking. Dark. I liked it. Cool. Cheers.

I have read this before and it always strikes a cord with me,could I love someone to obsession or would I walk way if it became that ill...I have bben close but managed to leave. Poor HG?SS and poor Harry!! The guilt would consume him ( Harry has that kind of personality (saviour comlpex) ).
I just read that in Literature about 4 weeks ago, and your story definitely does justice to it. At least Severus wasn't dead, just souless. Great story.

Faulkner!!! One of my favorites <3. This is sad but kind of beautiful, thanks for writing it. I find that writing is often the only way to deal with hard things.

Thanks! :) I'm glad you liked it.
very sad, but beautifully written. i remember reading 'A Rose for Emily' in high school. this was an interesting take on the story.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
Thank you very much for reading. :)
Nice to read something a bit different. Life isn't always pretty and it's refreshing to read something that does'nt follow the typical (although I love it) angst/romance/happy ending scenario. Engrossingly told.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
Thanks for reading. I've never written one in this pairing with such a "sad" ending. Cheers.
Beautifully written, quite imaginative and original, and overwhelmingly tragic. The love/obsession is quite believable, after all, wouldn't we research/work one more day to save our children/spouse. Which day would you pick to end it when that could be the day you discovered a solution? So sorry to hear of your personal tragedy; I hope writing helps.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
Very tragic. I know that I would go through it all for one whom I love. Thanks for reading and giving me the feedback. It does help. :)
Superb. Excellent. I really enjoyed this piece. What more can I say? Original, ground-breaking and very thought provoking.

lol... My dear Warty, one can never tell if you are being serious or not, but thanks for reading, doll.
Response from wartcap (Reviewer)
Yeah, I get that a lot. Rest assured, I loved this story. :-)

cuddles her favorite little warty
Very good writing, girl! I can see the difference in your writing here than in other places, such as Muggle girl and our RP. This is obviously darker, but it is still very well written and does provoke a good bit of thought over Hermione's character as she is presented.Good job, I like it. I hope that this piece and anything else you're doing is helping you grieve, and maybe heal.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of A Rose for Hermione)
LOL... Mugglegirl's story was in no way supposed to be a "real" story. LOL Hope ya don't hold that and rpg land against my writing. Snicker! Thanks for reading. I'm happy you liked this. :)(Still waiting for your tale you know...)
i've read the story before, "a rose for emily".. it was kind of disturbing and glad your story was a bit lighter.:) cheers!
