Iridescent Snow is NOT abandoned, but it's on a rather long hiatus! Unfortunately, I've been stolen away from the fandom by RL in the form of medical school!
Reviews for Emissary
You're creating a great atmosphere by allowing us to see Hogwarts and Snape though Hermione's father's eyes. I love the weather report in the leaves on the lawn (from Chpt. 2) and the fact that her textbooks appear to be blank to Muggle eyes. I also like your version of Snape - abrupt and sharp, but with a background of exhaustion and care for his students.
very nice - I'm really intrested to see where you'll take this story
I really like the fact that Hermione's father seems to be the same type of suspicous grouch as Snape. That explains a lot ...
Lovely start. I love original stories, and adore this POV. Usually I am a bit put off by a "first-person-POV" but not in this case.
Still loving it! Great writing!
Such a great start! I love David's voice. You've contrived to make him seem so very real. What an auspicious start to the birth of our favorite know-it-all. I'm eager to read more!!
Nicely written, original, and touching!
I'm looking forward to more. :D
What a FANTASTIC start!! I look forward to more!
This is a wonderful beginning. I find myself quite involved in the backstory about Hermione's parents (having been an elderly mother myself - first and only girl child at age 43). Now I'm intrigued to see how Snape will eventually fit into the new world you've created for us.
Great idea to make a story from Hermione's father point of view! I love it. Thank you!
This is fantastic! Thank you for bringing a smile to my face... Very well done!
I held off on leaving chapter reviews because I was torn about reading something from a Muggle point of view. However, this story caught me up in it's talons and wouldn't let go. Good job. It's been added to my keeper list. ^_^
This tale is beyond words. I rarely see one told from somebody else's perspective with the warm effect that it is you actually who is telling (and feeling) the story. Love it.
This is such a gorgious background for Hermione, i really love it.
