He must have been so relieved to find that the woman who consented to bond with him was, in fact, Hermione.  And what a wonderful thing she is doing for him.  Of course it isn't exactly a huge sacrifice on her part if you ask me ;)Well, if we are to be married, I would like us to be happily so.’They don't have much choice but to be together, for his sake, but it is nice to know that it isn't going to be a marriage of convenience, but that they really could make this work.It was cruel of her really, because she had already made up her mind to go though with it, compatibility questions or no.Ha!  Cruel, indeed.  But since they are just jumping head first into a relationship, it will be helpful to have some of the getting to know you stuff out of the way.  If they ran out of things to talk about, he could just kiss her to fill the time.What more do I need to convince me of a happy ending than this?  That certainly doesn't sound like a bad was to spend your free time.Looking forward to more!

Another fine story. Thank you. I'm liking the ambiguity in Snape; is he driven purely by his instincts or does he have some conscious input into his chase of Hermione.

Snape is certainly lucky that Hermione is not faint-hearted.  She is taking this whole Strigoi thing quite well.  Of course now that she received her letter, that may change her tune a bit.  We'll see.  I'm getting more and more anxious to see how this all plays out.

I hope it's good news she received. At least for the progression of their relationship.

Oh goodness, this is going to be tough on everyone involved, I see.  I'm glad that Dumbledore told Severus what exactly he should expect and that he was nice about it.  It also bodes well that Severus does not want to be forceful with her.  But will he have a choice when it comes down to it?  I think some more research may be needed.  I'm undecided whether at the moment it is best that Hermione is informed, or if they should let things play out a bit.  On the other hand, it doesn't really matter what I think.  I'll just shut up and sit back and wait for the next chapter.  Severus is going to try to control his impulses, and I am going to try to be patient, and we'll see who wins this competition *goes ahead and hands Severus the trophy*

Oh dear!  This looks like it could get real sticky, real soon.  I think Dumbledore needs to tell Hermione what is going on.  She is mature enough to handle what ever he throws her way.  Or he could at least tell me exactly what is going on, LOL!  I look very forward to delving further into this most intriguing story.
