Reviews for Reason for Living
Don't they have defamtion laws in wizarding England? Rita needs to be slapped with a big law suit and back to Azkaban with her!How can people (the public) NOT take Hermione's side and support her when Ron is the one having the affair? Thank goodnes she has the other Weesley's suppport!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Well, the average wizarding public has quite the track record of being too quick to believe what they read. I'm not sure if Ron, Lav, and Rita have really considered the various possible consequences of their actions, as well as being ignorant of many facts in the case. One of the pitfalls of seeking revenge, I guess. And yes, the other Weasleys have been incredibly supportive and will continue to be so. Thanks for taking a moment to review, it's greatly appreciated!
I read all four chapters in one go. The plot is really interesting and I can't wait for the next update. Ron really is dreadful. And Lavender, Jesus, he really has bad taste.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thank you, KittyP! And I agree, Ron's behavior is completely horrid, but there really is more to what's going on with him (and Lavender) than meets the eye. Thanks so much for taking a moment to review, it's greatly appreciated. :)
well worth the wait, but oh How could he!!!!
please please update soon
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Well, it's safe to say that Ron's really not thinking at the moment. At least not with the appropriate part of his anatomy.I'm working on the next update right now, should be ready for the beta by sometime this weekend. :)
OH my gosh, please update soon!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
The next chapter should be ready for the queue by morning. :)
fantastic story, loving it.
glad molly was supportive
still think lavender poisoned her
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thanks!Ron really crossed a line with Molly.Hm. Well... Hm. You're kinda on the right track. Sort of. But not quite.Keep reading! :)
Wow - just wow...Unbelievable behavior from Ron. She nearly DIED a few hours earlier and all he can do is be El Mondo Prick--even to his parents?!! I suppose if Ginny turns out to have the same problem, miscarriage due to something in her blood, then Ron will see what an ass he was. (Too late though--Hermione by all rights should hate him about now).Knowing that there are other women having the same problem as Hermione makes me suspect that Voldemort or the DEs have something to do with this.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Ron's behavior is definitely way out of line. He was completely horrid to both to his wife and his parents. There's more to Ron's behavior than meets the eye, and we will learn more about that in the next chapter. As for your last comment... let me just say you're very perceptive. :)*Clamps mouth firmly shut*
You'd think that Ron would know better then to get Molly all worked up about such a sensitive maternal topic. Good for her for putting what is right above siding with her son. I was afraid for a moment that you were going to make Arthur and Molly on Ron's side. I am very glad that Hermione and Luna have each other to lean on. What are you doing still reading this?! Go work on the next chapter, now!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Ron's behavior definitely took both of his parents by surprise. Hermione has been turning to Molly for the comfort her husband was not providing, but this is the first time she's seen for herself exacly how irrational he has become. Luna will continue to be there for Hermione... she's going to be a big part of this story as well.LOL! I'm working on the next chapter as we speak, it should be ready for the queue in a day or two. Thanks for continuing to read and review, it really means a lot!
Wow, Ron is just awful in this. Well written. I'm interested in what happens next. I am quite fond of Luna. She's wonderfully different. I'm glad she's Hermione's friend.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Ron's behavior is definitely beyond the pale. We will learn more about what's going on with him as the story unfolds.I adore Luna myself, and we will be seeing much more of her. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
I'm so glad that Molly and Arthur have kept their good sense, and utterly amazed that Ron won't even listen to them. The Weasleys have lost a lot over the years, and this has to be a dreadful blow for them. Now something's wrong with Ginny, too...I'm looking forward to discoverving what, and glad that Hermione has found a safe haven with Luna for the moment. They'll be good for each other, I think.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I think Arthur and Molly, as parents themselves, have a good grasp of exactly what Hermione is going through, and are shocked and disappointed by their son's cruelty towards his wife. But there is more to Ron's behavior than meets the eye, and we will get a clear picture of what's going on with him as the story unfolds. We will learn what's happening with Ginny in the next chapter. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
Sow the wind; reap the whirlwind. I think Ron needs to learn the law of sowing and reaping: you reap what you sow, later than you sow, more than you sow. In this case he has sown suffering and anguish (in a substantial amount among many people). What will he reap? Devastation.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Ron will definitely end up paying a high price... count on it. But there's also more to what's going on with him than meets the eye and we will learn exactly what as this story continues to unfold. Thanks for taking a moment to review, it's greatly appreciated. :)
Thank you so much for the update. I most sincerely hope that all the magical worlds worst will happen to Ron. While waiting for justice served, I hope he is comfortable with Lavender because that would be the only place he will in any remote way be welcome. That goes for our dear Lav-lav too, she shouldn't expect any decent people to ever want to serve her tea at their table. What utter idiots (and how I love the bashing of said idiots:-))I hope everything will be fine with Ginny, decent people like Arthur and Molly don't deserve more grief than being the parents to the worlds biggest prat. I am also trilled by your Luna, next to Hermione she is my favourite girl. I look forward to read more.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Luna is a huge favorite with me as well, and we will definitely be seeing more of her.As for Ron and Lavender, there's more to their story than meets the eye, but both are and will be rapidly wearing out their welcome in the wizarding community.Much more's on the way... I just finished the outline for this story last night, and barring any surprises, this story should have a total of 20 chapters plus an epilogue. If I stay on schedule, the next chapter should be ready for the queue in a day or two. Thanks for reading and reviewing, it's much appreciated! :)
Misscarriages are never easy and alot of times couples place the blame on them selves or each other. I this case Ron is a right wanker and deserves everything he gets. This is a good story and I have postmarked it.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Very well put, And Ron's behavior is definitely way beyond the pale. And thanks! I'm so pleased to hear you're enjoying this story. :)
Well, I'm glad you made Arthur and Molly decent. Hope Ron really enjoys Lav-Lav because it doesn't appear that he'll be in anyone else's good graces. That was very nice.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I rather thought that Molly, as a mother herself, might be more inclined to sympathize with Hermione's pain in this situation, rather than automatically taking Ron's side. And after Ron's latest performance, they could clearly see his behavior is irrational. Thanks!
Wow, that was scary.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Ron is definitely scary when he's this out of control. Hermione is much safer away from him right now. At least until she gets her bearings. Then it's Ron who had better run. Thanks for taking a moment to read and review. :)
This is sad. I am going to try and continue reading it, but it's something that is very dear to my heart since I have a blood condition which, if I get pregnant, will cause me to miscarry. I wanted to let you know that I did read it, however. It's very well written. I hope you do not hold it against me if I find I can't go on.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I am so sorry to hear about your condition, that's so awful! *Hugs* And of course I won't hold it against you if you find this story too difficult to read. There are things that I, personally, would find very hard to read due to certain RL experiences of my own, so I quite understand.I do appreciate the effort and the compliment as well. Thank you. :)
Very promising beginning. I'm looking forward to more. I never really thought Ron and Hermione were suited for each other anyways. I know sometimes opposites attract, but I always had a hard time picturing her happy with Ron. Can't wait to see how things develop.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I never could see Ron and Hermione lasting as a couple either, and while opposites do sometimes attract, I think they are too completely different to realistically work out longterm. You won't have to wait long to see how things develop. The next chapter was just added to the queue this morning. :)
I'm guessing Ron is heading for the hills soon. Poor Hermione.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
If Ron's smart, he had best start running. Then again, Ron's never exactly been the sharpest knife in the drawer. Thanks for reading and reviewing! : )
This is brilliant so far, and I am totally hooked! More, please!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thank you, I'm so pleased to hear you're enjoying the story. : )More's on the way. I'm working on the next chapter right now, it should be ready for the queue in a day or so.And thanks for taking the time to review, it's greatly appreciated!
Oh, this is good. I like the way you're handling such a delicate subject.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thank you. Hermione is going through a really painful experience right now, but there is still hope. As for her marriage, I think in time she'll realize that she is better off without such an unsupportive, negative presence in her life. Thanks for taking a moment to review!
WOW, Ron is HORRIBLE in this! Which is fine by me since I don't think he an Hermione or suited to each other. LOL. Poor Hermione.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Ron is being a real wanker, isn't he? Poor Hermione, indeed. But I think she'll come to see that she's much better off without him. Thanks for taking a moment to review!
I feel sorry for Hermione. But at least Ron's out of the picture.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Yes, Hermione's definitely going through a rough time right now. But you're right, I believe she will find she's much better off without Ron in her life. Thanks for reading and reviewing! : )
All I can say after reading this chapter is "DIE, RON, DIE!" (Either that, or "DIE, LAVENDER, DIE!")
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I don't know if actual death is in store for Ron and Lavender, but they will both have to face the music at some point. Thanks for taking the time to review!
Wow... that was harsh! I know if Hermione hadn't been so flabbergasted she'd have killed him. Maybe she can hunt him down and still do so.What a total fool. I hope Hermione comes to the realization that he's not even worth her thinking about him.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Hermione was most definitely caught off guard. I don't think she realized just how far her marriage had deteriorated. Of course, Ron had been drinking, and then there's the Lavender factor. As for how Hermione might react once she's had time to think about Ron's appalling behavior, that remains to be seen. But I agree... Hermione's hardly the doormat type. Ron had better watch his behind, because he will pay dearly, sooner or later. Thanks for reading and reviewing, it's much appreciated! : )
Response from debjunk (Reviewer)
Deteriorated relationships are one thing, being totally unsympathetic to a miscarriage is unforgiveable. Drinking and Lavender really don't factor in to such abominal behavior. He deserves whatever he gets! Can't wait to see what that will be. :)
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I agree with you, Ron's total lack of sympathy for what his wife is going through is absolutely inexcusable, and there are no mitigating circumstances for the horrific things he said and did. That was all Ron.The drinking and Lavender's insidious influence excerbated a problem that was already there, but they certainly don't even begin to excuse it, because there is no excuse. At any rate, Ron will be paying a very stiff price for his execrable behavior... and Hermione won't be the only one wanting a piece of Ron's miserable hide. Although I'd say she definitely gets first dibs.
This is wonderfully engrossing. Sad, but engrossing. I'll admit I shed a couple of tears for Hermione. I look forward to an update -- soon, I hope!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thanks. And yes, Hermione is definitely going through a rough patch right now. Hopefully, with Ron out of the picture, things will slowly take a turn for the better.I'm working on that update by now, and it should be in the queue in a day or so.Thanks for reading and reviewing!
When I first read the last line, I thought the "Pig" was Ron.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Judging by the indignant screeches coming from Pig's cage, I think he's quite insulted to be mistaken for his erstwhile master. Thanks for taking a moment to review!
