Reviews for Reason for Living
Wow! What a total jerk! He reminds me of someone I have to deal with myself. I can't believe he didn't even believe his parents and accused them of siding with Hermione. And that crack about Hermione and Arthur... I'm glad Molly slapped him so hard. She should have pulled out her wand and done some hexes afterward. I have confidence that he'll get his. As for Hermione, I understand her sadness, but a-holes like this make me angry. She should be thanking her lucky stars that he's gone and she can find someone worthwhile. Let Lavender have him. Either she's done something to his mind with a spell/potion, or she's blind.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Ron's a jerk and then some. I'm sorry to hear that you, or anyone else, has to deal with anyone even remotely resembling the way Ron is now. Ron richly deserved what Molly gave him, but I agree, his behavior should have earned him a few nasty hexes as well. But I imagine it's rather hard for Molly to unleash on her own child the wrath that she would surely visit upon anyone else who acted like that.Oh yes, Ron will pay. But there will be some revelations along the way that I think many may find enlightening with regard to Ron's aberrant behavior. As for Hermione, there is something of a flashback coming up that will show the deterioration of her marriage from her POV.About Lavender... I can't respond to that without giving too much away. :)
Beautiful. You made me cry. (^_^) I've not seen anyone handle this aspect of a relationship before in fanfiction and am hoping some excellent storytelling comes out of it.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I'm so glad to hear my story touched you heart, that's the ultimate compliment to any writer. *Hands you a tissue*I don't think I've seen much written on the subject of miscarriage either, most likely because it is such a sensitive topic. But I will be doing my utmost to handle Hermione's situation with as much delicacy as possible. However, as you might have guessed, Hermione's particular case seems to be a bit... unusual. There are definitely a few unexpected twists and turns in the offing, so I definitely hope you strap in for the rest of the ride. Anyway, thanks so much for taking a moment to review. : )
What a great first chapter, I really loved your plot and you write it very well (I am writing this assuming that at some point Ron will be in Hermiones past, that she ends up with Severus and either he helps her find a cure or they are perfectly happy adopting someone who needs them). The only fault I found was the "once in a week update", I am absolutely sure that three times each week would be much better:-)) But, I will wait for however long it takes, finding so interesting WIPs always makes me happy!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thanks so much for the compliments! As for what's in Hermione's immediate future, she and Ron will definitely be having a talk about her condition and what that means for them as a couple, as well as personal needs and expectations.Three times a week updates? *Gulp*Well, I am working on the next chapter right now and it should be ready for the queue by the end of the week. But if my muse is feeling particularly frisky, I think an bonus chapter might be within the realm of possibility. : )And thank you for taking a moment to review, it's very much appreciated. : )
Oh, I get the feeling Ron's not going to like this one bit. Poor Hermione. Hopefully she can figure out what to do to be happy.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I definitely think Ron will not be pleased, which will result in a long talk about expectations and priorities. As for Hermione's happiness, I think she might need some time alone to think about what she needs to be happy.Deb, thanks for taking the time to review, it's very much appreciated! : )
This is a nice start. I'm a little afraid to see how Ron is going to take the news. I hope he doesn't make her feel responsible. She is already going through enough with the miscarriages alone. You want some constructive criticism, huh. The only thing I would suggest changing, is instead of adding a chapter to the queue once a week, you should do it twice a week ;) Or maybe you could just have Jessamin owl me some info on fanfic addiction groups.Looking forward to more!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Glad to hear you enjoyed the prologue, and thanks so much for taking a moment to review! : )As for Ron, we will learn about his reaction to Hermione's sad news in the next chapter. Without revealing too much, there will be a discussion about expectations and priorities that will have a definite impact on their relationship..On updating more often, the once a week thing was a realistic goal, but... if my muse says she's got more to say that week, it's possible that a bonus chapter might pop on from time to time. But I'll be sure to have a chat with Jessamin and see if she has a group to fit your needs as well. :D
Interesting start. I'm looking forward to the rest.

Thanks! More is on the way. : )
I think it's a very good beginning. There's depth to your characters and hints of an interesting back story. Am looking forward to your next installment. Thanks for your work!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thanks so much for the compliments, I'm very glad you're enjoying my story. I'm working on the next installment, should be ready for the queue by the end of the week. : )
A very interesting start. I am interested in where you will take this story. I look forward you your update.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying the story! I'm working on the next chapter as I write this. : )
please please update soon, really want to see where you take this
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Actually, I am working on the next update as we speak. Sorry that I've been MIA for awhile... between illness and RL, I haven't had much left to concentrate on my writing. Hopefully, the new stuff will be up by sometime next week! And thanks for letting me know you're still interested! :)
Do you keep an email list to notify readers when you update this story? I'd love to keep up with it. You are a very talented writer
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Thank you!All you need to do to be notified when this story is updated is to add it to your favorites. :)
I think I would classify Bastard!Ron stories as a guilty pleasure, and this one is splendid - if you were a Brit I'd say it qualifies along with eating French Fancies, but I don't know what the US equivalent is! And I love medical mysteries.
Oh, yeah, you were right, Hermione is in for a rough time. They say karma's a erm, witch and I hope Lavendar and Ron get what's coming to them in spades. Grrr, they truly deserve each other. Thank goodness Harry and the Weasleys are standing behind her. I can't wait to see more of the elusive Professor Snape. Thanks for the wonderful update, I loved it!
Oh no!!! Can this possibly get any worse? Something tells me it will! :( Poor Hermione. hopefully the light at the end of the tunnel will come soon.
And Rita raised her ugly head. *grin* This keeps getting better with each succeeding chapter. Way to go!
I wonder what it will be like when Lav and Ron drop in for the next family gathering. Who will hex them first? Poor Hermione.
I'm glad that Harry and Hermione have each other to lean on. And while I hate that this happened to Ginny too, it is kind of nice that they each have a friend who knows what the other is going through. I hope there is something sinister going on of which Ron is unaware. He can be a little slow sometimes, but not really vicious like he is in this story. I guess I'll just have to wait and find out.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Harry and Hermione have kind of a brother-sister thing going on and will continue to be there for each other, as well as Ginny.About Ron: Good point. Ron has had some supremely idiotic moments, but his behavior right now is so far beyond out of line it isn't funny. As for something sinister going on.... Hm. Just let me say you're on the right track.
I've been so angry with Ron I forgot to think that maybe...just maybe magic is involved? Perhaps he is under some kind of curse...maybe he is really like this but he is worse because of some spell Lavender has him under....Or maybe he's just a creep!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Has Ron been cursed? Hm... you could say that. In a way. But not quite.
sampdoria - I am right behind you!!! I thought I was the only one wanting to visit the utmost Hell on Ron and Lavender. I also have a sneaking suspicion that there is more to the affair between those two than we are aware of. Lavender was always a dab hand at glamour charms and that sort of thing...I wouldn't wonder that love potions and aphrodisiacs were easy for her also. I wonder if Ron has been dosed - he sure is off the deep end even more than he usually is! Wouldn't that be a fitting punishment though...Severus fixes the problem, saves Hermione, they fall in love of course and have a baby. Lavender gets busted for drugging Ron. Severus happy - checkHermione happy - checkRon and Lavender alone and miserable!!! definite check!!UPDATE QUICKLY AND A LOT!!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Something more to Ron and Lavender's affair than people are aware of? Most definitely. As for the rest... well, keep reading! ;)
Thanks for the update! That Ron! He and Lavendar deserve each other! I can't wait til he finds out the truth and goes crawling back to her, only to find her happy with Severus! Ron Who? LOL!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Ron and Lavender do seem to deserve each other, don't they? As for Ron coming crawling back... not likely, at least not anytime soon. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
Hmm...whatever started going wrong with Ron happened during the Asian tour...and Lavender was there with the team...hmm. That's the key, I think, but I imagine it will be a while before things settle down enough to allow Hermione or Harry (or Severus, once he knows) to begin to connect the dots.I dread finding out what Rita Skeeter publishes in her little so-called "interview". I have no doubt that Ron and Lavender will doing their best to make it sound as though it's Hermione's fault that they're getting divorced, probably implying (or outright stating) that Hermione was self-aborting her babies and Ron just couldn't stomach it anymore. Certainly, Hermione could deny it but unless other witches who have had the same problems agree to allow St Mungo's to release their information to the public, it would be difficult to show that she's not alone in her problem.I see Howlers from complete strangers in Hermione's future...I hope I'm wrong! Post the next chapter soon so I can find out if I'm wrong!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
You're on the right track with regard to Ron... something definitely went down between Ron and Lavender during the Asian tour, but perhaps not exactly what you might be thinking.Oh yes, Rita is definitely up to no good. She's got a really big hate on for Hermione, and Ron and Lavender have given her the perfect tool to exact some revenge.I'm working on the next chapter now, so we'll soon see if you're correct about the Howlers. Thanks for reading and reviewing, it's much appreciated!
Please, please let me into your story so I can neuter Ron, in public, with a blunt fork, humiliate him beoyond repair and throw him to the spiders in the forbidden forrest. For Lavender I want to remove the hair on her head, tatoot "married mens mistress" on her forhead and make everyone treat her as the slut she is. I want blod, I want revenge, I want so much pain and hurt thrown at Ron-ron and lav-lav, I can taste it! Please, at least let him loos his family, make him be treated by everyone the same way he has treated Hermione. And Hermione should live happily ever after, with as many children she wants to have, with Severus!!!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
I think Won-Won might have fled wizarding Britain and taken Lav-Lav with him after getting a gander at your plans for him. Maybe he does have a teensy bit of brain left. But rest assured, Ron will pay dearly. Lavender too.As for Hermione, things will turn even darker for her, but she has some great friends on her side. She'll make it through to the other side, sooner or later. Thanks again for reading and reviewing! :)
This is such a heartwrenching story. I love Harry's senitivity towards Hermione. Even though he and Ginny are going through their own devistating time Harry is still concerned about Hermione. I really hope that Ron eventually grows up and realizes what is going on around him. Please update soon.
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Harry has grown into quite the sensitive guy, hasn't he? As for Ron, well... let's just say it'll be awhile before he realizes exactly what he's done. But will it be 'too little, too late'?I'm working on the next update right now, so I hope to have it sent to my beta sometime this weekend. Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
Oh, honestly! Rita running smear campaigns again?
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Obviously, this story isn't your cup of tea. That being the case, why don't you simply 'change the channel' and find something that is? Believe me, that would be greatly appreciated.
OMG. Looks like things are going to get worse before they get better. WOW. I can't wait to read the next chapter!
Response from MuseAmusant (Author of Reason for Living)
Things getting worse before they get better? Most definitely. But like the saying goes, it's always darkest before the dawn...And thanks... I'm working on the next chapter right now. I'm hoping to have it ready to send to my beta this weekend. :)
