Lily was pretty quick (or lucky) to figure out how to narrow the choices for which potion she brewed.

I wonder what Scorpius is thinking?  He is understandably confused and not a little put off by the Bloody Baron's protection of Lily.

This is a great beginning, and I can't wait to see where you take this story.  I wonder what Lily will think of this man with the red eyes who has so thoroughly frightened her.  Is she afraid of monsters?  I want to see where Lily and Severus' relationship goes and whether she becomes a willing student of brewing Potions.  I wonder how she and her brothers interact at Hogwarts, and if they ever come to understand why she was sorted into Slytherin.Will she ever tell anyone about the red-eyed man who has set himself the task of teaching her the "the subtle science and exact art of potion making?"Gracious, I really have a lot of questions, don't I?  Can't wait for your next update!Beth

Dear Mela. A most promising beginning, I must say. I am definitely intrigued, and can't wait to see where you take this.  Am feeling a little bit sorry for poor Severus, though. To escape death only by becoming, well, undead, is probably not an outcome he ever envisioned or desired. I sincerely hope that he finds some kind of peace in this new "life" of his. He certainly deserves it. But as I said: I am intrigued. Keep writing, please.

Severus has found a fondness for Lily Luna that goes beyond whatever he has decided it was based on.  And I don't think Scorpius will harm her, not after being asked to look after her.  Harry.  He should have known he and Ginny were not well suited.  I can't feel too bad for him.

Lily certainly seems to have a penchant for being smack-dab in the middle of whatever rule breaking is going on.   Maybe as he is looking in on his House, Severus will see what she is up to, and point her in a different direction.  Something tells me she will give him a run for his money.Scorpius is taking his role as the "Protector of Lily Potter" very seriously, much to the chagrin of his girlfriend.  I can't help but wonder if he will take a more personal interest in Lily before all is said and done.I'm intrigued by what is happening in George's life.  Who is the only person who understands him, and why could he never be George's?Thank you for a very interesting chapter!Beth
