Love the set up. Makes me think a bit of the carnival ride tale where they end up in the tunnel of love together, only this time we get to see the outcome of the story. :)

Great original idea to hint that Dumbledore had something to do with the theater from the beyond. Also good concept that she should find both of those pictures when thinking of major life decisions about marriage and a second child. Good story.

The grand finale was good - the writing was wonderful - you had their eyes open and gave the reality they would want if they only knew that they could get it.

Severus's life was even worse than Hermione's. It was so horrible that I cringed through it - that should wake the man up to what his life is becoming.

What a wake-up call to give Hermione and Severus is up next. Brillantly written and shocking.... that is enough to get at least her attention that she needs to open her eyes and her heart.

Good first chapter - so like Severus to think something is up. I am happy that you had her ask him to dinner. He is more compatiable to Hermione than either of them know.

Here I sit drenched in sweat after mowing the lawn and I bring up a Christmas story.  All I can say is that I'm thrilled I did.  It's so sweet.  I love how they came to be together and both enjoyed their time so much that they didnt' want it to end.  The "movies" were great too, but of course the fluffy icing on the cake was the beautiful outcome of it all.  I loved it all and it even cooled me off some!! ^.~   Very well done.

Deputy Headmistress's Response: There's nothing wrong with fluff, but there is definitely something wrong with someone leaving a smart-arsed review like this. I thought she was playing at first, but I've seen a snide review she left for someone else,  saying the story had "cheese issues." How insulting to say such a thing and not lay out exactly what's off about it.  

So don't feel badly about it, doll. I know how soft hearted you can be. Your story is great, your grammar is in top form, and you have many other great reviews to prove you are doing something right. I really liked this premise (bwahahaha, not that I'm biased or anything).

Sweet Story

excellent ending...loved the vignettes from their married life...Now, had Severus gone with Hermione could they have possibly found the theatre? Would it require both of them to access it?? hmmm, something to think about.. :P...congrats on a job well done. I enjoyed reading this story...

Very sweet and a nice Christmas present.  You did a nice job with the challenge.

I enjoyed your little Christmas story, actually all your work.  Your descriptions of the path each might take apart were very believable.  Hermione never quite fitting in, feeling lonely in a room filled with friends and their families, knowing what you want out of life, but not how to obtain it.  And, Severus staying in the shadows, isolating himself, drinking alone, realizing what he wants in life, but feels he is not worthy of love.  It's a Wonderful Life is my favorite movie.  I think your story was a nice adaptation.

OH, what a perfect way to wrap up this Christmas fic!!!  You and Sun are so BAD!!!  Almost as bad as me!  ;D  Maybe next year you could have another Christmas fic, one where Hermione gives birth to their son.  Maybe catch Serpens really sneaking our ot Tabby's room. Such a sweet fic.  Warms the cockles of the heart.  Okay, everybody.  On the count fo three.  1...2...3..  AWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwww.  Truly a sweet little fic.
