Reviews for The Ghost And Mrs. Krum
I first watched The Ghost and Mrs Muir when I was about twelve with my mother. I loved it! It was such a romantic story, and I enjoyed it very much! I found it again one day on AMC and had to record it. Every once in a while, I stick the tape in the VCR, just to watch it again! This is brilliant! I can see hermione and Severus in just such a relationship! I love it! Awesome!

I pretty much saw it at the same age too. It's the most romantic movie I have ever seen. I'm searching for it on DVD, since I have it for a few days from Netflixs. That's sort of what gave me the inspiration. I could just see Snape in the role of the captain. I'm glad you are enjoying this so far.
I think that is a great idea, and not one I have seen before! I hate that he is a ghost...(No love match?)...But it was really a good idea for her to move (unknowingly) into his house and the idea about the book. Well done. Can't wait for chapter 3! Let me know when its up!
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it was just too much of a temptation to adapt the movie to these two. While I won't say no to a love match, its a bit complicated as you can imagine. If you have ever seen the movie you will know what I mean. It's an incredibly romantic movie and if you have never seen it you should. I should have another chapter up in a few days. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it.
Good start so far! I can't wait to see the rest! I loved the way Severus threw out those sisters! Too funny.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed this first part. Yeah, I think the first nail in their coffin was the comment about the "Outhouse." It was all downhill from there.
This is excellent! I barely remember the tv series, now it looks as though I shall have to go find the movie! I like how you've written the characters, and I can't wait for the next chapter! *smile*GG

Thank you. I saw the movie when I was in grade school. They used to show classic movies and I just loved it. I never really saw the series. I"ve tried to keep write the characters pretty close to the movie, but if you see the movie you'll see how easily it could fit for Snape and Hermione. Especially Snape, since the captain is such a snarky bastard. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I hope you enjoy the rest I have to come.
ahahaha! i love the premise! good story. glad you're posting another! hehe....
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
Yep, I'm posting chapter 3 in a few days. The creativity is flowing, so I've got to take advantage.
LOL.. i wish those harpies could have heard him.. ahhaha... too funny! I love it! Dang, though! I hate that he's a ghost (means no loving! hehe)
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
LOL, yeah no lovies, at least not in the physical sense. I like writing him as a ghost though, its fun. Thanks for taking the time to read this though, I know you are super busy, so I appreciate your feedback.southern_witch_69's response: muahahha! i didnt think about that (not in the physical sense)... hehe **I am horribly naughty, huh?**
Brilliant story. Please update soon.

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I'll have another chapter up early this coming week. Thanks for taking the time to read and review this.
Hmm... I love the movie, and your story is looking like a good adaptation. Is Severus going to help her with a good potion instead of writing a memoir? (Though his memoir would be a best seller, I expect.) Well, I look forward to finding out.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
I'm glad to know you are enjoying this so far. I'm trying to keep it as faithful to the movie as possible, just because 1) It's a lovely movie and 2) I'm having a good time adapting these characters to the film. I'm going go post another chapter tomorrow morning. I hope you enjoy that one as well. Thank you for taking the time to read this and review. I appreciate it.
Oh lord! I love you! It's great to see an old movie turned into a fic! I am glad to know I am not the only old movie buff! You've done quite a brilliant job too, adapting the story to fit the movie, and vice versa! Can't wait for more!
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
Oh thanks! You are familiar with the movie then. I first saw it when I was in grade school and it has always been a favorite of mine. After recently seeing it, I could just imagine Severus taking on the role of the ghost. I really want to try and keep it as faithful to the movie as I can. I'm glad you like it so far.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
Just a note, something happened before, and part of the story was cut off. I hope you will be able to read the rest of the chapter and enjoy that as well.
I really liked your story. At your suggestion, I went and rented the movie. As you said it was good, but I actually liked your story better. Once you have experienced the story with characters that you love so much, it is hard to top it. It makes me think of some of the awful "classics" that we had to read oh so long ago in high school. If only someone would have made a SS/HG version I would have made it through in no time. Thanks for a fun read!
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
Thank you for the lovely compliment! I agree, some of those older classics would have been more interesting as fanfic. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. It's one of my favorites.
I love, love, love this ending. I always tease my mother about how they just hold hands, look at each other and walk out the door. I am so glad to have the ending that it should have had!
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
Thank you. I'm glad you liked this ending. June helped me with the addition. I knew I wanted something more than the usual ending, so she came up with an idea and I went with it. This is one of my all time favorite movies. I just thought it lent itself very well to a SS/HG fic.

I know the character that you modeled Reg on wrote children's books, does Reg write them, too? On the other hand, his part in the story is done, so never mind. Excellent chapter.
Awww, he gave her a kiss.
I can't wait for Hermione to wake up to who Reggie is.
Don;'t know what to say so, see rating.
Very nice.
Severus being cryptic. Excellent chapter

So wonderful.
very true to the movie and to the characters. I'm loving this.
Does he have a monkey puzzle tree? :)
I love this movie, and I'm glad that you made an SSHG adaption. I wonder what the Hermione version of 'Luchia(?)' would be.

Hello again, dear Ancientgirl! Here you have me again trapped in one of your narratives.I love the movie that inspired you so this fic looks promising.I´m sure you´ll have me another night awaken and reading your stuff. Luckily (!) I´m unemployed at the moment (!!) so Í won´t have to wake up early and work half asleep.I´m sure you´ll provide me another wonderful entertaintment. But by the way...do people in Britain have to pay the hospital´s fee? I´m afraid they don´t have to if they are Europeans and go to national ones.I think that British have a national health service like we do in Spain (Seguridad Social). I think most European countries do provide people with free medical assistance. I myself own a card called the E-111 that provides free medical assistance for Europeans throught the whole European Community. I always carry it with me when I´m abroad to Portugal or France in case I break one leg, get a diarrhea or something :) and E-111 also covers Bulgarian citizens.Anyway I don´t remember JKR giving hints about a National Health Service in wizarding Britain so perhaps your guess about the hospital ´s fee is right. And anyway it is possible that Viktor Krum prefered a private hospital (less crowded for sure). But at least in Spain you only go to private hospitals for lesser things. When you´re seriously injured you always go to the national ones. If your life is theatened national hospitals are more reliable and always have the best doctors and newest technologies. I know due to that Thatcher woman British Health Service is worse than Spanish National Service (one of the best in the world) so I may be mistaken. But again, I don´t know if all this applies to wizarding Britain so it really doesn´t mind at all.Now I´m going to resume reading your fic and enjoy myself a lot for sure.Best wishes and thanks a lot again for your tales.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
I love the movie that inspired this story. I just thought it worked so well as a romantic story for this paring.I know there is some sort of national system in the UK as far as health goes, but I imagined Viktor to have been privately cared for, so that's why I wrote it that way.I hope you do enjoy this. It was a pleasure to write.
Loved the story. Always hated that he went away and she was alone so many years. What a waste. You did and excellent job retelling the story with my favorite couple in the lead roles. I loved both the movie and the the Series.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
Thank you for getting through it all. It's a bit of an obscure movie, and I don't think many who read this story ever saw it. You may be the first. I'm very happy to know that you felt I did the movie some justice.
*weeps*
Read the last chapter accompanied by "Haven't We Been Here Before" by Styx, and have cried for ... oh ... 4 minutes and still counting....
Fab story, girl, just fab.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Ghost And Mrs. Krum)
Oh thanks, Hon. This has always been such a lovely story I knew when I caught it on TV not long ago that it would be a wonderful story to adapt to Severus and Hermione. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
