Very neat.  Why was Severus so prickly?  Will Hermione still sign with them?  Will Severus brew her potions?  Way to many questions!!!  I can't wait for the next chapter.

did Draco take them to Liluput's becasue it is trendy?  one assumes since it was not for the charming ambiance.Like the promise of a mangled leg from the closed mouth of a shark, Draco heard the threat in her voice.  another wonderful touch.  YOu put thought and work into your writing.

I sure hope that Draco doesn't end up with Hermione.  I am not a Malfoy fan.  :-)  Thanks for this story which is quite promising so far.Just a few notes jotted down as I read. 

I like your description at the very begining, even the rocks looked malnourished.  what a wonderful touch!Personally, I think of Snape as tall, but most adults are taller than I, even the women.  I think of Sirius as tall and I recall reading in one of the books that Harry noticed Snape was only slightly shorter than Black.  Just had to put that in since others have been discussing Snape's height.    I Love your choice of Hermione's successful business for the prompt.  How sensible!  rather a pity she goes from helping people with disfiguring problems to vanity treatments for people like Narcissa. (I bet you already have written her in later chapters doing free work for the poor.)I do hope Draco's "brief meeting held in Nocturne Alley with two faceless thugs that would ensure that Granger would need a new Potions supplier " will be found out later. *skips happily off to next chapter*

Ouch. Snape seems to dislike Granger, big time. Perhaps he is holding a grudge over being left to bleed to death in the Shrieking Shack?

I think I'm going to like this one. I must confess, I've always written Snape as a bit taller than average. I must have missed all the discussions about his actual height! But, even if he he is 'only' five-nine, he'd be a lot taller than my five-two. I'm looking forward to more of this.

Poor Draco. Snape really is a handicap. LOL

However, I, for one, made a raised fist and said, "Yes!" when you described his stature. He's actually described as nearly a head shorter than Black in that particular scene, and weedy and undernourished as a boy. Those broad shoulders and very tall height are fanfic creations. So yay for you!

As for the rest... meh. It's the story, in the end, that matters! And you tell good un's.

Geeze, boys figure it out! The Muggle incident was so much like the precurser to the war/witch trials. Interesting that the anti-Muggle hate is still as strong. Oh a drugged out sweetly sappy Severus. *faints* I am glad he'll survive, though. The private 'junk' room was interesting. The ablums even more so. NOw Draco knows about Severus liking Hermione, as dose she. Severus will be mortified.

What is going on here?  We have mushrooms that have been created with the use of Dark Magic.  Anyone who has been associated with the use of Dark Magic at some point in their lives apparently has an extremely virulent reaction to infection by said evil mushrooms.  The side effects are violent behavior, foaming at the mouth, and worm like things "swimming" under their skin.Harry seemingly has recovered from his infection without the side effects even though he had hosted a part of Voldemort's soul.  Severus has delved into dark magic adn is extremely ill.  Hermione has used it, as well (for research purposes only), and we don't yet know if she has become infected.  Draco used dark magic when he was a student, but he has just now been exposed to Severus -- hopefully Severus Vanished the spores completely.And where is Ginny?  She was exposed to Voldemort's effects too in her first year at Hogwarts..... Hummmmm.....And Severus became very afraid for Hermione once he realized she may have been exposed, too.  Our Potions Master has a lot more invested in our Hermione than he is letting on.Now who could have (and would have) "crossed" mushrooms with a virulent parasite to create the fungal freaks that are spreading like wild fire?  The only one I can think of who has been mentioned, but not seen, is Lucius Malfoy.  Could he have been involved this scheme, and would that be the real reason he kicked Draco out of Malfoy Manor (even though Draco is the one paying his father's bills)?So many questions... I need answers!!!!!   pretty please?  I love this story!Beth

Hermione is in her element, and Draco is trying to get her in his element, but she will only want to be in Snape's element.  Elemental, my dear Watson.I cracked up when Severus started throwing dragon dung at Draco.  The little poser asked for it.  Hooray for Luna!  She figured it out, and now they're off to the Forbidden Forest.Great chappie!Beth
