Single handedly got my family hooked on the HP series, and am proud of it. I've been writing for a very long time, and have only recently gotten involved in the HP world -- it has managed to suck me up like a vortex!

This was an amazingly touching piece. So realistic in human reactions regarding Ginny and Luna, Lupin, the thoughts, the actions, the drinking... so much sad reality. I like that you closed it on such a poignant statement: "You might not be able to tomorrow." Well done.

I just have to say, for me, it's hard to read. Mostly because every time the teacher/student angle is mentioned, my brain goes "ewwww" and I'm pulled out of the story. But that's me, not the writing.I really like how this story seems to be focusing on Luna, not on a Luna/Lupin relationship or a Ginny drug problem, or Luna's dad being kind of crazy. Luna has to deal with these things, and Luna/Lupin is kind of the focus, but it really does seem to be a story about Luna. Me likey.

I liked it too. Luna has a hard time thinking about a professor that way too. The extenuating circumstances of lonliness cause this attraction in the first place, and then go from there. Essentially this story is about Luna, there is more about her because I've thought about her more, where as Remus one day will have his... well, I guess his day. It's a story mostly based on that feeling of life. A life without love, is no life at all, some might say, and in lieu of such a frightening perspective, we're left wondering if we should love, or if that loss will be worse than never having loved. Ahh, look at me yakking. :)
did you base Ginny and Luna's friendship off us? Specifically, the not talking and sharing beds part?I heart my amazon princess, such lyrical writing!

Wow. I'm so dense, I guess I never saw the parallel. It is true, we don't talk and the sleeping. I think I did it to show that their closeness was at a very deep level, and yet at the same time, there was so much surface damage inside them, that they needed each other, but despite that need, Ginny and Luna hide parts of themselves from the other. Look at me, acting like they are real... lol... *in chipmunk voice* They are though!
Good story. An interesting pairing.

Lovely story. The way you wove their POV and showed their feeling bloom was beautiful. Thank you for the story and I hope you keep writing. (And I wouldn't mind an epilogue, either, but I won't press.)

I'm actually pretty sure that if I'm going to write an epilogue after NaNoWriMo is done.

As I mentioned, the more I hear of it, the more I'm leaning towards an epilogue sometime around december, if my brain cells are still functioning. :)

I am enjoying this story. I really hate that they keep Ginny's problems all hushed up. Instead of those boys getting punished, they are getting away with it. I am interesting in finding out her story and exactly what's been going on with her. Luna / Lupin.... ahhh so close, yet so far away!

I enjoyed the way Lupin explained his fascination with her, via his inner thought struggles. I also enjoyed Luna's inner banter. Well done. I am quite curious as to what's up with Ginny. I think the pace is excellent--no rushing, not too slow. Good job, my dear. SW69

Well, I have to admit that I'm no Tonks/Remus fan, not really. So this pairing will work. I think you captured Lupin's laid back demeanor, and it's good to see Luna seriously portrayed instead just being off in dreamland. I'm quite interested in the next portion. cheers

This was a good chapter. I like that things aren't exactly perfect. It's a pity that they can't seem to get their words out. I'm certain that will be coming soon. Good job with Lupin's uncertainties and Luna's dreaminess.
