I have to apologize to everyone, period. Real life swallowed me whole, as I have been struggling to make a living writing original fiction over the last 8 years. It has not been easy, & has been complicated by health issues. I hope people can forgive my long silences. Trying to make enough money to live on from writing is a lot harder--waaaay harder--than it looks. (At least I didn't leave any posted fanfics unfinished.)
Anyhoo...
These stories are works of parody (& thus are allowable under US law), and are not written for profit. Just for fun. I'm not making any money off of any fanfics, nor will I ever. I'm just playing around in other writers' universes.
...I am, however, making something of a living off my own stories. (If anyone wants to play around in my universes, you may visit my website, www.jeanjohnson.net, and look up my policy on Fanfics & Fanarts. It's reasonable enough and fairly easy to follow, too...)

That was quite interesting. Is there going to be some sort of time paradox when the 3 1/2 years are up? And the spanking was hot and fun.

Yeah!!!!
I'm so glad her plan worked, of course Hermione isn't the 'cleverest witch of her age' for nothing!
I love all the details you put into this story. Very well thought out.
Oh very nice. I love hoe Hermione is skirting around the truth. Maybe she should have been sorted into Slytherin...
Ohhh I like this. Interesting start and it's another unusual time turner story. I think it's the first one where a spell made things go wonkers.
This is great! I've been reading Being Someone Special on another site and thought I would peruse the updates at some of my other favorite haunts and found this story. The way you bring Hermione and Severus to fit together in such seamless intimacy is wonderfully done in each story. Thanks for another great read, I look forward to more.
this is SO SWEET:) and so FITTING:) I love it that Severus figures out who she is-that's in character, he is so smart it wouldn't work for him to be oblivious and getting the info all at once like being hit in the head with a bludger:) I love it:)Warm regards,Fizzabella
Very entertaining.
These four chapters are wonderful! I am eager to read about the next three years.
This chapter was so very sweet. And I must agree, it was quite humourous to read Severus saying he has to "wee" LOL!It felt like everything was happening so quickly, but now that we know how Severus feels, hopefully things will slow down a bit and they can have some quality time together ;)I really liked this and I'm excited for more!

Yes! SO he figured out it was her, well, Hermione, you know what I mean. Will you carry this through the 3 1/2 years to her time?

A new LOTM story...what a perfect way to start a day!
Great story. I loved how he figured out who she is in the current timeline. And I really liked the part in the previous chapter where he tells her Dumbledore is looking for slips on her part about the future. That really seems in character, I can't see Dumbledore missing a chance to gain extra information. He wouldn't ask outright, but any slips would be too useful to ignore.

Severus saying "wee." Love the turn-about. First, she had to convince him she liked him, that he was worthy of/she actually considered him a friend; then, he had to convince her that he loved her. Loved this line: “Then I prayed it was me.” and the whole bit about the chair. Had me fan-girling. Wistful, romanic sighs and all, especially at these lines: “—Sod the future!” and “Be mine. Please. Stay with me. Do not go.” Simply Brilliant!

I couldn't resist the chair. It's such a banal household object, ordinary, everyday, and overlooked...but it was her chair. The only tangible tie he had to her, beyond his memories and her occasional reappearance, was through the chair she had used. The rest of it was undeniably romantic, but that one bit about the chair showed just how much he missed her when she was temporally gone.As for the "wee" bit...that was a deliberate nod to Geoffrey Palmer's performance in the BBC series, "As Time Goes By". At the end of I believe the first season, his character confesses his love to Dame Judi Dench's character...and then, in the midst of this utterly romantic moment in a park by the river...he also confesses the fact that he suddenly, seriously needs to have a "wee". It cracked me up (as it was intended to), but it also delighted me, because this happens in real life! So, naturally, I had to include it in at least one of my own stories...and this one just seemed like the perfect opportunity.~Lotm

New story!!!!! This is brilliant!
Forgot about daylight savings time! Very clever. I'm actually glad I missed this until now, it means I already have more to read! Loving it already.
Truly amazing story. Loved every bit.

Gorgeous, wonderful, excellant. I love this story so much and it's only been four chapters. I loved how you got Hermione through the years quickly but without rushing it. I can't believe she got through those years without giving anything away. I would be desperate to give Severus clues at least. Can't wait for another chapter.

Ah, but you forget just how high the stakes are, with the ultimate prize for her to win: saving Severus Snape's succulent skin. (Sorry, couldn't resist the alliteration...)With Snape's very life on the line, how could she dare slip?~Lotm

Oh, *squee!* I missed your SS/HG fic, I'm so glad to see this! So Hermione was transported further back in time because Voldy hexed her and disrupt the Time-Turner ... er, turning. Lucky is not nearly enough that he didn't opt to use his trademark Killing Curse. And she was also transported back when he was already a teacher there. This is the first; most would transport her back when he was seventeen-ish. Brilliant start, btw. I can't wait to read the rest! :)

Oh, good heavens, no...everyone's done Teenaged!Snape to death. Cindy (my editor) wanted a Time-Turner fic, but I knew she wanted something a bit more unique than that. Besides, this fits the scenario a heck of a lot better...~Lotm

Exactly, which is why I'm glad that you take a different approach. Besides, I've had enough Lily and teenage pranks really. Ugh.I take it when you said it fits the scenario better, you mean that Severus won't be younger than Hermione? It was three years after the war was over when she went back, after all... So, they're like about the same age. Off to read the rest of the chapters now.

Brillant chapter, awsome story! Please tell me its not the end? I'd love to see more of the relationship develop, and see how Severus copes with being a muggle for 3.5 years! :)

Oh this story is absolutely wonderful, and I loved the chance of reading four chapters at once. Though I'm sad it ended there for now, and can't wait to for the next one. I wonder how much Hermione will have aged from when she left on her trip to when she gets there again in three and a half years. Well, I'm asuming that she does age. Again, lovely story.

Bravo! That was absolutely fantastic. I know there is more coming because you have already said that the warnings are for the content of the future chapters. However if this had been the end I would have said, "Great story! Way to turn canon on its ear and make things right!" I guess I can still say that because it's true. And now I get to wait for the bonus chapters, which will not just make things right, but also make them better!
I thought I had read enough time turner stories to have my fill, but you proved me wrong. I love this! What a wonderfully original use of the time turner! Will there be more or is the story complete? At any rate, this was a great read! I really enjoyed it!

Okay, now I think I've had a moment of clarity. Am I correct that Hermione has determined that the "mistake" that shot her too far back was actually neccesary, so she could build up the resources to both help Severus survive and allow him to escape into anominity and build a new future away from all the crap he would have had to deal with if he survived in the wizarding world? And of course she could then go on to see if her future self had a future with him. I loved the part where Severus thought she was doing all this to save Potter! Poor man.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Time)
She has determined her mistake in being flung too many years back in time is an opportunity for her to build up the resources necessary to rescue Snape from his fate. As for the rest of it...you'll have to read it to see whether or not she succeeds.~Lotm
