Just came across this story and am enjoying it very much. I do have one question, however. As an interested interlibrary loan practitioner myself, could you tell me where I might be able to purchase a boomerang owl? (UPS is getting so expensive these days). ;)

This is awesome! I love how you are using Madam Pince to bring Hermione and Severus together. And now Hermione has found someone else to save! I can't wait to see what happens, and to see just how Hermione and Severus handle their little fumble behind the pub! Great job!

This is great so far! I worry for the sake of our characters about what will happen next (but I think I'll really enjoy reading it). I felt really sad while reading the scene with Madam Pince and her heart attack scare.And the chemistry between Hermione and Severus is great.

Okay, now what is she doing?  How, or why, would she help Pince if she was falling for Severus herself?  Having him come to the library would just be cruel, don't you think?  You've gotten these three spinning in circles and chasing after each other!  It's pretty entertaining.

Loved this bit:“Miss Granger, do not—” Do not what? He could not say. Do not play with fire. Do not pretend. Do not pity me. Do not underestimate me. Do not overestimate.~~Hmmm... will Snape arrive or won't he? Can't wait to find out!

Oooh, brilliant portrayal of drunk behaviour! Eep, I sense a whole knot of misunderstandings coming up. Grin.

Haaaaa. Irma is writing the notes to Severus and he thinks it's Hermione. Brilliant!And the house-elf is hilarious in his enthusiam; had me giggling all the way through :)Uh-oh... a drunk Hermione... what is she going to get up to now?Intriguing story so far... and a very enjoyable read!

Your Irma is beautifully characterised here, and you've brought her from canon 2D into full three dimensional life.I can't help but feel sorry for her though... her plan is going to backfire on her spectacularly, I think!

You know Opaljade, you are really a very talented author!  Your characters "live in my head" even after I have finished reading the chapter.  I look forward to reading more of this story and anything else you do.

I am really enjoying this story.  The imagery is very good.

Flat on her back, she tucked the blankets tight over herself, as if to keep the feel of his presence from escaping. This is a beautiful image. I can just imagine how she is laying there, remembering her evening.

Does Irma’s patronus have any significance? Don’t dragonflies die after they mate? Foreshadowing???

Oh no Hermione is going to try to set Irma up isn’t she? Well that’s going to be highly awkward.

The punctuation here is wrong. Maybe a - would be appropriate? ie. It seemed he had inherited more than his father’s crooked bottom teeth- for drinking, just as it had his patriarch, made him horny as hell. I don't know.. its still not quite right, but you do need to do something. As is, the meaning is almost impaired.

Some picky things, because I am an editior... but I am really loving the story. Your opening with madam pince was truly spot on Rowling. It was beautiful. Now to brass tacks...

This clause doesn't agree very nicely.. it should be "discuss it with him" as you are refering back to his agreement ie agree to let her pursue his research and discuss it with *him* otherwise if you joined those two you would be saying "agree to let her discuss it with her."

I think you might have meant to say less worried about his lack of interest in life, than in academic pursuit. ie as he never was one for much of a life, but for him not to be pusuing academics would be unthinkable.

OH NO!!!!! Don't get any crazy ideas, Hermione!!! Fantastic chapter!! Poor Irma. I really feel for her. You know, this playing tag thing drives me crazy! LOL SIgh Delicious visuals here as well.... verrrry nice... BUT NOT ENOUGH! :D

Oh the medling librarian biffed it big time. IF she'd just not sent the letter bout she and Hermione would se him again. *sigh*

Poor Irma, no Severus. Poor Severus, wanting to be left alone and is the target of matchmaking. and poor Hermione, just threw Ron over and he's already hooked up with Cho. Things can only get better.

What a great story!  Very original, funny and charming.  You have written some truly classic lines for your Snape, very in character.   This was such fun to read, hope there is more coming soon!  Thanks for sharing this.
