Remus Lupin, unemployed and unhappy, makes a deadly, if not to say stupid, decision: he becomes a full-time wolf. Only Severus Snape has no intention to accept this.

I was very surprised that they turned out being more than friends in this story. That just sort of jumped out of nowhere. Good work with it and how it was presented.

i loved this chapter. well, ss/rl is definitely one of my favorite ships, whether friends or more than. and i love a good s/lash, which this definitely is - very hot, and also sweet. a little sad for me in that remus is married to tonks, so - where does that leave them? i sense that remus might be wondering the same thing. or i could be projecting! i just want snape to have more passion and tenderness in his life. in any case, i will trust you, dear writer, to sort it out. : )

Considering all Severus did to get Remus back to his wife and child, I can understand why he would want that to be a one time only thing. That was one of the most beautifully written love scenes I've read. Het or slash.

First, it is a day before the full moon. Second: Possibly. But as there aren't that many werewolves at all it would be really bad luck to bump into another one. I must admit, I didn't give it much thought, as the woods are close to Lupin's house and therefore, belong to him. A "Don't get into my part of the woods" sort of thing between wolves...Thanks for reviewing!

It looks like Severus considered everything except maybe the possibility of Lupin biting him, being turned into a werewolf himself. However, even if he had thought about it I don't believe it would have slowed him down more than half a step at most. So with either fate or Severus' and Lupin's combined powerful magics (and let's not forget Love) working on the case, what is the dawn's early light going to reveal?

inconvenient timing, indeed! evil, evil cliffie! cruel, cruel author! okay, i'll try for a full sentence now. the writing at the beginning of this was gorgeous - i was completely immersed with snape in the foreboding night as he searched the woods. *shivers*
one little thing - where you say, "tried to see his friend behind under the fur," i'm thinking you meant for it to be either "behind" or "under," not both?
please don't make us wait for too long to find out what happens next!

That picture really startled me first off. Remus is really hurting, and I'm a little sad that he didn't want Severus's help. I hope the Moonflower potion does what it is supposed to do! I'll be waiting eagerly for the next chapter.

Wonderful start! I like the fact that Severus considers Lupin a friend. Harry's being a bit of a git, but Ron's the voice of reason? That's also an interesting twist.
