Remus Lupin, unemployed and unhappy, makes a deadly, if not to say stupid, decision: he becomes a full-time wolf. Only Severus Snape has no intention to accept this.

I never liked Tonks or her mother. So they deserve everything they get. Poor Severus.
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
:-) At least Tonks will get her husband back, in one way or another. Her mum is a different matter, of course. I don't know if in canon she is nice or not, but it fitted the story to make her evil. Thanks for reviewing!

I love that Severus is coming to Remus' defense. I can't see Remus going wild, if he would have, he would have long before now. Like after James and Lily died and Sirius was put in prison. Maybe Albus thinks there just might be a chance that Severus could help Remus. My goodness this is a brilliant story.

Thank you very much for your review. I know that Snape/Lupin stories are not the most favourite ship, so I am really glad for every nice word ;-)I think Remus just snapped after too many years of pressure. A tiny bit too much, and he couldn't stand it any longer and decided that going wild is the only possibility for him.

well done. I like the tangled relationships a lot

Thank you so much! I know that Snape/Lupin is not the most popular ship, and I am aware that a threesome or even a foursome is not to everybody's liking.Next (and last) chapter should be in the queue soon. Thanks a lot for reviewing!

Good gads! Okay you pulled that from the hat. A little pat, but works, I think? I loved that Remus, who can read Severus so well, totally missed the 'It meant everything to him' part. Hmmmm
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
I didn't have a choice, dear. I made Remus and Tonks a loving couple from the very beginning, then I realised that Remus and Severus would sleep with each other - and was stuck. I didn't want to break the marriage, I couldn't undo what I had already written, so I needed this litte trick. And I think it works, too. Next chapter is with SW69, she'll post it soon. It will be the last chapter, and I hope it answeres open questions. Thanks a lot for reviewing!

Glad they are still on good terms.

So am I, believe me. I was a bit stuck when I realised that Severus and Remus would sleep with each other, as I had made Remus and Tonks a loving couple from the very beginning. I hope this solution works for you.Next chapter is the last and hopefully answeres the few remaining questions. Thanks a lot for reviewing!

Love the picture!

Minerva and Poppy. That's brilliant!
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
:-) Thanks! I wanted another homosexual couple, and those two jumped into my mind...

:-( i don't like the snape/hermione bit. it seems like it's just added in for no reason.i like that tonks is bisexual. it seems to suit her.isn't this mainly going to be a snape/lupin story?
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
Hmmm, I would say this story is mainly about friendship. Snape and Lupin are the main characters, of course, but I wanted to outbalance Lupin/Tonks with Snape/Hermione. So she being in there definitely has a reason. The next chapter will be the last, btw. And thanks a lot for reviewing!

Don't you just love it when all the parameters that define your world suddenly change and without even a warning let alone your permission?
*evil snicker*Just love seeing Snape dyscombobulated.
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
Discombobluate - what a wonderful word, I didn't know it until your review :-)Yes, Snape's world tumbled upsided down and now he has to deal with it. I guess, though, that he will be doing fine :-)Thanks a lot for your lovely review, dear!

That was lovely, and I see why you said Tonks wouldn't have a problem with it. But I love that Remus is sending Severus out after Hermione.
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
Remus is not selfish, a rare attribute in any human being. He wants Severus to be happy; the next (and last) chapter will show if sending his lover after Hermione works out for all of them ;-)Thanks a lot for reviewing!

dear mystery author, i'm not sure i can properly express how much i appreciate the way you handled the little complication of remus/tonks. you are clearly a girl after my own heart. :D and you know, usually minerva paired with anybody makes me hide my head under the covers, but minerva/poppy made me go - hmm. interesting. anyway - great chapter. i loved it.
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
Thank you so very much! I wasn't sure if readers wouldn't get ticked off by the principle of shared love, but that was the only solution I could think of, given the fact that Tonks and Remus really love each other. Thanks as well for your ok on Minerva and Poppy. I wanted another homosexual couple in the story, showing that homosexuality is nothing unusual. Those two just popped into my mind :-)

mmm two of my favorite things. Snupin and SH. woot!
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
Maybe I shouldn't do this, but the sequel is already half finished. A one-shot, and a threesome. LR/SS/HG. In case you are interested ;-) And I will definitely write more SS/RL. I think they are the perfect match.

Good chapter! And quite an unsuspected change of things, at least for me.
Author's Response: Now tell me, dear, which part was unepected? Hermione? I wanted to outbalance Tonks/Remus, and as I always pair Snape and Hermione, it seemed the obvious choice.
Next (and last) chapter will go into queue in a day or two. Hope you will like the ending!
Alcina vom Steinsberg's response: Hermione was unexpected, yes, but first the outcome of the night and the possibility for a partnership between Severus and Remus, too. I wouldn't have liked it if Remus had left Tonks for Severus, mind, so I'm quite glad with this solution, even though I don't care personally much for more than one partner. Or rather not at all ;o).
Minerva and Poppy, hmm? This is such an nice combination between naughty and romantic :D
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
Thank you! I found I cannot write a fic without some romance in it, some deep emotions, some hurt feelings, no matter how much sex comes along with it. And Minerva and Poppy seemed to be the perfect couple to me ;-)

Phew, I'm really glad that both got out of it alive and kicking! I'm eager to read on how things are developping now.
Author's Response: I will post the next chapter today to SW, so hopefully it will be online soon. And things will definitely... develop :-)
Thanks for reviewing!

Wow, that was dense and intense. Great chapter! I feel for Severus - and am really intrigued how you are going to go on from here. In a story I'm still figuring out, Severus gets severly scratched by Remus as a Werewolf, too ;o) .
Author's Response: Thanks a lot for reviewing, and please tell me which story you are talking about - I'm always looking for good Snape/Lupin stories...

Author's Response: Did you find the story yet, dear? Would be interested to get a link.
Or have you done it and I have missed it??
Alcina vom Steinsberg's response: It's a story I'm working at, though waaay off from being published yet, and it will be in German, too, I'm afraid ;o).
Hmmm, is it possible Remus may have another reason for Snape to take his shirt off?I am glad Severus is so passionate about those he cares for. Otherwise he would not have risked so much to save Lupin.
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
His sole reason is to see the scars he caused. Although this might change sort of... soon ;-) Hope you are not offended by slash; I will add the proper warnings to the next chapter. And I always considered Snape passionate. He just doesn't know it himself. Yet. Thanks so much for reviewing!

Oh, please tell me a werewolf attack won't affect Severus the same way on the day before the full moon as it is on the full moon. *Scurries of to read next chapter*
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
As you already read the next chapter you know by now that Snape is safe, at least concerning the effect of a werewolf's attack. He got scratched, not bitten ;-)

I love the art on each chapter. Wow, What Severus had to go through to save a friend. Enthralling and yet very scary. For a moment I thought Severus was bitten. Whew.
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
He thought so, too, but luckily, he wasn't ;-)I couldn't resist the wolves; there are three more pictures to come, and I hope you will like them. And I tired to tie the art to the content of the chapter, so hopefully, the next picture will show clearly what to expect...Thanks for reviewing!

I think it is hysterical that he went from "I'll kill him" to "I'll scold him."Albus tends to think his ideas are the best for everyone, even without asking anyone. :PI wonder what Remus will think of the damage he has done to Severus.
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
Slightly hysterical, but then, he isn't in that good a shape when he wakes up ;-)Dumbledore never asks, and he always thinks he knows best. And Remus will be shocked, naturally.Next chapter will go into queue sometime next week - thanks for reviewing!

Ouch! I worry for Snape here (again and even more than before). lol

I liked the whole chapter, but I really enjoyed the dream and his transition from sleeping to wakefulness. :) Good work
Response from chivalric (Author of Cold Moon)
Thank you! I rarely write about dreams, as it seems so useless, but I couldn't resist it here. Thanks a lot for reviewing!
