I love writing and reading. I work from home, which gives me the temptation to read or write fanfic instead of work! I have lived in both the US and UK. I currently live in the US, with my husband and three beautiful girls (all of whom wish to attend Hogwarts when they're of age! LOL).

Ahhh!! You absolutely HAVE to continue this! It's absolutely remarkable! By far one of the best HG/SS stories I've read in a long time.I suppose that I am a bit like Hermione, getting turned on by swear words. Bahahah. Oh well, I love it fairly much and I do very much hope you will continue.

There were great little one-liners throughout this. Quite entertaining. The stag party was a laugh, and Hermione's being upset was definitely valid. It was so nice to see Severus actually trying after he realized just what a giant jerk he'd been. That's the kind of guy we all want, right?

The string of swear words is from 'Love Actually'. It's said by Bill Nighy at the very first when their trying to record the Christmas song. AR plays the husband of Emma Thompson, who wants to have a fling w/ his assistant. The other is "Something vexes thee?" from 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' It's said by the old witch woman when AR comes into her rooms throwing things and making making a mess. He plays the Sheriff of Knottingham. =] Thanks for asking!

So, this was a lovely story overall, charming, fluffy not overly so, and Severus was a dear. But I do have to object to your treatment of the transgendered prostitutes. People really hate being called she-males, and it's rather disrespectful to their identity to use 'his/her' as a pronoun. Generally, when someone presents as a gender by choice, even if it's not the one they were given at birth, one uses the corresponding pronoun. Hence, these feminine-identified dancers would usually be called transwomen, and would use feminine pronouns (for example: she/her).Just saying.Future reference, if it comes up again.I didn't mean to lecture-really, I swear. I did love the story, aside from this one little thing. Especially the proposal-it was rather priceless.

I'm so sorry to have offended you. The story of the hiring of entertainment for a stag night comes from a friend of mine. Some of them were just actual 'drag queens', some had gone thru surgery or were in process. The terms that I used came from the frustration that those attending the party felt at 'what you see' not actually being what you get. I spoke with a friend of my who is a female impersonation artist. He said that yes, it's negative to say she-males, but that a straight man would make a comment like that, in that situation. It's only meant to be Severus' internal monlogue expressing his frustration at the what had happened. This is not a statement of my politics, nor am I trying to say that such things are inappropriate only that in this instance, Severus was not pleased with the misunderstanding with his party's entertainment. Thank you for the comments. I really appreicate you takin the time to explain your point of view. I will go back and see if I can be more sensitive. Again, I was trying to convey how the typical 'straight bloke' might feel in that instance. Thanks also for your lovely compliments. I'm glad you've enjoyed it, for the most part.
