I'm so glad yoou noticed and agree with me. I love that photo of that scene. It's also one of the few of Severus and Hermione close :) Your right it was a huge clue. After HBP my friend said, "Give up on Snape he's gone to the bad side. I told her I don't think so." LOL who was right haha.

Thanks so much. I think they have gone slow enough, but yet this story takes place so quickly in real time. LOL It only seems long to me becasue its been months since I wrote it. I think Hermione always wanted to be a Potions mistress but she could not commite to one because it wasn't Severus.

Wizards live a long time. Don't you think at least 20 years sounds resonable. I think he also wanted to bnd her to him for 20 years so that he has time to get up the nerve to tell her how he feels. Maybe he hasn't admitted as much to himself yet. I like slow too :)Thanks so much

IF Severus apprentishiped himself to a Master for 20 years, he wouldn't have been free to be professor of Potions at Hogwarts? at least until he was 39 or so. I was surprised, but I took it as a sure way for him to have her around for that long. Talk about needing time to pluck up the nerve! LOL  Sorry, no feather ruffling intended.

Im so glad you like the story. I'm a rather romantic person. I'm a Christian and none of my family will read my Fan Fiction. They have no idea what it means to me. They think HP is evil. I find it just good fun and I agree there are mirrors there to some Christian ideas. I think the Severus we see on the screen is an actor, Severus being the hated Potions master. Severus the deatheater and spy. Severus probably doesn't even know who he is himself. He has to want more than that life. I am giving him a chnace to be the man he was always meant to be :)

How lovely to find someone with the same beliefs as me who is also willing to read/write HP!  I guessed you were a Christian from the way you write and also a true romantic - that comes across too.  We are clearly like-minded!I'm sorry that your family don't read your work; mine don't either but, then again, in my case I've asked them not to, mainly because of my 'obsession' with SS/Alan Rickman which I try to keep under wraps as I don't think they would consider it 'normal' for a 46-year-old woman!!I avoided the whole HP thing for many years as it didn't seem right to me (although I had read the first book which I bought for my eldest son when he was about 10 and thought how lovely it was to read such a good, 'old-fashioned', descriptive author!)  Then, quite by chance, I saw the first film on TV a couple of Christmases ago and decided to buy the others which I watched back to back whilst convalesing from an operation.  (I then went on to buy/read all of the HP books with my youngest son - gradually working our way through them over the last couple of years!) Without warning or reason, just by watching him on the screen, I literally 'fell in love' with Alan Rickman (to this day I still don't know why or where that came from!) and ended up buying almost every one of his films (mostly from Amazon!) and 'obsessing' over him.  He is such a lovely man in real life I think I somehow felt that this justified my involvment in HP; having said that, there are many films of his that I don't like or don't approve of but that doesn't stop me liking and admiring him.  To now be able to read/write fanfiction about SS in particular is, I think, some sort of release for many of us and, as you say, gives him a chance to be the man he was always meant to be. Sorry for droning on - just nice sometimes to share these things with other like-minded people! :-)
