Can you apparate with an owl? I don't think anyone ever did in canon?  Severus' remarks about being freed were good. His remarks about her going shopping was funny.Hermione was remarkably clever and quick with her shopping. I hope Molly doesn't realize she's in the vincintiy of Hogsmeade by the identy of the post owl?

Really enjoy this story.  Looking forward to more.

I initially read the first two chapters of this story, but I wasn't sure I would enjoy it. But I was wrong. I like this story immensely. Severus and Hermione are both broken, and need each other to heal. Severus hasn't been with human contact in so long, and it's obvious he thirsts for it. Hermione is well-suited to him, so a relationship will definitely work between them. I can't wait to see what Severus has done. Obviously he's been a busy boy in the time Hermione was in Hogsmeade.

I wonder what Severus has done to suprise Hermione like that? Glad they are taking steps to heal his wound.

Now I wonder what she has bought for Severus?  And better yet, what has he done to the Shrieking Shack to cause such surprise in Hermione?I'm glad they can begin brewing the potion that will heal Severus' wound.  Who is the proprietor of the apothecary?  Can't wait for the next update!Beth

Only Hermione would think of returning that which was abandoned and forgotten. LOL  It's good that he gets out of the castle tomb.

SHe's right, there are things she'll need and hopefully find in the dormrooms. If Slytherin was undamaged, is Hufflepuff too?Her comment about waiting to move the bed, I think he read too much into that.

They both need the anchor that they see in the other. Nicely done, teh way he is starting to see hope for himself.

It's noce to see him reaching out for the little things that he needs. He's not so acerbic, which is  nice.

Aw, how heart breaking. what happened to his leg and arm? I understand the neck, but if Hermione can brew the potions that saved Arthur, them she can heal Severus.

What a broave thing to do, to enter a castle ruin. What a sad end to a glorious castle. And poor Severus, living alone in that ruin.

This is lovely, so sweet - just what I need right now!  I eagerly await each new update.  My only complaint being that the chapters are not long enough each time! :-)

Severus and Hermione have formed a very good relationship built on shared memories and mutual respect.  I'm glad they have found each other and are, hour by hour, helping to heal each other.I was surprised when Severus agreed to accompany her to the Shrieking Shack, but then it made sense to me when he explained that sometimes he would go there so he could walk around Hogsmeade when no one would notice him.  I can imagine that living all alone in the castle would become tiresome and a change of scenery for a few minutes would be needed.When they returned to Severus' rooms after having been to the Slytherin dormitory, I could understand Hermione's need to cry, and when she and Severus almost kissed I thought it was perfect.  It is still a bit too early for them to be able to share those kinds of emotions, but perhaps it was a glimpse not their future.Great update, Jeannie.  thanks!Beth
