I'm only two chapters in and I'm already hooked!! Poor Severus! He's a hero....yet he has been left for dead....forgotten by those he worked so hard to save! The imagery is wonderful....his long gray-streaked hair, the limp....the useless arm! I hope Hermione is able to help him! Love the story....can't wait to read more...and I shall....right now!

Harry cooking a stolen breakfast in a ruin of a castle. Love it. Oh, you paint the pain of nerves reawakening with firghtful clarity. I'm actually holdin gmy breath to see if the potion works. Well, sor t of - I do have to breathe.

Well written, although i would have liked to know if Severus's reaction was indicative of the potion working or not.

omg!  The pain must have been incredible to knock Severus unconscious.  Great chapter!  Loved Harry's larceny with the breakfast foods tremendously.  :D

I'm so glad that Harry and Severus had their talk.  It will make the transition of living in the castle to living in the wizarding world so much easier for Severus now that he has someone other than Hermione supporting him.  And the big day is tomorrow -- I'm hyperventilating!!!  :D

sheesh, that was rough.  I didn't like Snape calling Harry "son".  It seemed a bit unnatural somehow.  Of course I know Snape and Harry are a bit emotional so saying something awkward might not be completely off.  But it felt a bit weird.  Still I LOVE the story.  It is excellent.

I was afraid that the effects of the potion would be painful.  After all, it had been years since the injured nerves had functioned properly, if at all.  Thank goodness Severus had changed his mind about having Harry stay with them while the potion did it's work... or not.  I hope, hope, hope that it will work, but it seems that the price of recovery is horrible pain.You've left us with quite a cliffie, ebil author!  Please tell me you have the next chapter ready to post.  I will be wiating on the edge of my seat until I know what happens when Severus awakes.Once again you've given us a fabulous chapter guaranteed to cause the reader angst and keep this reader checking my email for update noticed!  Great work!Beth

Oh my, I am totally grateful for your quick update, but you better submit the next chapter just as quickly:-)) I am on the egde of my chair trying to scroll further down to see if there are some hidden text so I can read more:-))

*Biting fingernails nervously*Oh, I do hope Severus' pain ends quickly and that he is physically restored to the man he was. He deserves it after all he has suffered through the years. I'm so glad he asked Harry to stay to be with Hermione when he took the potion, it's bad enough as it is, at least she has someone to hold onto as Severus goes through this.

I'm so happy that Severus and Harry had those moments to talk frankly about the past.  Harry's admission to Severus that he knew how cruel his father had been to him was a big step... for both of them.  And I know it helped Harry when the Severus was able to tell him that his father had grown up when he was born.I love that Hermione and Severus have reached the point where he will no longer be afraid to return to the larger Wizarding world.  He has found love and acceptance and forgiveness, and can now look forward to a life with Hermione by his side and Harry's friendship.I don't know what you have in store for Severus tomorrow when he takes the potion, but whatever it is (and I do hope it works) I will be eagerly awaiting the next chapter!Well done, Jeannie.  Beth
