Age 59, I have been a Severus and Alan Rickman fan for a couple years. I post SS/HG stories.
I went to NY last week to see Seminar (Jan 4, 20012) It was wonderful.
Shades of Severus in his character and his house. I was priviledge to see Alan up close an personal after the play.

Thank you, I agree he got a huge raw deal from JKR. She made if give his entire life up for a single mistake and then he had to die for it too.
I really do hope that the potion does what they want it to and that he can return to a better than normal life. I know that they would be happy if he remained the same, and so would I to be honest. I want them both to be happy no matter what the outcome is because they deserve it.

Well I hope you will like the outcome. I'd love to know if anyone wants further adventures of these two. I'm thinking I finished this up too soon and left thigs unscripted. Maybe a series of stories called Snipits of FDLA...

Hermione and Severus are really good for each other, and I am glad that they and Harry know it.

gersknightlady you are wonderful.Your story has me hooked.It's great the Sev was able to finally let lose and cry.That will help him heal.So maybe Molly is just not controlling but really cares for Hermione.I love the way Harry and Hermione interact together.Great update and I can't wait for more.

Thank yoou so much, I'm so glad yoou are enjoying the story. I agree Molly maybe a huge nosey woman but shes always been motivated by concern and love. Over the eyars she has been like a mother to both Harry and Hermione in the wizarding world.
More ot come in a day or two.
Very emotional chapter, I think in the long run Severus having a good cry did more to heal him emotionally than anything else could.

Wonderful chapter! It looks like Harry will truly be an asset for our pair. Forgiveness can be a powerful emotional healing tool, and Severus deserves all the warm fuzzies he can get.As for Hermione showing up at Molly's door: I picture a mad hatter type Molly tossing a petrificus totalus at our poor heroine faster than you could say 'snitch', a hour of tearful ranting and then an explosion at the Burrow when Hermione broke free. (And that would have ruined your nice story and upset a whole bunch of us reviewers...so it's all for the best that it didn't happen). Well done! :D

I''m always amased at Severus breaking down and crying. But Hermione is tearing down the walls, and he's lerning to open up. I'm glad that Harry forgave him - but more so that Severus accepts it. I hope he can find a friendship there. Cute that they would wake Severus with their chatter - but didn't you say he was given Dreamless Sleep Potion? So how is it that he woke up? Unless Harry and Hermione were talking all night and into the morning?

It did say they had spent hours talking but I think I goofed later mentioning it was still night. It would have been maybe 3-5 in the morning.
Say he went to bed early 6-7 that should have given him enough hours to sleep. A blooper probably LOL.

I am so glad that Harry's arrival and the things he had to say to Severus made such a positive difference in the Potions master's life. With Hermione's love and support, and Harry's, Severus will weather whatever the future holds.And I am sooooooo glad that Harry is going to keep their secret. Thanks so much I'm glad you like my Harry, I hated all the bickering between them in the books, knowing what Snape was sacrificing made me so mad when Harry would attack him. No man throws themselves in front of a werewolf if he doesn't car about the kids, especially Snape :)

Well, I think there are only very few people who actually think "Oh, no, I am such an emotional cripple." Mind, it's obvious that he's got issues and if he's not traumatised in some way, I'd be very much surprised. But the slogan "emotional cripple" has become such a cliché in SS/HG fanfic. And it's really nothing I can see either of them thinking of -like that- ... it's so very "kitchen-sink psychology".
