I beg to differ. I know from many experiences of several close friends of mine that are college educated and highly intelligent who have gone through difficulties with experiencing sex for the first time. I don't think that Hermione is being childish, stupid, or naive for being insecure or unsure of herself when it comes to a brand-new experience. Especially when she never dated her husband before they married and has decided to have limited sexual experiences. No matter what her mum told her, it was Hermione's choice to remain a virgin.As to how a man would react to Hermione, I again know from experience that there are many decent men are out there who have been patient and gentle with their new wives and did not pressure them into intercourse until they were ready even though they were married. One of my closest friends never consummated the marriage until after their honeymoon. She said it was just too physically painful and as she couldn't relax. Her husband was patient, loving, and accepting. They have been married for over ten years now.Your review makes me feel sad for what might have made you feel so critical about Hermione's difficulties. I'm a bit baffled that your first reaction to criticism is to report it as a flame. I promise you that was not my intention. I find Hermione to be extremely unrealistic, in a story where originally that was not at all the case. I stand by what I said.

I have no issue with criticism when it is constructive. I found nothing helpful in your comments to where Hermione's character could be improved or where in your estimation she could be more realistic. There is nothing wrong with standing by your interpretation of Hermione's character. I do take offense at such a low rating where there is more to the story than just Hermione's reaction to the sexual experience. Nothing was said about anythig else regarding the story's plot. The criticism was pointed and not well-rounded. If you dislike the way I choose to mould a character, you can contact me personally. These public reviews are not to merely criticize where you feel a part of the plot is not working out. It is to be helpful to the author and point out ways where the story could be made to be better and to also encourage the author in where the plot is developing well.If this story is just not your cup of tea, that is fine and good. But to leave a deliberate low rating because you do not like my work is not constructive criticism nor is it helpful in any way.Headmistress's Response: The low rating was removed and changed to no rating at all.
