This chapter was both funny and sad, sad because Hermione is so inseccure about sleeping with Severus, and funny because she so wants to seduce him but has no clue.

yay Hermione is getting confidence in herself!  Even if it is quasi-jealously that drives her to it...lolI was worried at the start of the chapter, she had seemed to freeze up and I was wondering where you were taking her mental state...however you managed to turn things  around and show her gaining self-confidence -- the shopping scene was wonderful!  (What woman wouldn't love to have a helpful saleslady pick out the perfect outfit, with all the trimmings, for seduction?  Heck, I have enough trouble walking into any store and getting the attention of a salesclerk for any type of answer -- with the exception of shoe stores, where I can't seem to get rid of them...ok babbling, so shutting up!)Thank you for sharing this story!  Can't wait to read more!

Aww man!  I was hoping for lemons this chapter!  I loved the jealousy Hermione displayed, she may not know it herself yet but things are warming up nicely between them. 

Very good. Cannot wait for more. One question, however, were you trying for de Beauharnais as the last name? That was the maiden name of Empress Josephine. I have never seen it spelled any differently.

I applaud his self-control and think that Hermione needs to get on with things. Two weeks is a long time to explore and lie next to someone in bed without taking the next step. It's time for Hermione to become a woman. Great story!

Wow, Hermione's Mom really was cruel.  And that she believed all of that.  Severus really shouldn't have pushed that last bit, he probably terrified her. 

Poor girl, given such Bad Information by her mother! I know there are people with agendas like that... but it's such a disservice. Great chapter, thanks for the super quick update.

I, too, think Hermione's mother gave her some very ill-considered and extremely bad advice.  Shit happens.  She's a smart woman, and she'll figure it out... (with gentle encouragement from Severus. He's no fool.)However, I don't think what Severus told her — “Nevertheless, I warn you, do not take advantage of my giving nature in this area. Don’t play games with me just to see how long I can hold out. Remember, you are playing with fire. I do not want to burn you. You need to understand that given enough stimulation, he takes on a life of his own!” he said, gesturing to his penis. — was entirely uncalled for.  He could have used less "threatening" terms, but still, I have an appreciation for how patient he has been with his wife, and now to be so close and yet so far...  Hermione's lack of knowledge could cause problems if she weren't made aware of the realities of the human condition.  I'm not saying that his choice of words were the best for the circumstances, I'm just saying that I have a little pity for Severus, too.They seem to have handled the predatory witches pretty well so far, and I thought Severus' plea for Hermione not to leave him alone again in a similar situation was very sweet.  Their plan for having a friend "backup" Severus if Hermione had to leave him again for a few minutes was a great solution.After everything is said and done, Severus did get to enjoy having his wife's attention as "he came hard, his seed spilling all over her hand and splashed onto her stomach."  What we have here is an example of "progress, not perfection."  But very soon I'm sure they will have sufficient practice to be able to acheive the "perfection."This is such a sweet story, and I thank you for entertaining your readers so well!!!I can't wait for the LEMONS!!!  Yay!!!  Hooray for LEMONS!!!  I am shamelessly in favor of LEMONS!!!Beth

It's a pity that kind of twadel ever existed.  The line that Hermione's mother gave her is similiar to the line of crap that my gradmother gave my mom.  Although I do believe sex should be inside of marrage I don't think anyone should feel bad about sex that's it's dirty or whatever.

Yup I had a friend of mine in college tell me about how my roommate was with her boyfriend one weekend I wasn't there. Course the walls are thin and she yelled out "That's the spot" lol  People in the dorm started calling her spot and she couldnt' figure out why. *Giggles* I do love this chapter,I agree Severus did scare her but to be fair her mother started it. lol  Look forward to an update.

Hermione's mum should be smacked.  It's one thing to be repressed, it's quite another to ruin everybody else's sex life because of it!
