Who was Marlene McKinnon? An Auror, a member of the Order of the Phoenix, a powerful witch who was killed by Voldemort himself, along with her entire family. But before she was an Auror, before she joined the Order of the Phoenix, before she was married and had a child of her own, she was Lily Marlene McGonagall.

Thanks for the review!
That was cold to leave her there. Good chapter.
This gets more and more interesting. Keep going! I'll read every one.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
Thank you! I'm glad that you're enjoying the story!
OK, now this is really for Chapter 3 (sheesh!) Sigh.Poppy didn't see the flinch but maybe Alistor did???I'm stopping there - don't trust myself to go any further. You are doing a wonderful job!!!!!!!!!!!
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
Don't want to give the next chapter away!Thank you for your review - I'm glad that you're enjoying the story!
OK, Poppy didn't see her flinch, but I'm wondering if Moody did. Very interesting so far ... off to read Ch 3.:-)
Response from klschmidt (Reviewer)
Whoops - I think I reviewed the wrong chapter here. Need to go see if I already reviewed this one and put this one on Ch 3. (It's been a loooong weekend! haha)
Lucky for Minerva she saw Alestor in the alley! I wonder what would have happened if he had not been there. Was it Albus she saw in the Minister's office that made her react like that? Can't wait for more!!
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
I can't really say anything, as it will give away the next chapter and later parts of the story, but I promise that your questions will be answered soon. Thanks for your review!
Okay, the back story is starting to fill in nicely. I was surprised when Minerva just blurted out the truth, and even more surprised that Alastor would ask. Poppy, yes, she's both nurse and friend, but Alastor? But, having asked, I find it difficult to believe that someone as astute as Alastor Moody can't figure out who the father is!Perhaps he's just being discreet?Looking forward to more!
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
Well, Minerva's been through a rough time - she doesn't really believe that she's pregnant yet. And remember, Alastor was the one who brought her back to the Wizarding world - he was the one who was looking for her. That had a lot to do with her comfort level. And Alastor also doesn't give a lot away. That's all I can say or else I'll spoil the next chapter! Glad you're enjoying the story!
Oh, my! Poor Minerva! Pregnant? By Albus and he didn’t even care enough to follow up on her? He’d had best be injured or in a hospital! Thankfully Alastor was more a friend to her than Albus! Merlin’s balls that man. At least Minerva is home, safe, and will be taken care of.
Nice chapter, really emotional. Thank you for writing this prompt – I’m really looking forward to more.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
I'm glad you're enjoying the story - there are quite a few twists coming up in the story, though...Thanks for your review!
Wow - intense chapter. I'm glad that Minerva's back in Britain and back in the Wizarding world! Great chapter - I'm looking forward to the next one.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Reviewer)
I'm glad you liked the chapter! Thank you for your review!
Glad she's finally back where she should be...!
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
Me too! Thanks for your review!
Excellent! You have really made this your own, I mean that in a good sense. Poor Minerva! (didn't I say that in my last review?) You're really making it tough for her. She must make up with Dumbledore at some point, or she would hardly have gone to work for him.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
I'm glad that you like the story - I've been trying to keep it as original as I can. And I do feel bad about putting Minerva in so many tough situations - she is my favourite character! But what I love about her is that she always overcomes adversity.About making up with Dumbledore... well, we'll see...
I wonder why she was just left there, and the others taken away to safety? I hope Albus is just severly hurt and not being a prat about her.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
Part of your question will be explained in the next chapter, though not all of it.Thanks for your review!
Poor Minerva. To lose her entire familiy in one blow. Too terrible.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
I know - it is an awful way to lose your family. Thank you for reviewing!
Poor Minerva! And to be treated so - unless Albus was severly hurt and culdn't get to her either? The ues of English for the Germans was fine as I don't read German and you'd have to translate everything anyway! good read.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
I'm glad that you didn't mind me not using German - translation would have been tough, and I don't think I would have gotten the grammar right. You'll find out in later chapters why Albus did what he did. Thanks for the review!
Sheesh, that was pretty cold of Albus, wasn't it? I hope we'll learn that he was hurt or unconscious and not simply callous. Looking forward to more.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
We'll see...Thanks for your review!
Wonderful chapter. Looking forward to more. How old are all the children of this family? Are any of the boys old enough to marry? Huh, huh? :-)
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
Yes, all of the boys are old enough to marry . And Lisle is about 16.Thanks for your review!
Oh dear, now she has to heal the Muggle way.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
I've always felt that getting healed with magic isn't the best way for some injuries, especially life-changing ones, like losing a leg. It takes a while to adjust your mental mindset to the fact that you've been injured, and, especially if it's a permanent injury, I feel that you need some time to recover. In this case, Minerva needs to adjust to and heal the emotional scars left from the battle.Thank you for your review!
Poor Minerva! Left for dead, maybe. I think Albus and Alastor must be unconcious! I am looking forward to more of your story.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
Well, saying anything would give away a major part of the story, so I won't say anything.Thank you for your review!
oh, I hope, for Minerva's sake, that Albus was badly hurt and just couldn't go and find her. Otherwise, I don't think I'm going to like this story's Albus.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
I'm afraid that Albus's actions won't be explained until a bit later in the story! Thank you for your review.
Wow - poor Minerva. Why did they just abandon her? It's very lucky that the farmer found her. Great chapter - I'm very anxiously awaiting the next update!
Response from diana_hawthorne (Reviewer)
The next chapter explains part of the reason they abandoned her, though it's not fully explained until later chapters.I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter!
Interesting backstory for the two of them. I wonder why the others just left her there! :(
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
The next chapter goes into some depth about the reason why she was left there, but doesn't explain it fully.Thank you for your review!
Interesting beginning! I'm curious as to where this is going to go next.
Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)
Thank you!
Poor little kid. Nice chapter.
Well, that was a kick in the pants for Albus, wasn't it?
