woo hoo!  Love it.  Please don't abandon this story!!!

I'm trying to come up with words to describe my feelings.  This chapter is painful and I found myself quite tearful at times.  I'm glad there is some hope right at the end.  Well written.  Excellent story.  I'm finding it difficult to stop reading when I need to do other things.

I'm beginning to wonder if Ginny is pregnant . . .

Bitter words for Hermione to have to hear, but the truth nonetheless.  I am a chemist, and if you don't have an innate understanding of the behaviors of the various constituents in a compound you're trying to synthesize (e.g. a potion you are making to achieve a particular effect), you will created many mostly useless batches of crud.  The order in which you would add chemicals, the pressure and temperature that you would use at each stage are all going to effect the outcome of your work.  So it is with brewing potions.However, that being said, if the potion maker wannabe has a true desire to learn the art as well as the science that is potion making, continuing to brew potions with the eye of a researcher (even if they are crud in the beginning) will yield the understanding necessary to become an accomplished maker of potions.I think Hermione has the potential, she just lacks the courage to step outside her comfort zone.  She was very good at finding ways to get things done during the war, but she has always feared Professor Snape's disapproval.  Now she must find the courage to challenge him and his perception of her.A good beginning!Beth

it's almost too much to bear.  I want so much for Hermione to succeed.  I'm totally sucked in by this story.  Snape has suffered too much.  He suffered too much in the original stories without all these other details.  I don't know how JKR misunderstands why some of us are drawn to him.  He needs SOMEONE to give a crap!

Excellent story.  I must read more!

What's happening in the side-plots here?
Lav is shocking Ron expressing a mere wish to learn? This doesn't sound too promissing for their relationship!
Harry and Ginny plan on very different timing, oh my! I'm not so fond of this superficial Ginny you picture, so I'd say Harry is right, but still: Molly's different measures are inacceptable!
Accompanying these two couples should help Hermione define a timeline for herself. But first, of course, there's the Potions exam. Then a reluctant, shy, but very worthy Potions master to convince.

Yes, good for Hermione. I like how your Severus' appearance is changing as his health improves. I'm glad he sees the woman Hermione is and will become. Lovely chapter, I enjoyed reading it.

You are an incredible writer. I could literally feel Hermione's tension and anticipation throughout the entire scene with Severus. My throat tightened (this happens when I'm nervous) and I got butterflies during their conversation. I was completely and utterly within the story and it's been so long since I've read anything that would cause that strong of a reaction in me. (other than perhaps some *cough* lemony stuff) I so look forward to your next update and I'm not sure what to do with myself until then.

Bad Winky!  Go away!  Loved this chapter.  I love a good SS/HG story no matter how they come together, but I can't help but feel that if it were to really happen, this is exactly how it would go.  Very realistic and enjoyable, every moment.

At last he sees her as a woman, not just a schoolgirl! :)

This is such a wonderful story. So much angst, so much UST. I was breathless until Winky interrupted. Oh well...

At least she knows that he puts her in a different catagory than before. That's a start.

Hermione, beware Lavenders bearing free gifts, lol. I had forgotten about Hermione's weight gain. Ginny isn't quite acting right. It sounds as if she is pushing Harry into a quick marriage. Can't wait to see what happens next, I enjoyed the chapter, it was wonderful.

Wonder what Severus would think about the idea?
