A dreamy realist, with a heart for bookish witches and ill-tempered wizards.

Awww, I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to see your reaction to each chapter with each review. Thank you, thank you so much, Beth. I am going to respond to them in the order as I have received, although I am a little late :))) Btw, the next chapter is off to the first beta :))) ~Sel.
This was truly beautifully written at the end. Loved Severus' gentleness and Hermione's thoughts. As for voldie, well, we know he's a jerk, but I liked your take on that scene.
Response from selinabln (Author of On the Edge of the Night)
Oh, I am so glad you liked the Voldie-scene, because he is really one to give me pains to write *sigh*Thank you so much for your lovely review. ~Sel.
The wheels are in motion to get Severus into the Headmaster's position. Ah, but we know it will almost break Severus to get there. :-( And the love affair continues....Dumbledore is aware and watching carefully, but unless Severus comes up with a story quickly, Voldybutt just may use the memory of those eyes against him.

Thank you so much for your review :)) I am really glad you liked the chapter. Next installment on its way and off to the betas. ~Sel.
Yeay! Another meaty chapter.Such angst; such gut wrenching fear. Good thing Snape was thinking clearly enough to throw the "Headmaster Snape" memory up for Voldemort to view. If he ever found out even a hint of Snape's feelings for Hermione, they would both be gonners. I love how you give us both of their perspectives. We know their thought processes and what's in their hearts.I can hardly wait to see what's in that prophecy about Snape. I'm sure the "?" will turn out to be Hermione.
Response from selinabln (Author of On the Edge of the Night)
Thank you so much for your review :))Well, the "?" *g* You do know that I can't say anything about it, right? But I think Hermione has already some ideas about it, we all find out about soon ;)))~Sel.
Another great chapter! I am anxious to know exactly what this prophecy about Professor Snape entails. And what does Dumbledore know of their relationship? Of course we don't actually know the nature of their relationship, either. They are friendly, more so than the average student and professor, but there seems to be something brewing under the surface. Looking forward to more. Thanks for such a nice long chapter

Thank you :)) Well, I think it is hard to give the kind of "relationship" they have formed the right name at the moment... They most of all have come to care for each other in the sense that they worry for the other, which is definitely something more than the average student-teacher relationship ;)) ~ Sel.
I was going to read this again. It's such a compelling story. It it says it's. It complete. I'd remembered and checked. Will it ever be finished?
I have bookmarked this and am eagerly awaiting the next installment. :)
Wow. This story just keeps getting better and better. :) I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. I can't believe you plan on going all the way through to book seven. There's so much more to go! I would feel so much pressure to continue on. As a reader I am more than estatic about the possibility of having this story go on for that long length of time. I love slow, drawn out stories where the relationships really take their time to mature. And this story has that written all over it. Squee. :)
I really like your Snape in this story. I think you captured his character really well. The things he has been saying or thinking to himself feel like they're his words and thoughts. Some people go way off into OCC land and then at that point I usually stop reading. LOL. No worries here, though, I think I'm going to like this! :)
No matter when this story is read, it remains a compelling and beautiful narrative of a potentially great HGSS, thank you!
Great chapter!
Interesting snipett with Minerva and Albus at the end there. Good to see they're going to wait and watch before butting in.
Simply scrumptious...I just adore this story...
I am so loving this story! I think your tone and the characterization of both Granger and Snape is just perefect.
I can't wait for the next chapter!
Oh, love it.
Just enough of his feelings surfaced to let her know. Nicely done. :)
Great Chapter pulled at my heartstrings! Oooh exciting tease at the end. Will we get to hear the other 2 prophecies?
Well, your muse knew just what she was doing because the chapter is perfect, just as it is. I love your Severus and Hemione and their subtle yet intense friendship. There were lots of little moments throughout that I swore I was going to remember and point out, but I got so lost in the story that don't now recall what they were. Suffice it to say that this was another fantastic chapter, and I can't wait for the next installment!
Another lovely chapter. This story is so engaging and tender. I llike how you are weaving canon into the new world you are creating. I can't wait to see where you take us.
Hi! I have not reviewed any of the stories I have been following for a while, but this chapter has been the impetus I needed. This story is really pleasurable to read and I absolutely love the way you are spinning your own text within some of the structures of canon. The relationship you have developing between hermione and severus is really interesting and I cannot wait to watch it unfold further. The end of this chapter, of course, also left me salivating for more! keep up the good work!
this chapter was so beatifull. I love your Severus and Hermione
Wow! Just - - - wow!
Selina:
I haven't reviewed for a while, not because I don't still love your story with all my heart, but because each chapter simply leaves me...speechless.
You have distilled Severus' and Hermione's emotions into such pure, concentrated essences that, when I reach the end of each chapter, I have to sit back a while and simply take it all in.
She has become "important" to him.
And he--and his well-being--have become VERY important to her.
I can't wait for the moment when each of them -- in spite of themselves--starts calling it what it is.
But I can wait for you to take us there--in your own time and in your masterful way. I look forward to the journey.
Ohh, poor Snape. I know there is a lot more pain to come. This is a very good story. I look forward to future chapters!
