Reviews for Across the Anvil
Another lovely chapter. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Snape is really working it, isn't he?
I sigh everytime he calls her "Parker". I just can't get over what a great name that is!
I am glad that Neville isn't in love with Hermione and that he still has time to marry someone else. I am guessing Abby is Hannah Abbot. I wonder what she's up to and why Neville loves her from afar.I am now definitely curious why Severus pushed Hermione away if he was looking into her activities for the past four years. This Severus is so sexy and mysterious.
I love all your stories, and seeing Neville in more of the forefront always makes me smile. But...Where's 'the love ou take'? I'm soon to go to the hospital with my son and alas, can't enter ANY of the fanfic sites from the hospital computer. They have such a hard time with the 'M' ratings :P!Ah, well, both of these stories will be something for me to look forward to when I get home then!
"He eased toward her again, for she drew him, like a bee to an exotic blossom"This is the most perfect sentence in the whole chapter. Or it could be talking about us. I am the worker bee and you are the exotic author blossom. Either way it works. I was thinking Blue Moon Investigations was from Moon Lighting. Remember Sybill Shepard and Bruce Willis avec hair?
yay! another chapter, and it keeps getting better! several good laughs, and lots of drama! angry hermione socking him in the jaw - well, it's a start, anyway! i'm interested to see what the story is with neville and the marriage (of convenience, maybe?). mostly, i'm looking forward to seeing severus fight for her, and as i said, her making him WORK for it. anyway, i know you will do the whole thing justice. you always do.
Hello Subversa,Algie? Kelp? I was groaning even before Severus said "what's the difference?" I haven't reviewed your stuff before, so I just want to tell you that you've given me many hours of pleasure with your work. I especially liked the Master of Enchantment series -- and the "alarming" kittens were a fave. Finally, I totally agree with Sampdoria. If were there I'd hex Severus myself. Just who does he think he is? I hope Hermione gives him what he deserves before they come to an understanding. He can't get away with being so high handed.RR
A great chapter (as always). I still haven't forgiven Severus and I hope Hermione won't any time soon either, what he said when he left was just to cruel, and let us not forget that he left and stayed away for years until it suited him to return. While Neville obviously also needs to see the end of Hermiones wand, and feel her anger, I can't help but want to inflict several levels of pain on Severus. Why should she accept that he want's to figth for her now? He treated her worse than a whore when he left, and he left, not Hermione, but him. Nope, still angry at him. I love Severus, but I still want him to hurt so bad...
Purely lovely. My favorite part is the blanket invitation to the Order members. What does it say that she doesn't think of him as being in the Order? I actually gasped. So different from the norm. I love it.
I love this sneaky Severus. It will be interesting to see what is really up with Neville. Looking forward to see what comes next.
*Kelp, Algie* Bwahahahahaha! You never let us down, great story BTW. Next chapter please
Oh, what a great nickname! I spent a moment trying to figure out how you would have reached it before I read your explanation. I love it!
i don't know how i missed that you had posted a second chapter to this story. and what a chapter! very exciting interactions here. i do wonder why he was so nasty to her before. i mean, of course i don't expect him to be all sugar and spice, but that was vicious. i look forward to finding out in future chapters what his motivation was, and like your other reviewers, i hope hermione makes him work for it and doesn't give in too easily, because that was so mean. and yet, despite all that, he is still so damn sexy. grrr.
This is awesome! *giggles*
Oh my! Lucky Shug!
Severus had better have a good reason for not contacting Hermione for six years. Otherwise, she should definitely give him what-for. He was obviously trying to push her away with his comment of buying a proper shag. The real question will be why he wanted to push her away. Perhaps it has something to do with the job he obtained? Hopefully Neville is not too crushed if Hermione breaks her engagement with him. Unless, of course, your version of Neville is a jerk (though whose ever is?).
love it, i'm hooked.
OH NO what has happened to Neville? Why is Snape back on the eve of her wedding? Oh I have a million questions which you will NOT answer. Next chapter please
So dastardly devilish, that one. Update soon!
Brilliant!
While I must admit that I see Neville as suitable for Hermione as I think Ron is, and I absolutely hate that pairing, I am not to fond of Severus either so far. While I love it when he must put up a figth to get her, it is obvious that he don't think he should have to figth at all so far in this story. He has done his very best to hurt her as much as possible in the past, and he has waited until it is nearly to late to try and "win" her back. His "chuckle" while asking if the words still stung makes me think of a man who have absolutely no regret about hurting her in the past, he aimed to hurt, but had absolutely no care if he did, leading me to think he would just as easily do it again if it suits him. He acts like a boy who have thrown away an old toy, but when he finds that someone else wants to play with it, he wants it back, not to start playing with it again, but to throw it even further away so noone else would thouch the toy he don't find any value in anymore. While I think neither of us who likes Severus will like to see him portraited like a stottering Huffelpuff, that just won't be him, I don't think Hermione should forgive him anytime soon. I love the Hermione-character, and she and Severeus is my favourite pairing, but she deserves better than this: I really think this Severus should have to eat a whole lot of humble pies and make a couple of unbreakable vowes before she should even consider letting him into her life again.
Update again soon, and keep Hermione strong:-))
He's got a nerve! But I think I can translate Snape now. She tentatively suggests weekend visits. He is insulted and thinks she doesn't care for him as much as he does for her and cuts her to the quick with the "pay for a proper shag" quip because he's so hurt.Okay, so even if I'm totally right or wrong or in the middle. Severus Snape is still the King of dirty pool, and I'm loving every minute of it! Just as long as Hermione gets some bitch slaps in there- because he deserves it!Good work!
I wonder who the real groom is and why Hermione is planning on marrying him. Hopefully Severus can set her straight on the matter. I am curious as to why a piece of parchment would then look like a black box. Some sort of magic. Obviously Hermione probably does not expect Severus at her wedding. I am eager to see the surprises he has in store.
*rubs palms together evilly with a cackle* Can't wait to see what our sneaky, serpentine anti-hero has gotten himself into this time...
