The sad moment when star crossed lovers realize their stars are crossed the wrong way. Can this be fixed? I have faith in a Subversa story.
A full week of festivities and heaps of guests, was never going to be a wedding Sevrus was involved in was it ?? LOL :)
"That girl was hell on freshly ironed clothes." Great line, and a lovely, Brigadoonish ending (though of course it begs if not a sequel, then at least the honeymoon!). And I do like the fact that she wasn't so easily won back, despite all the evidence that he has, in fact, learned from his loss and changed accordingly. Glad he seems willing to spend a lifetime proving it! Thanks for the treat.
ah, just wonderful. i had forgotten all about the other woman, but of course, you hadn't. i also loved the magic anvil place, and i loved that severus went for forever and a day, even while offering hermione just the year and a day option. but my absolute favorite thing was this line: "I’ll be an arse and act like a fool sometimes, but I will make it my life’s endeavour to deserve you, Parker." i think that is the all-time best vow ever. seriously, what more could a girl want? oh, except for someone who loves her bushy hair just the way it is, and she gets that too. lucky hermione. lucky severus. lucky Sshg316 for getting such a lovely birthday present. and lucky me for getting to come along for the ride! thanks, as ever.
Awwww this is just all sorts of wonderful. Thank heavens Severus’ owl reached Hannah in time. Whew! I was getting a tad worried. I wonder if Neville convinced Hannah to get married at Gretna Green?
I very much enjoyed the Anvil wedding shop. Was the smithy supposed to be Jerry?
Thanks for sharing Shug’s birthday present with the rest of the fan girls!
Wow, that was such a beautiful story (of course it was, it was written by you...). I enjoyed it tremendously and I can't wait for the next ride you take us on (I'm always one for sequels *hinthint*).Great work!!!!gab
That was utterly delightful! I've been needing a break from the angst I've been writing, and that was perfect.
Severus Snape quotes a Kenny Rogers song. That has to be a FF first. Somebody make Subversa a banner!!
Know when to hold ‘em
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
Can’t Hermione nip out and unearth a witch Neville can live happily ever after with so she can ditch him guilt free?
I'd love to know what the silly wedding the roommate is planning is... I've heard of some positively ridiculous weddings before. I love your ending, particularly "Abby". Severus was lucky to get enough of Neville's confidence to figur eout who she was. Most wouldn't have thought to take "Abby" from "Hannah Abbot".
It all comes together. You filled all of the blank spaces nicely. I love the idea of Severus going to a therapist. With the life he's led, he would need it badly. His plan to rehabilitate himself hit a deadline he wasn't expecting. No wonder he's pushing Neville to go find his Abby.Bergamot is the perfect choice of a scent for Severus.
I liked your story very much! Maybe it was a bit predictable (wasn't too hard to guess that "Abby" would make an appearance and save the day) but I don't mind that. Great fluffiness and imaginativeness. "Whose life was this? He wasn’t supposed to get everything he wanted—he was Severus Snape!" - Great line!Thank you.
When has Harry ever respected the privacy of others? Snape may be giving him more credit than he deserves. I eagerly await the revelation of how they got together in the first place and why he waited this long to come back into her life.
what a wonderful story i just finished it to here i started it last night this is getting intresting i cant wait to se what happens next thank uoi
"The owl he had sent off to the continent earlier in the week had borne no fruit—and it had been his last hope." An attempt to find the elusive Abby, perhaps? Ah, if everybody could just read minds...do what I want you to do, not what I told you to do!
cruel author! leaving us on tenterhooks to know if she gets to him in time or not. i guess drawing out the suspense is good.
you made me laugh out loud with hermione's thoughts: "He was going to take her at her word and withdraw, as a gentleman would do. How could he?" why does he decide to do the gentlemanly thing at the worst possible moment! geez, boys can be so dumb sometimes.
as always, i am eager for more.

"How could he?"LOL! I'm glad you enjoyed that! I don't know why he has to have an attack of chivalry just when she needs for him to be a knave and a scoundrel. As you say:BOYS CAN BE SO DUMB!!!!!!!!!
Yay! Severus finally goes to the therapist. I think that should be a challenge, though I doubt its popularity would grow to the levels of the MLC. But really, there are few things in this fictive world that Severus needs more, lack of a dark lord being perhaps only slightly greater. I would like to see several hundred fic exploring Sev going to a therapist, and then seeking out a relationship with Ms. Granger afterwards. Hm. Yes. That is what I would like. At any rate, thank you for a Severus In Therapy.

You're very welcome! I don't know how many authors have much of an acquaintance with therapy, but I imagine several could write terrific stories about it. Thanks so much for the note - I'm glad you like it!
He's trying very hard to be irresistable. Why? If he could dump her and ignore her, why would he interfere now? So he could dump her again and humiliate her?
You clever author. You really surprised me with that twist at the end.
Just wanted to say it's fantastic...

Thanks so much for the note - I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Hey Subversa.... just started reading this morning. I don't know if it's my browser, but I think perhaps the formatting is a bit off? It seems too wide... I'm using Mozilla Firefox if that makes any difference. That aside, it's a wonderful story, and definitly a good little jaunt into Severus/Hermione land while I wait for the next installation of TLYT :)
I can't wait to see how this plays out.
Response from Subversa (Author of Across the Anvil)
You'll soon see! Thanks for the note!
Love this tense ending - he's leaving, she's changed her mind... will they get to each other in time... :) Looking forward to reading the next one.

! More to come very soon!
What a pretty little mess and a lovely cliffhanger you've left us at in this chapter. And I'm still feeling as conflicted as Hermione, darn you, author!
Response from Subversa (Author of Across the Anvil)
"Pretty Little Mess" - I may have to steal that for a story title! I'm sorry for the conflicted feelings, though. Resolution is on the way!
so frustrating but so good! Glad Hermione finally decided not to marry neville, it would have been so unfair to both of them. Though if I were her, I would have gone off with severus the moment he appeared...
Response from Subversa (Author of Across the Anvil)
Oh, me too, Kizzzy - I woulda run off with him the moment he showed up! Thanks for the note!
