Reviews for The First Faint Glimmer
A line that made me giggle:Just don't try too hard, will you, dear? You know you can be somewhat overbearing, even with the best of intentions.
This made me laugh: They got married, but he died later. I think more stuff happened but that's all I know 'bout it, anyway.
Really liked this line: Damned creepy literary parallels.
i'm so happy to see an update to this one! and what an update. so much difficult emotional stuff underneath the surface just begging to be let out. it is promising that snape was able to respond to her in a more human fashion at the end, instead of just keeping everything under such fierce control. i really look forward to the next.
He is starting to feel empathy for Hermione, but I don't think he even realizes it.
That chapter seems to really reflect your title. That is truly a faint glimmer. A glimmer of what, I'm not too sure, but a glimmer nonetheless.
He seems to want to do the right thing at the end at least. Something about her has triggered a response.
This chapter made me feel sorry for Severus, his emotional range appears so ...limited. Hopefully time with Hermione will do him some good.
Oh I am soooo glad to see this updated! My heart breaks for Severus he keeps so much bottled up inside and Hermione she is only trying to help but, he has seen so little human kindness he knows not what to do. Hopefully this reaching out (literally) will help to disemble his walls. Well worth the wait. Irish
Well, frankly, I thought Jafar was awesome. I also like Squidward and Oscar the Grouch. One might think I had a 'thing' for misanthropic sarcastic dark wizards with large noses, or something. *cough*
I liked this chapter, I do agree Severus would feel like he decended into hell if he were at a toy store during the Christmas Holidays.
I'm really enjoying this little story. You have a good easy to follow flow and writing style.
I love Hermione's sister, and somehow I think when Severus is a bit less overwhelmed he will too. He will also most like;y get information from her.
I love how you are weaving christins symbolism and Rome's history into this story. It gives a bit more meat into the chapter.
I had to laugh at some of Severus's comments especially the one comparing his situation of Albus sending people to him like Christians to the lions.......too funny! :D
Good start, and it's nice to know that it is already done.
I like seeing Mrs Granger as an intelligent and insightful woman
lol this will be fun , a little girl with no pre-conceived ideas about Severus.
Severus and the Creeveys... doesn't bear thinking about, does it?
I remember Anne of Green Gables , but it was so many years ago that I read it as a child, the title is about all I can recall LOL!
Hermione has good taste as well as a brian, Bowie is cool! I went to one of his Glass Spider concerts in 1986, it was amazing!
well my kids like metallica so thats a start, I'll stick with Bowie!
This is quite interesting, actually. Christmas shopping is quite maddening.
I cannot believe he left her in the store - Severus does not have as much control over his emotions. He got nothing for the child and he left her in Loudon....I hope he goes back.
another great chapter, from the beginning, with him fingering his wand on the underground while no doubt contemplating what he would like to do to all those annoying people, through to the ending where we get a glimpse of the emotional trauma inflicted on poor child severus. i do wonder how long it will take hermione to give up on him, assuming he doesn't come back.
