Some people believe that love is an amazing gift while others feel that it is the worst curse to befall them. The course of true love never did run smooth. Of course, Hermione could always blame sexually charged teenage witches, Divination and Valentine's Day.

Reviews for The Curse of True Love
No! I just read the story and realized it's not finished and evidently you haven't worked on it in eight months. You need to finish this! It's so good and I need to know what happens.
you need to finish this! I want to read more!
What an entertaining story!!! Do you plan to post new chapters? Please don't tell me that you have had to stop working on this, it really is a great read!Beth
*gasp* How did I miss this story before?
I absolutely love this! The thought that no charm or item can cover the name on her hands is wonderful. I think it is very clever that the charm Lavender made up was for a marriage bond. Well done, and I hope there is an update soon!
This is so well done! I'm eager for more. I like how you've created the inadvertant binding and interested to see where they go with it!
*stops reading, reluctantly, to stop for a moment to say... OMG, this story is fabulous... before continuing onward... :D
Ohohoho~ This is getting good. :D Can't wait for another update, cheers!
Oh what a unique twist to fated love. It is rather humorous that you have Lavender creating the spell. What will Snape do with the knowledge? Well done! Irish

:) Well, the next chapter is with my betas, so hopefully you'll have an answer or two very soon. Thank you.

Hermione was right to resent that spell... now look where it got her *grin*.
Nice story, I'm curious what's going to become of it.
Author's Response:
Oh, of course she'd resent it. Poor girl. :) Thank you
I always know I'm going to love anything you write, m'dear, and this one is no exception! Please don't leave me in suspense long!
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
Oh, thank you!!! :) Next chapter is with betas...
Evil cliffhanger!
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
I know... I'm terribly mean. I'm sorry! Next chapter should be up in the next couple of dayss. :)

What a hilarious progression of events in this chapter (at least Hermione has the support of Ginny...), and what a lovely little cliffhanger at the end! Update soonest!
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
:D Thank you, I'm glad that you find this humourous. Next chapter will be up very soon. Promise!

Poor Hermione can't even remove her gloves to eat, which is how we Muggles in the US do it. One never eats with gloves on. Oh, how dreadful that she had to commit such a faux paux, and then discover it was all for naught! Heehee
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
Well, the glove issue is addressed in the next chapter... a terribe faux pas, the poor girl. Thank you!

Poor Hermione. She's just having no luck at all, is she? ^_~
Really liking this. Looking forward to seeing Snape's reaction.
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
No, she not.
~laughs evily~
Thanks!

Yikes - the bubbling feeling is kind of creepy - It made me itch just thinking about it. Poor Hermione - just as she is about to run - low and behold - she runs into Severus
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
LOL! It would itch terribly, wouldn't it? Well, he had to make another appearance... Thanks!

Hee. I love the fact that Hermione is trying to deal with this. And there seems to be no way around Lavender's little spell.
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
:) Thank you! Lavender didn't really know what she was doing, which, of course means that there can be some dire consequences...

Lovely update, I am totally hooked on this story. I wonder how long Severus was standing behind her, and how much he saw....
Update again soon

I saw the second chapter was up on this site.
It figuires the gloves would have changed just because Snape showed up.
What does Dumbledore know? Did he help the gloves counteract the coverup?
Poor Hermione.
Now what?
Better hurry up witch!...
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
:) I'm working on it. I'm working on it! LOL! And you'll slowly begin to get some answers, I promise. Though it will likely be spoonfed rather than all tossed at you at once.
Response from pickles (Reviewer)
I guess it's okay to be spoon fed. It would be messy the other way.

Quite true, my dear. :)

I wonder what Dumbledore sensed when he patted Hermione's hand. It's rather strange that the writing went all the way through her gloves. Maybe she should put another layer over top? ;)
I feel quite certain that Severus was assigned to Hermione's table. Maybe Dumbledore had a little matchmaking of his own going on. Hopefully Severus doesn't embarrass Hermione too badly if he sees her gloves.
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
Magic is a strange thing. :) Sadly, I think that if she were to put on another layer, it would bleed through that as well... poor dear, no hiding from her fate.
Thanks. I'm working on the next chapter. :)

Hmm. I wonder what exactly will happen at midnight. I can't wait to see what.

My, my! That is one persistent little spell; isn't it?
"She respected and admired him, but it certainly wasn’t a crush and she hadn’t had any silly schoolgirl fantasies about him. Well, at least not in quite some time."
Hee! You just keep telling yourself that, Hermione. I wonder how Professor Snape will take the news that the only way to get rid of the writing is for her to snog him senseless. The things that poor man has to do for the greater good!
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
Oh, I know. Poor Put-upon Professor... to quote Deeble, I believe.
It's a very persistent little spell... poor Hermione... rather stupid on her part for participating, but I still feel rather sorry for her.

well, what an evil thing to do, stopping the chapter right before the confrontation between Hermione and Snape.
This chapter was fun, I could really see Hermione going crazy with anger. In her place, I would have hexed Lavender.
Update soon please
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
I know, it was terribly cruel. I am working on the next chapter, though. Promise. Thank you. :)

Oh, dear! The brightest witch of her age got sucked into performing a little known (and unresearched!) spell. Lavender will be lucky if she comes out of this alive. Now, why do I think Severus knows this little spell and recognizes the resulting writing? Hmmm. Perhaps he would be kind enough to lend Hermione those lovely fingerless gloves he wears to the Quidditch games. Very intriguing start...

Ooooh, tall man in black! Look out, Hermione :D This is such a cute, funny tale - looking forward to the next chapter!
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
Thank you! :) I'm glad that you're enjoying it.
I'm terribly curious to see Severus' reaction to this (if he IS the tall man in black). It's so like Lavender (what little we know of her) to try to craft a spell from two such unreliable sources, then actually be proud of the havoc she's wreaked.
Thanks for the update, hon!
Response from GinnyW (Author of The Curse of True Love)
Thanks for reading, sweetie! :) Severus will be in the next chapter.
