The MLC is a bit creepy, since it's based on the premise of Hermione being victimized, even if she does eventually overcome.  I too prefer a strong Hermione who doesn't allow herself to be victimized.  As does Severus, at least in my stories.  I'm glad I managed to make you enjoy a MLC story.

You have to assume that old sex magic that protects witches against rape can be reversed by the witch herself.  I didn't want to get into the mechanics of the charm, since it wasn't really relevant to the story, but I imagine it's something she can get rid of if she wants to, but can't be compelled to get rid of.  Maybe it has something to do with genuine affection and desire.

I'm not sure which of them came up with the charm.  Severus knows more Dark Arts, but it seems like Hermione's style to do the research into obscure spells that might help her out. But, Hermione would want to make a big public announcement to scare off potential suitors.  I'm very sure it was Severus who came up with the idea of setting a trap.
