After having read the posts on Potter place and MoTWF, I feel somehow compelled to leave a few lines!  You are such a good writer, I've been telling myself all along that you probably know everything I could think to tell you.  Beg pardon, miss!  I confess a sneaking adoration of fairy tales, sit-coms that do dream sequences based on fairy tales, and re-writes of fairy tales in modern (or even prehistoric) terms (See Dinorella, a Prehistoric Fairytale by Pamela Duncan Edwards and illus. by Henry Cole).  I'm also a sucker for musicals, and can sing at least the chorus of every song you used as chapter titles.  That's a very long way to say I enjoyed If the Shoe Fits very much, it was well written and entertaining, and I look forward to reading more of your work.  As always.

This has been an absolute joy to read, my dear! I never read it during the Exchange and I am so sorry I didn't. I love how you use the Cinderella template, and the bit with Albus' family being descended from fairy godmothers is just wonderful. This has been a delight, although this chapter admittedly frightened me, as I saw a parallel with a story I'm currently writing. The treatment HG receives at the hand of her superior is not too unlike the treatment I have Hermione's daughter receive at the hands of *her* superiors at St. Mungo's...*gets a bit chilly* Anyway, I'm off to LJ to find the Epilogue now. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.

Why exactly did Healer Sedgwick absolutely hate Hermione? Was the conversation between her and Severus supposed to mean that her husband was a death eater and she assumed Severus was one completely, as well?

 IMHO, the story is great but the "evil stepmother" bit that Healer Sedgwick is supposed to fill just doesn't really sit well.

Hope we get an update on Albus' cousin in the epilogue as well!

Oh I do hope he is off to give that evil woman just what she deserves! Gah... I love fics that have vengeance and revenge in them. XD
