Infractum Prosterno Ac Effligo! The object glowed a bright crimson. The space around it seeming to expand— that was the first sign that something was going wrong.
Curse-breaker Hermione finds that she needs help from someone who has considerable Dark Arts knowledge--will she ask Snape?

Well, as the decades catch up to me, I had to come change my bio, if for nothing more than to change my age. I discovered HP and fanfiction after the 5th book and was instantly drawn to Snape. I mainly ship HG/SS with my 2nd favorite ship being NL/LL, although I will write almost any (non-canon) pairing (ok, so I have been known to write a drabble or two with a canon pairing, but it doesn't mean I enjoyed it).

I think this story is intriguing! I don't often find story in which Hermione is a curse-breaker... I think it is a likely occupation for her! I also enjoy your Snape... he is mysterious and quiet but not cruel.... atleast not so far. I think this Snape and Hermione are very alike. Sorry for rambling! Great story and chappy... can't wait for more.Angel

Thank you. *g* The next chapter is in queue and the story is complete in seven chapters. The idea for Hermione being a curse-breaker goes to Timestep as this was written for her prompt in the HG/SS Summer Exchange, and it was fun to work with. And yes, Snape and Hermione are much more alike than either will admit. ;)
