If Severus survives the war (assuming that the good guys will win), in the immediate aftermath his life will be hell. Oh, he may be pardoned eventually, or even exonerated. He might manage to hide out until the charges are dropped. But there are going to be rough times. Nothing he can't handle; his life has always been pretty miserable. But. What if there aren't? How would Severus Snape respond to a world in which things go his way?

Reviews for A Good Day
Perfect, bless you for giving Severus one perfect day, and the hope of a bright future.
Lovely and sweet. Not usually words connected to SS fanfics :) I really liked it.
Haha! I love that he spent the latter half convinced he was hallucinating - it was rather sweet, really! Loved it :-)
Hahahaha, I love this! XD
Oh, I liked this.
How lovely to read a very happy story about the aftermath of the Battle of Hogwarts, no Azkaban, no ill treatment of Snape - just lovely and thank you for sharing this story.
Oh what a lovely universe you've built for our Severus. I think I'll buy a condo and move right in. :)
I absolutely loved this story! It is going into my favorites section stat!
Good!
One word - three letters: Y U M !
I've read this before but apparently never reviewed. so sorry for that because it certainly deserves a review and a glowing one at that.
Loved the ending you've written for Severus, I totally wish this were the ending JKR had given him. I think the thing I loved the most was the way they all closed ranks to protect him from Scrimgeour and the Ministry. He deserves protecting after all those years. :)
Lovely story, thanks so much for sharing it.
Definitely a better version than JKR's. Severus deserved all that and more. Thanks for sharing.
This is like a favourite top - I come back to this when the day is dull and I'm in need of a pick me up :)
I read this one before, but apparently didn't mark it read. I loved it then, and I love it now. How can you not enjoy him thinking he's dreaming, only to realize after the 2nd wild mating that it was real?
Nice job.
Here I am back again! I've finally decided to print out your story and insert it into my copy of The Deathly Hallows instead of the epilogue ...or maybe in place of everything that comes after Naginig's bite.

What, it isn't always there? It is in my copy! :D
Ha... I totally loved this! Good for Hermione, going for what she wanted..... I would have done too!
Great story!!
Great fun to read, very much enjoyed the fic. I like your take on Snape, snarkily in character, especially for a man who has unexpectedly escaped death and found himself with the woman of his dreams.Lovely, thanks!

I imagine it would take quite some time for Severus to adjust to a world where things are working for him instead of against him. His first response would have to be suspicious and snarky. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I love this story. It is the moment that Severus deserved...and absolutely could never have expected. I love:1) his conclusion that there must be some sort of gender-specific enchantment working on the women of the OOP2) Seamus Finnegan saying: "Tell my gram that I died happy...."3) The fact that you're not really dead, or an outcast, until you've been scratched off the coffee list! (That's how I would know that my life was over!)4) But for me the real payoff is that everyone realizes how much he has suffered and how little reward he has expected. Good on them all! And thanks to you too,

This is how DH should have ended, at least in my opinion. The coffee list is one of my favorite bits in this story; I'm thrilled that you liked it. I've always seen Seamus as a bit of a ham, so he was fun to write. Thank you for reviewing.

Oh, and 5) Finally he is being protected and defended by others. ....and I liked the black towel too. (They just thought he would appreciate BLACK .) Thanks again.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of A Good Day)
Oh, yes. Severus being protected for a change. No wonder he thinks he's hallucinating!

Great story. I liked how you made Snape struggle with the idea that everything might be fine, indeed, until he finally got his reward: a very good day (the first of many, one hopes).

Thank you. I can't imagine Severus taking good fortune easily. I'm with you in hoping he has many, many good days ahead.

*sighs* That is the REAL epilogue for DH. Great writing!

As far as I'm concerned, yes it is. I'm glad you liked it.

Okay. I had read this one before, but I'd forgotten how much I loved it. I love the political maneuvering of the Order and I love going through Severus' quite understandable disbelief. Beautiful! Beautiful! Thank you so much for writing it.

Another one of my cliche-twists. There are so many stories where Severus recovers, only to have horrible things happen to him. I wanted a morning after that went well for him. Thanks for taking the time to review, it's very much appreciated.
A gem of a story! Snape's inner monologue is funny and sad and Hermione's explanation of her feelings at the end is a relief--no cliche`d long-held love. I really enjoyed reading this!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of A Good Day)
Thank you so much! This is how I wanted the series to end for him. I like to pretend it did. :D
This is lovely. I faved it a while ago, but never reviewed (er, until now).
That said, what a great development of Snape, AND Hermione, I like to see the progression of his thought, and Hermione finally summoning the courage to approach him, makes one wonder how long it took her to get to that point.
I also appreciate your treatment of Snape's libido, yes rampant sex in times of stress is typically what one sees in literature and television, but I really do believe that the reality is much, much closer to what you've portrayed.
Thanks for a great story!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review! I always wonder about the people who fave, so it's a pleasure to hear from you.
Mad rutting seems to be a natural reaction to escaping from stress, in the aftermath of danger, as we try to reaffirm that we are alive. People under a lot of stress, not so much, but it's not as much fun to write about people not getting any. I'm hoping Severus will make up for lost time now!
Response from sc010f (Reviewer)
I agree, it's not so much fun to either write or be those folks under that amount of stress. I second your hope for Severus!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of A Good Day)
Part of the point of fanfic is to live vicariously through the characters. Maybe letting them have fun despite stress lets us believe we could?
I hope whatever your stresses are melt away quickly.
Why are you killing me with your amazing fiction? Everything you write is golden. Sorry I'm fangurling you to death. This was absolutely excellent. I laughed aloud multiple times and I might admit to crying a little bit once. Maybe. You write Severus in a way that seems very psychologically apt without being overdone. And the dry humor....ah. Thank you for this story. I feel better now that the right things have happened to him.

Please don't die! Should I stop writing? ;-P
Don't apologize, I'm a writer, we live to be fangurled. I'm really touched by your enthusiasm.
As far as I'm concerned, this IS how the books ended. Severus deserves it.
