I am 26 years old, recently married. I absolutely adore the world of Harry Potter, and love fanfics. My favourite pairing is SS/HG.
My husband doesn't understand it, but he accepts it (grudgingly!)

Wonderful !!!!!!

I really enjoyed reading your Vampire Tale. A most unusual story that was well written and moved along nicely from beginning to its end.
Many thanks for writing and sharing.
Yay for them! That was pretty neat. A lovely ending for them. Severus really was the hero, and it's great! I think I would've liked Severus' POV a little more, perhaps some description of how he felt kissing her or something. But it was brilliant in the end and I loved how she rescued him from his nightmare.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
I will remember to include a little more of his POV in future.Thank you so much for your review!
Response from WriterMerrin (Reviewer)
Well, I'm afraid I'm quite guilty of neglecting Snape's POV myself because I get so caught up in Hermione's, and because his mind is a scary place ;)
Oh, Oh, this is interesting! Wait – is Narcissa the vampire that bit Hermione? Can they save her too? Does she know who bit her? Would that work? They could take Lucius! Oh, what a intriguing story… What an interesting premise!
And I don’t even LIKE vampire stories!!!! Usually.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
I was contemplating saving Narcissa too, but the story was getting too long, and the deadline was looming.it may be an interesting idea for another one tho.
HIS own blood? I have a feeling that will not only effect the potion - but them as well! Ooooh.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Sneaky, sneaky, but I'm not telling!
Oh, this is juicy. I love how Severus had to work through his delima - and you wrote it so well.I could feel the wheels of his mind turn.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thank you. I really appreciate your review.
Oh, he found her! I do like how you describe things.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thank you so much.
Oh, my gosh! The personal reflection regarding the absent reflection in the mirror - very powerful. I usually avoid vampire stories... but this has a good start.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thank you so much. I really enjoyed writing it.
Lovely images of her and the mirror. Knowing from the summary what she was, it was fascinating to imagine the scenario of Hermione not being able to see herself, and the analytical part of her mind watching things move; I'd never thought of that before.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thank you.I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I loved this story! Hope you win, I'll try to vote, but I just got my pc back from the shop...

Got it yesterday g/f. I voted for you and wish you the best of luck. Even if you don't win keep writing, you do great work! *hugs*
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thank you so much. Your encouragement is amazing!
If you pardon the pathetic pun, this chapter was worth sinking my teeth into (acknowledges 'groans' of protest). Good chapter, nice flow and great pacing.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thank you so much.
Nice ending!
Narcissa being "truly evil" made the final choice so much easier, of course - I can't help but wonder what it would have been like for Severus and Hermione if Narcissa had turned out to be an innocent victim herself. But then, those two had been through enough - no need to add yet another burden on them.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
I was contemplating that they help Narcissa too, but then the story would be a bit long, and deadline was looming.Thank you so much for your continuous reviews. I have really appreciated them.I hope to start a new one soon.
Severus was so strong. The way he helped Hermione exterminate Narcissa--his speech--was inspired. What a nasty piece of work Narcissa was. Poor Lucius.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Yip, he will miss her, but I had to have a "bad guy"!Thank you so much for reveiwing.
Hm... female, probably pureblood, considering the insults, knows Hermione enough to recognise her - Narcissa might just be a good fit to all of that!
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thanks. What can I say, you are just too good!
Thanks for this tale.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Well, if the vampire is who I think she is, this complicates matters nicely!
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
I've always been partial to a few complications...
oooh. Does this mean that perhaps Narcissa is a vampire too?
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Uh, uh, uh! That would be telling.
I kinda see Hermione's "accident" as wishful thinking, that she was human again. If anyone can help her, it's Severus. They'll always be my OTP.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Well, that is what she wants most of all. I think you are right. She just "forgot".
well, it's not like Hogwarts hasn't been home to "dangerous creatures" before. Professor Lupin. . . What an equally frightening and fierce creature the other Hermione is. I only hope Snape can help her.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
If any one can help her, it would be Snape!
*heh* Snapey has compassion--he just calls it a need for "fame" and "recognition". Well played by Minerva; that was as manipulative as ol' Twinkle-eyes ever got.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
I like to think there may be a little bit of Dumbledore in the new Headmistriss!
Woot! Liking the twist that Vampirism puts on Hermione's character. Of course all the special warding would be like catnip to a practiced spy of Snape's caliber.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Yip. Dear old Snape was unable to resist.
I believe we now know where Narcissa is and who made Hermione a vampire. Lucius is going to be devastated.
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Oooooh!I so want to confirm or deny, but the last chapter will be up soon. Thanks for reviewing.
Intriguing beginning--I've always liked stories in which either Snape or Hermione was one of the undead. What will she do now? Feed from animals, but not people, or hunt down criminals?
Response from Shadow (Author of Walking in Darkness)
Thank you.Hmmm. I didnt think of her hunting down criminals!
the vampire is... Minevera! Jokes, I really have no Idea... mmmm
Well the only way for me to find out is if you update soon!
Cheers
