I have to apologize to everyone, period. Real life swallowed me whole, as I have been struggling to make a living writing original fiction over the last 8 years. It has not been easy, & has been complicated by health issues. I hope people can forgive my long silences. Trying to make enough money to live on from writing is a lot harder--waaaay harder--than it looks. (At least I didn't leave any posted fanfics unfinished.)
Anyhoo...
These stories are works of parody (& thus are allowable under US law), and are not written for profit. Just for fun. I'm not making any money off of any fanfics, nor will I ever. I'm just playing around in other writers' universes.
...I am, however, making something of a living off my own stories. (If anyone wants to play around in my universes, you may visit my website, www.jeanjohnson.net, and look up my policy on Fanfics & Fanarts. It's reasonable enough and fairly easy to follow, too...)

Hehe..that was nice.
hohoho......... that was fun. Thank you for another well written, humourous smut fest!
I'v read this story before, long ago, but never reviewed. I've made a New Year's resolution to be better about leaving feedback, so was glad to come across this fic again! This is a delightful story. It's sweet, funny and spicy hot. I truly laughed out loud at Dumbledore's reaction to the news of their marriage. Also, I thought this was a clever spin on the MLC. I wish more people had taken up this particular challenge.

It was like watching a movie in my head. Everyone was yelling at Severus and Hermione, shouting, arguing, whining, decrying their marriage...except for this wheezing, helpless laughter. Coming from Dumbledore.~Lotm
I've read this before, on Ashwinder perhaps - but now I'm down and out with three bones broken in my left leg (and just before Police Academy). Hehehe. So I've decided to go through and nosh my way through your fabulous stories again. Thanks so much for sharing! :)
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
Well, I'm glad I can get your mind off your troubles! Don't forget I'm also posted at Ashwinder.SycophantHex.com, and RestrictedSection.org (That's where For Someone Special is posted, and that's long enough to take your mind off your troubles for at least a few days!)~Lotm
This end was very funny! I'm still laughing!! LOLThey fell in love very quickly but I really love this story!!Nice job =DCya ;)
I've read it before and I'll read it again and it just keeps getting better and better! I'd be interested in a follow up though...The baby, the honeymoon, more of Ron's fainting, *in the delivery room perhaps?* the final destruction of Aunt Hell? *condemmed to listen to Binn's lecture for the next 60 yrs?*Everything you write is exquisite! I've had a stroke and reading your works have really kept my spirits up!Blessings and hugs

I'm glad I'm keeping up your spirits, but I'm swamped for time at the moment, so I don't know if or when I'd be able to pounce on that particular plot-bunny. It would be funny to see the whole pregnancy thing (caveat: Ron would NOT be in the delivery room, ewww), but I don't know when I'll have the time to write it out...~Lotm
I thought that was such a fun story!!
OH MY GOSH!!!!! This is bloody fantastic!! I absolutely adore it!!! An instant favorite!!
Loved it please please please do a follow up
Upon reading this for the third time, I think that I like it even better this time. I think that I reviewed it some time ago, perhaps on another site. I still think that the further adventures of Snape and Hermione in their married life could be great fun; the other members of the Order and Hermione's friends really have it in for Severus. I know that you write a lot of short pieces; I really wish that you would write some more longer ones. Some of your Drabbles could be the subjects of longer stories. Your one really long story was excellent as was "I Have a Secret." I have klicked on the Add Favorite Author; I hope that it is set up to send emails when the author writes new stories; some sites do that. Anyway, I really enjoy your writing.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
Thank you, Deltastar; I'm pleased I could entertain you so much and so well! The longer stories are harder to write, because they take a lot more time and effort to produce, including coming up with a worthy plotline to follow for so far and so long. Since I'm now employed as a paid (*omgsqueethud* <--sound of me still freaking out and fainting, though it's been 9 or so months since I first got the offer) author with a contract to write actual to-be-published novels, I can't devote as much time to the longer stuff as I otherwise could and would....If it would reassure you, I am working in my spare time on a longer SS/HG piece, one that is currently 50,000 words and counting...and I haven't gotten to any real smut, yet, though there is some already planned for the future chapters. I don't know how long it'll be, nor when I'll post the first chapter here at PetulantPoetess, but it'll get finished and posted, I'm sure.In the meantime, I hope each successive re-read of my works continues to enthrall and entertain you!~Lotm
Response from Deltastar100 (Reviewer)
I'm glad to hear that you are writing a longer piece. Congratulations on your contract for a commercial novel; will you give us the title when you publish? I'm very curious on how your fic writing has prepared you for other writing. Thanks for replying.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
...I owe you an apology for not responding to your reply, but PetulantPoetess doesn't have a feature to alert the author when someone responds a second time to something that's already been responded to by the author...*grrs a bit*Anyway, I finally had a bit of free time, got off my duff, and have been skimming through previous reviews, looking for second responses just like this one. So (again with apologies for the extreme delay), here's the information you seek. The website has info on all the current news, and links to where you can buy everything:http://www.jeanjohnson.netThe first two books are already out. They're called The Sword, and The Wolf, and they're part of what will eventually be an 8-book series of fantasy-romance novels. Each book is a romance novel, but the overall plot arc of the series is fantasy. The third book, The Master, comes out at the start of September 2007, and the fourth book, The Song, comes out February 2008. (The website has more info; feel free to peek at everything!)As for how fanfic has prepared me for other writing...it's helped to finish maturing my writing. I still have room for improvement, but writing such long, involved, inventive, specifically-characterized stories has definitely worked to polish my writing abilities. Here's hoping you enjoy my original stuff, if it looks interesting enough to buy!~Lotm
Three words - excellent - Excellent - EXCELLENT!!!
Absolutely wonderful story. Spent half my time laughing and the other half breathing hard Definetely 2 thumbs up and one of my fave stories!!!!!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
Yay, you got a good cardio-vascular workout! (not to mention exercised all those endocrines, too!)~Lotmsciency-geek-type
Oh, my ... *wipes tear away* That was fun! Half of the time I was doing a Dumbledore, i.e. leaning back in my chair and howling with laughter. Ron fainting, Harry fainting ... and McGonagall's reaction ... *giggles*
Hah, I knew it! I knew that all it needed was to give them a good shake to make them see that they are made for each other! *giggles some more* I especially liked the 99% +/- 2 % ... 101% compatability! *cheers*
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
Yay! I got someone to rock in their chair like Dumbly-dore! I feel the same way, too, actually. *shakes & shimmies her favorite pairing...*~Lotm
That was fantastic... I haven't been feeling well the past two days and there is nothing like a bit of Snape/Hermione smut to make me feel better! I loved the ending - Harry fainting! lol.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
I'm glad I could distract you from your misery for a little while. I hope you recover soon! ~Lotm
Bloody hilarious! I do so love a happy ending. :)
Well, i just have to say that i love this story!!I was looking for a fic to cheer me up and this did it superbly. Thank you ^^ Lux
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
Yay! It's fluff, but it's good fluff. Cheerfulness-inducing fluff. ;-DI'm glad you liked it, Lux!~Lotm
very creative! i especially like Ron and Harry fainting. That's hilarious!
I really enjoyed your story :) Thank you
Aunt hell ::chuckle:: oh yeah i got me one of those!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
It goes without saying that you have my sympathies for your unfortunate relatedness to one of these...things. (Personally, I'd used a vaudun doll to take out a few frustrations and return a few torments...if I weren't worried about my karma taking some negative hits for it. And yes, I realize those are two different theologies. Meh.) Anyway, my sympathies!
Hugs,
~Lotm
LMFAO! The last part made me laugh. "...Er, no," the unseen redhead in question replied. "But Harry did!" I loved it! Every-bit of it. I wonder, what happened to Hermione's aunt? Ah, she doesn't matter anyhow. This is going on my favourites!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of Matrimony)
I think the creditors got to her and she was thrown into the modern equivalent of Newgate Prison (used for debtors in previous centuries; nasty place)... ~Lotm
Brava! I am so happy to have found this story, because it put a big smile on my face, and made me very happy. Thank you so much!
~hugs~ Beth
What a lovely chapter! And the tone of it was set when I read this part at the beginning:
She could feel the warmth of his hand searing through all three layers of her clothes. The intensity in his dark gaze was not an expression she was accustomed to seeing. Not quite like that, though she'd seen something somewhat similar when he'd been lecturing in that low, silky voice of his, fired with tightly contained enthusiasm that had always reminded her of a basement furnace, forgotten for the most part by the rest of the house but undeniably the source of all its energy.
Now I'm off to the epilogue!Beth
I don't know how I missed reading this for so many years! My bad- definitely my bad. I saw this recced on FB today and I'm so glad I did. This is the most fun I've had all day. Thank you.Beth
Great fic! Thank you for sharing! :D
Lovely, funny story, thank you!
