Albus and Minerva should never got involved in the first place.  Their meddling only makes it worse and it takes longer for the couple to fix their relationship afterwards.  I'm surprised Severus thinks he can have it both ways.  Touch and be touched by whomever,  while Hermione can only have him. You know, a lot of people misinterpret the Bible where it says that the "sins of the father will be passed on to the future generations". In the Hebrew, what it really means is that the "consequences" will be handed down. My grandfather beat my mother, and she in turn beat me. My mom does not carry the "sin" of her father, he has to account for his actions. But the consequences are there. She passed on the dysfunction in our relationship. I have problems with my temper with my daughter, but I am determined to break the cycle of abuse. I do not hit my daughter. I am not perfect, I do yell, but when I do, I apologize and tel her mommy was wrong and I'm sorry and it's not her fault. Hopefully, she will be less damaged as an adult.It is good to see the background as to how Severus' father warped him into the man he became. It's easy to say- "oh, Snape- he's a bastard" and that's it. No, violence begets violence and it is a cold reality that as humans, we are never going to be perfect, but I beleive with God's help we can change. I know that, from my own experience that He is changing me, little by little.This has been a great fic. I can't wait to see how it will all wrap up.Livvy

This story is just gut-wrenching! Such an emotional rollercoaster. But you have captured the level of dysfuctional that I've felt about Snape's character for a long time now. He doesn't get what love is. Love is possession, obsession, it's f@#ked up! I wonder if you would take a look a the fic I've been posting, "Possession". I wonder what you would think about it. Especially the next chapter that is coming up. I see parallels with this story and mine. It's weird!I love this fic, although it wears me out! Came across this story today after doing a random search.  Read it all through and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Your character portrayals are brilliant.  It was a deeply motivating story that proves love can conquer all.

I finally got round to finishing this story. Whenever I read a story that is this long, it really has to be good and show great character-development, like Severus sure did. This must be one of the better long stories I've read, will definately check out anything else you might have. :)

Well, I'm reading this one again too.  It's weird to read the sneeky, somewhat lightheartedness of this chapter, knowing how dark and deep this story gets, and the growth they will go through.  And I'm off!
