Ouchies!  A verbal faux-pas from SS and HG was there to hear it!  Though their talk up in the tower did take some of the heat off Sev, it does put their relationship under the bare bulb of scrutiny.  Hmm...Harry, oh Harry!  When will he GET IT!  His continued failing at Occlumancy does not bode well.  What will Snape say to him in private??  Oye!  ;)  Great chapter!

I feel bad for Hermione. Her reaction to what Severus said about the engagement shows me that on some level, she was considering marriage to him. Severus is angry by everyone's assumption, and the following conversation with Hermione that was its result. Add Weasley and Harry's lack of concentration and improvement to the list, and that gives you a very explosive situation, as we have just seen. Minerva certainly didn't help matters by trying to soften things up for Harry. She's trying to coddle him, like Harry wants, and never even gave thought to everything Severus had gone through over the years, without help or concern from anyone.

Well, I have goosebumps.  That was a very enlightening chapter.  I think you have captured Severus' anger perfectly.

Very eventful chapter, if Harry doesn't get his act together,they are royally screwed.  Poor Tonks, she seems to be as verbally clumbsy as physically, Hermione took it bad but I think Severus will get things put together.

I suppose the rumor is going to run through the castle now. I wonder how Harry and Ron would react but most importanlty what Severus and Hermione would say.

Hahaha!!! I thought it hilarious that Remus and Tonks thought Severus proposed. Of course, him getting down on one knee to apologize made it appear that way. I'm looking forward to that rumor.  I'm glad Severus and Hermione worked all of that out. If Severus wasn't so injured, the make up sex would be amazing.
