Reviews for The Centre of the World
This was very interesting and really a joy to read. Its wonderfly written
I very much like how you pulled the canon bits in here so well. I like this piece very much. I would even enjoy another chapter or 2. Which means, well done. You left the reader wanting more.
Really lovely. It´s amazing how you manage to narrate such a slow developing romance in just one shot. It´s just a perfect masterpiece. Please no sequels. Leave this beautiful tale just as it is: short, beautiful and whole. It´s so delicate a tale that you shouldn´t touch it or you may spoil it. The untlod question reminds me of the unheard words at the end of "Lost in Translation". I imagine those words being of the same nature. You just fed the fluffy teddy bear that lives inside of me! . I hope to read much from you. My fluffy teddy bear is hungry for more.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows*
I think that there won't be a sequel. I toyed with the idea, yes, but then I have so many ideas for other one-shots or smal stories; and, of course, a planned sequel would only spoil a one-shot that came directly from the muses (without stopping in the brain; these are always the best).
More for the teddy bear? Well, She Stoops to Conquer is finished, but I'm still trying to get a beta via Perfect Imagination to proof-read it, and until I got hold on one of them and had them beta it, I won't start posting. But there's more to come. ^-^
Lovely. I loved the slow, dawning realization on Hermione's part and his devotion, so very Snape-like.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows deeply*
Yep, agree with everyone else, a truly delightful piece. A very well written story, and the progression of the relationship shown beautifully - intimacy without physical intimacy. Even though I'm usually pretty greedy about wanting sequels to good writing, in this case I'm not sure it needs a sequel, it's so self-contained. But, looking forward to the next fic of yours.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows*
Chapter 1 and 2 of She Stoops to Conquer just went out to my betas, and I'll start posting as soon as I finished the epilogue. Don't worry, there's only chapter 3 in between.
Is this the end? I wanted to know what the question Severus wanted to ask Hermione was! But this kind of feels like a one-shot.Either way, it's very well written and sweet. I enjoyed it a lot. Wonderful job, and I hope you write more SS/HG stories in the future! Pretty please?!
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows*
Yes, this is a one-shot, though I might one day, when the muse decide it, write a sequel. Perhaps even the one where Severus asks the question.
About the nature of that question, one reviewer suggested that he will ask her what she meant when she said 'It's always been you' and if she wants it to continue always being him. I thought that a nice alternative to the usual question, that I had him in mind to ask. But the meaning is the same. He wants to marry her. ^-^
More SS/HG stories? Yes, at least one. It's called She Stoops to Conquer, and chapter one and two are ready and on their way to my betas.
Very nice.
I'll be looking forward to She Stoops to Conquer.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you and thank you - for reviewing and for looking forward to an unknown fic. I feel so special now. *smiles happily* And will fly immediately and finish She Stoops to Conquer. Excuse me. *bows and vanishes*
I've enjoyed this. What's the question? If she will be his woman? I see her answer is yes and just like it.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thanks for reviewing. I'm glad you liked it.
Yep, that will be his question. ^-^
Lovely story! So beatuiful and well written.

AUGH--It ENDED!! Need to write more! *whiiiinge, lol* ...*flutters eyelashes* Pwetty pweeeeeese? ;-D~Lotm
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thanks for this very enthusiastic review. *grins*
More? Hm. Well, I might one day write a sequel, but that's for my muses to decide. However, if "more" means just simply more auntity-wise: I'm working on a little fic called She Stoops to Conquer. SS/HG as well, of course, but very different from Centre of the World. Yet, it is more. ^-^

Good 'nuff for me!~Lotm
I saw this rec'd at Potter Place and came to see, what a great tale! I really like it
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows deeply*
Lovely story with such a hopeful ending. Beautifully written.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows* I'm glad you enjoyed the reading. ^-^
I agree with dominatrix. This story was so lovely. It says just what needs to be said and ends perfectly. To elaborate on it would diminish its enthrall.
It's rare to come upon a one shot that leaves you content instead of frustrated for more.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows*
I don't think I'd ever write a companion piece from Snape's point of view. Somehow, it just doesn't feel right. I might, however, write a sequel one day. But that's for my muses to decide, and won't happen in the near future.
So much romance without even a single declaration of love. Yes. He was the one who found her ... He sits by her bedside for three days ... He's always there. I particularly love how you've used his scent to strengthen the fact that he always seems to be there. If ever I start to fall out of love with Severus Snape (?!) I will reread this story.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very, very much. *bows* I'm very glad you enjoyed the reading, and it is a great compliment that my little story would make you fall in love again. I feel humbled. *blushes happily*
This was a nice story, dear. I'm happy you posted it here. I'd like to think that his question is a query as to what she meant by saying it's always him or perhaps if she wants it to continue being always him. LOL. Lovely story.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows*
Hm, I hadn't thought once about the possibilities for the question that you named. Interesting, though. Yes, I can see him asking her if she wants it to continue being him ... that would be so much nicer and more original than what I thought he'd ask. And the result would be the same. ^-^
I noticed others were asking for Snape's POV. As a reviewer, I am requesting that you do not write one from Snape's POV (though, after all, it's your prerogative). This story was so completely "shown" - as opposed to "told" - that I have seen the development of Snape's feelings towards Hermione. This was such a brilliantly written story - a sequel or a companion piece would detract from the carefully crafted ending.
Thank you for posting this story.
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very, very much! *bows deeply* It makes me so happy to see that my carefully strewn hints are noticed. ^-^
As far as a sequel/ companion piece is concerned, I leave it to my muses to decide. I won't write a companion piece from his point of view; that doesn't feel right to me. I might write a sequel, though. But not for now. My muses and I are already busy with the next little SS/HG fic.
This was beautiful and engaging. I hung on every word, right up to the end. And even though you left the ending open to speculation, it is satisfying ... because how else could it end but with Severus at the centre of her world?
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very, very much. *bows*
Is the ending open to you? Ah, and there I tried so hard to make it clear ... but then, I wrote it, so I know what he is going to ask her - and what her answer will be. He is the centre of her world, after all - and she has become the centre of his world ...
Response from notsosaintly (Reviewer)
No, no ... you made it very clear as to Severus' intentions... don't worry about that. I thought of a couple questions he could ask, but the general idea was the same, that he had indeed become the centre of his world as well.
Oh that's so beautifully done. I love the thought of Snape always being there when she woke up. Now what is this question he's talking about?
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much! *bows*
Hm, the question? Think about what question you'd love him to ask Hermione, something that goes along with him protecting her and caring for her while she was unconscious ... *grins and winks*
This is beautiful. It left me feeling all happy and content. I really hope you'll write more in the future. :-) Very well done!
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thank you very much. *bows*
I'm working on a little SS/HG fic called She Stoops to Conquer. The bunny didn't let go of me. It's almost done and I hope to be able to post it soon. However, it's very different from Centre of the World - less romantic, more silly. ^-^
Such beauty, it`s simply breathtaking. Thank you very much.
this is extremely well-written. i love how you have all the scenes where snape and hermione interact in the books. great job!
Response from CiraArana (Author of The Centre of the World)
Thanks a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
