Agreed. I tried to justify it to myself because love and hate are so closely intwined, and also because Harry has been carrying his feelings for Snape inside him for so long. Those feelings had conflicted him throughout his school life and he used  the horror of Dumbledore's death to turn the love/desire into what he thought was pure hate, using that to both avenge DD's death and to finally be able to express something to/for Snape.  Thanks for reading!
